3 Perfected Decades

3 Perfected Decades
Me, Uncle Shogun, and Grandpa

My father and grandfather had a bad relationship. Not just with Dad, but with Uncle Shogun too. Grandpa's nature was authoritarian to all his family, which they disliked. And his two sons had a rebellion after adolescence. Since then, their relationship has deteriorated. Every time they meet, they will argue for a long time, until one of them feels sick and chooses to leave.

In their past lives, there was regret within them. The elderly grandfather had no place to share with his family. Only with a maid in her house can she tell her family about her longing. Father had not apologized to Grandfather before his sudden death. And Uncle Shogun got married without Grandpa attending. Because Grandpa died one day before Uncle Shogun's wedding.

Now I have to figure out how to change Grandpa's stubborn and disputable nature. I came to Grandpa's house with a crackle of avocado. Because I know that Grandpa likes that fruit. Eat it directly or prepare it first.

I went during the day to Grandpa's house on a bicycle. And it was only half an hour later because I was pedaling with all my might. Grandpa's house is a long way away. Once in front of Grandpa's house, there was Uncle Shogun, who was visiting.

" Ah, is the tumben king here? Same who?" Uncle asked as soon as he saw me parked my bike near the porch.

" Only by yourself, Uncle. Uncle also tumben, don't you go to work?" Ask me back while I kiss her hands in reverence.

" Uncle there needs to be the same Grandpa." He said with a shy smile.

" Ah, definitely want to ask Grandpa's blessing. Because you want to marry your Uncle, right?" I said and there was a clear sense of surprise on his face.

" You're a snob, you know!" Uncle Shogun said as he walked into Grandpa's house, and was followed by me while he was carrying a crackle containing Avocados.

My Uncle and I were looking for Grandpa inside the house and it wasn't there. Also in the back and side pages, it cannot be found. I also circled the entire area of the house either the first floor or the second floor of Grandpa's house. But still Grandpa could not be found.

" Maybe Grandpa's going to the fields." I said while sitting on the chair, because my feet hurt after being tired of pedaling a bike that was a good distance away, now had to circle the entire room in Grandpa's house.

" We'll wait, then." It turned out that Uncle was also following along sitting beside me.

" Oh, yes Uncle. Yesterday night Dad had an accident while going to the village on the edge of town. Dad fell into the abyss." I said, while looking at Uncle whose face immediately turned pale when he heard from me.

" But your dad's okay?" He asked by holding both of my arms.

" Yes, fortunately Dad and his friend quickly got help and were immediately treated intensively yesterday." I said while trying to get my arm out of Uncle Shogun's hand.

" Dad was just a minor concussion, and is now still hospitalized." Continue me again after successfully escaping from Uncle's grip.

" Would we go to the hospital together?" Bring Uncle Shogun to me.

" I want to meet Grandpa first. And tell him this news." I said tell you my purpose for coming here.

Me and Uncle Shogun sat together while talking trivial things. I also shared my dreams for the future. It didn't feel like an hour, I talked to Uncle. But the Grandpa we were waiting for didn't even have his nose.

" Are we going home and going straight to the hospital!" Take Uncle to me, and I answer with a headband.

There was a sound of someone coughing in front of the house. So I walked over to see who was in front of the house. Turns out it was Grandpa who had just come home from nowhere. Because he left on his old favorite beetle bike.

" Grandpa! Where the hell is that?" I asked when I saw Grandpa putting his bike in the garage.

" Grandfather just got home from the Village Chief's house." Grandpa replied as he walked into the house and left me alone on the porch.

" Aishis…. Grandpa, don't invite me into the house. I have come to greet him." Grumpily I'm because of Grandpa's indifference.

When I walked into the living room, Uncle and Grandpa were talking seriously. So I sat quietly listening to both of them. Apparently Uncle told Grandpa that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. And they plan to get married next year. But Grandfather disagreed, because it was too long. Grandpa wants Uncle as soon as he wants to get married. But Uncle didn't want to force his lover.

Grandfather was angry with Uncle because he was firm in his stance, if he was going to get married next year instead of the current year. Grandpa wants Uncle to do as he wants. While Uncle thought about the circumstances and desires of the people around him. Because I was tired of shouting at them while talking, I decided to mediate between them both.

" Uncle, I mean Grandpa's wedding time to be accelerated, because Grandpa is old. We don't know someone's age. Grandpa just wanted to feel the happiness Uncle felt." I said to Uncle, and he just kept quiet to hear my words. Grandfather nodded his head justifying what I said.

" Grandfather, do not always blame others, because it is not in accordance with Grandpa's wishes. Uncle also did like that, having already thought about it carefully. I'm also sure they must have made that plan with careful thought by Uncle and his girlfriend." I said tell Uncle Shogun's point. And even Uncle Shogun confirmed what I said.

" If I'm allowed to talk and give you ideas. I'll ask Grandpa to propose to Uncle's lover officially by coming directly to see the parents of the bridegroom." My advice to both of them.

" We just have to talk again with Uncle's girlfriend's family. When and where will the wedding take place?" Continue me again. Now I see the two people sitting still thinking about what I said just now.

" Yes, Grandpa agreed with what the King said. Tell your beloved's family that our family will make a proposal to their daughter." My Grandfather said it finally withered as well, after his debate with Uncle Shogun.

I'm happy, too, because Grandpa wants to listen to me. Grandpa couldn't watch Uncle's wedding, and it made our extended family sad at the historic day in Uncle Shogun's life.
