Chapter 5: Big Brother Yun Yi's and Mother's Birthday

Yun Jian and Lu Feiyan had just arrived at the classroom when Yun Jian caught a glimpse of the plate hanging on the wall above the door frame. Thick red printed posts with “Class 9 Class 6”.

Yun Jian suddenly realized his current identity, an ordinary student who had just entered ninth grade.

Pressing her lips with raised eyebrows, she smiled with a nod, walking to class.

He sat at the third table of the third row. His body though not very tall, was also not too short; he had an average height in class, so his seat was also in the middle.

Incidentally, it was the best seat in the class.

Lu Feiyan sat a little further away from him. Ever since the class started, he ran to his desk first without telling Yun Jian.

Yun Jian sat down as well. As the two took their places, a fat female teacher walked in.

This is Mrs Jin. Madam Jin was in her thirties but she looked several years younger than her actual age.

Madam Jin is usually friendly, being the homeroom teacher for Class 9 of Class 6, and teaching them Chinese. She is involved in her lessons and will tell the stories of the students, making her class a favorite among the students.

Madam Jin put her book on the podium and took out a Chinese textbook after she entered to start classes.

As the class lasted until the afternoon, Yun Jian did not get bored despite having studied its contents. He should be fluent in every subject when he is in the organization; that includes mastering all school lessons. Otherwise, he would be eliminated in that world.

Regardless, Yun Jian was still paying attention to the class. He enjoys the learning process.

The school disbanded on time at 16:50.

It was Friday. Without an evening self-study session, early dismissal. Self-study sessions start from Monday to Thursday, so school return hours are usually around 8 p.m.

Before Madam Jin announced the class was disbanded, some of the mischievous boys in the class quietly slipped out with their bags from the back door as soon as the bell rang. The cute group was dizzying the homeroom teacher, but he was helpless about them.

As soon as their teacher left, the students took their school bag and skipped home.

Friday's stop was the happiest time of the week.

“Xiao Jian, wait! Let's go together!" Lu Feiyan packed his things quickly and shouted at Yun Jian.

Lu Feiyan was a close friend of the current owner of his body. He was a good friend as well, who tried to help when the original owner of the body was bullied and did not distance himself from Yun Jian despite possibly opposing Lin Mengyu.

Lu Feiyan finished packing his bag in a minute and ran over, telling Yun Jian somewhat excitedly, "Let's go!"

“Mm,” replied Yun Jian gently with a nod and walked towards the school gate with Lu Feiyan.

Xinjiang City Junior High School was in the center of Xinjiang City while Yun Jian and Lu Feiyan's houses were in the same direction. Both are on the same way home.

As they stepped out of the school gate, Yun Jian heard a male voice calling from the side, "Xiao Jian!"

Slightly surprised, he turned to look at a tall teenager around seventeen or eighteen years old, wearing a set of sports clothes, standing on the steps of the school gate staring at him.

When Yun Jian saw the handsome boy, he first disappeared before the memories belonging to the original owner of his body spilled into his mind.

The teenager was none other than the older sister of the girl, Yun Yi.

Now that he had taken over the body of the original owner, did that mean Yun Yi was his elder brother?

In his previous life, Yun Jian was separated from his family at a young age. When he found them, only his younger brother was left. He had only seen his younger brother once, the latter being killed before he could appreciate the family ties between them.

Never having experienced family love, Yun Jian looked at Yun Yi in shock before carefully uttering one word, "Brother?"

Yun Yi leaped off the stairs conspicuously and walked towards Yun Jian and Lu Feiyan. She casually wrapped her arms around his sister's shoulder and grinned, the pull of her lips was enough to make the girls around them scream.

“Mm, Xiao Jiao, your brother, me, was also dismissed earlier today. So I'm here to pick you up after school. Don't forget that it's my birthday today! He has worked hard for us all his life, we should treat him well today.” Yun Yi hummed in return before deciding to say more, afraid that Yun Jian would forget what day it was.

Yun Jian did not know what was going on until he found his answer in the memories of his original owner.

The girl's family relationship is a little complicated. She has a biological older brother whose excellent results in last year's high school entrance exams earned her a place in the city's leading high school.

It was Friday and their mother's birthday. Yun Yi had told the girl before that she would rush back from the city today to celebrate their mother's birthday. That should be a surprise.
