Episode 9

"How's grandpa doing?" greet Davin as she comes to the hospital visiting her grandfather who is lying weakly on the treatment bed.

Ji Sung turned his head to look at Davin with little exertion due to his weak body. Even the nurse who cared for him helped him to sit down despite being weak.

"Matt.." whispered Ji Sung. Davin approached as his grandfather waved at him.

"You coming?" ji Sung asked, looking at Davin with a look of contemptuous eyes, enduring the pain of his body.

"Yes grandfather." Davin replied politely.

"Sit down!" Ji Sung pointed at the chair beside his bed. Davin understood and sat down.

"Go! I want to talk to my granddaughter" she and her nurse and trusted assistant left Ji Sung's VVIP room.

Ji Sung stared long at Davin's face which was very similar to his daughter but a male version. When he was a child, Davin was very similar to his father. But growing up his father's face changed to look like his mother's face. Only his attitude and nature resembled his father. Maybe because since he was a baby Davin more often with his mother.

"How's grandpa doing?" ask Davin after a long time of silence.

"Yes..this is how the old man.ha.ha.ha.ha.." Ji Sung's voice accompanied by the laughter of the old man's voice made him cough even though not to get closer.

"Grandpa's okay?" davin asked to help Ji Sung pat his grandfather on the back slowly hoping to reduce his grandfather's cough.

"It's okay, it's normal for grandfather." Ji Sung tries to slow down Davin's hand, not wanting her grandson to feel bothered by her.

Ji Sung felt so guilty about Davin. Only Davin was a grandson who was wasted when he was a child. Ji Sung doesn't want his grandson to hate him for his former neglect. But it seems Ji Sung's anxiety is unreasonable. Davin's granddaughter continues to treat her as her granddaughter should.

In his eyes there was no revenge for him. Only genuine affection for him. Ji Sung was so grateful that his granddaughter could be so well educated by his daughter.

"I'm sorry grandpa.." Ji Sung looked at Davin intensely.

"What did grandpa say?" answer Davin.

"Surely grandfather regretted ignoring you when you were a child." Davin was silent to his grandfather's words, a moment flashed through his mind about his childhood having lived in a small apartment that was only enough for him to live with his mother first.

"I've forgiven grandfather, mama has said everything. Grandfather used to always watch over me even from afar. So, grandfather didn't abandon me." Davin replied making Ji Sung's eyes tear up with his grandson's words.

"Grandfather is proud of you and your mother for raising her son so well." Ji Sung began to lay down his body because he felt weak and could no longer sit.

"Thank you."

"I'm the one who should thank grandpa." Ji Sung patted his grandson's cheeks gently with a smile, as if his heavy burden had been lifted all along already.

Kim's entire family is in mourning today. All just silence in silence. Only Ji An was seen crying from being hit with the father's departure. After all, he was the only parent he had since his mother died at the age of ten.

His father gave all his affection to him. Ji Won also cried while hugging on the side of her twin sister. Arthur clutched his wife's body that looked weak from crying too much.

Davin was silent in front of a photo of his grandfather who had been cremated an hour ago. The mourners have started to go home, now only his extended family lives.

The atmosphere of his grandfather's house still looks gloomy because only a few days left the departure of the great master.
