Hatred is evident from Ella and Maya's eyes upon the arrival of Granny Xiao, Gavin and Rio. For both of them their existence is a great threat to the mother and child.

Nathan opened Aster's room impatiently. Inside, Aster was walking his things.

Nathan walked up to Aster who looked as unwilling as he could, even his beautiful face looking wet by the melt of his fake tears. It's just eye drops.

Hearing what Nathan said made Aster cry for real. He was so moved to hear the words of his adoptive father.
