The Hospital

Anna's footsteps quickly walked down the corridor to Joe's room in the hospital. Behind Anna, Ethan's long footsteps followed. Ethan's face is seen holding a lot of doubt on his face, but soon he's tepis, when Anna's legs and feet have stopped right at Joe's treatment door.

Name label on ICU room door. Anna was seen sighing as she read the man's name. He looks back, only to examine Ethan's face. The man's face looked flat.

"Ethan, if you're not willing to go in. Wait for me outside" Anna asked.

"Go in first, not the ICU. Just for one visitor each time," replied Ethan who was seen putting on an indifferent face later, and leaning against the wall.

Anna smiles at Ethan, before opening the door. A nun came to greet her and asked Anna to show the visitor's card to the nun.

"Only 30 minutes. Can't linger. He's in a coma. So you just have to talk close to her ear" Sister suggested.

"Please use a mask and PPE." The nurse gave a package of personal protective equipment, and a mask to Anna. After Anna put on APD clothes, the sisters left the room.

Anna stepped further inside until she reached the side of the bankars, where Joe Han lay.

Anna took a chair and sat down on the side closest to Joe. Recalling Sister's suggestion, Anna leaned her head closer to Joe's ear, and began greeting the lying man whose consciousness had been lost.

"Joe, it's Anna. How you doing?" ask Anna.

Not getting an answer.

Anna smiled bitterly. Then he dared to look at Joe's face. Paper-white face with blue bruises that still imprint. Although it is very vague. But Anna guesses the blue bruise trail is the one that Ethan left behind.

Anna closed her eyes to absorb the pain that had suddenly raged within her chest. The two men's names seemed to overlap filling his mind.

Ethan turns to chase, but soon uncovers his intentions, when he realizes his goal is to enter the ICU room. He turned back around, and stared pushyly as his pair of eyes found Joe Han lying with many hoses on his body on top of the bankars.

Ethan advanced slowly and drew closer to the figure who first made his whole body and heart startled at what he had done. For the first time, he cared for someone who had been the victim of the magnitude of his anger.

Ethan sat on the bankars side. The wet trail still imprints on the light blue bed sheet. Ethan was silent for a moment, guessing it must have been the rain Anna had created, for Joe.

Ethan clenched all his teeth tightly, trying hard not to wriggle. For the first time his soul and mind wanted to wrangle over his deeds. But saying sorry, for him is not a necessity.

For the first time, Ethan is down. It was as if Anna's request was buzzing whispering her back.

'I apologize to her as long as she still has a breath that makes her ears hear your apology, Ethan.'

Ethan grabbed Joe's cold hand, summed it up briefly in his grasp, and then he said whispering loudly to the man lying down.

"You must live to repay me. Never wake up if you give up
