Chapter 25

Krishna immediately left for the Demo location which was at the intersection of the highway monument. After successfully meeting Andre who turned out to be so arrogant, Krisna went to class for college. He could not concentrate fully because of it.

Krishna put himself in front of the line. There were a lot of students who took part in the demo on the farm day. Starting from HMI, KAMMI, IMM and PMII they joined in addition to representatives from BEM campus in addition to the university. Krisna smiled seeing that it turns out there are still people who care about the fate of farmers in this country. There are so many things that make our country as an agrarian country is not as advanced as before, rice is still imported even though we have our own land. And other policies that harm farmers.

Krishna stood in front carrying a megaphone. His friends formed a line. Women coiled in the middle while men coiled protecting women in the front row. There were a lot of policemen there to watch the demo.

Krishna.  "Have Indonesian farmers prosper……?"

"Have Indonesian farmers had enough land to cultivate…..?" Krisna shouted loudly to make people echo to form the speech of Krishna.

"Have the farmer eaten enough…..?"

"This question above is what we must answer together both as farmers, farmer activists, managers of peasant organizations, or the government of the majority of the peasant population. And if we look at the data and facts, we agree to answer with the word “be yet”. This is a fact that exists in this agrarian country that we love.  According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, most of the poor are in the countryside."

"Our farmers are poor, our people are poor. Bring the President here to tell him to be a farmer!"

"Yes!" Shouting people.

That's when the intruder broke into the demo. Krishna stopped he started warning to stay calm do not be provoked by those people. But all ignored, the police also broke up. The atmosphere of the demo was chaotic, Krishna returned to the line trying to calm down until the moment he felt his back was hit.

Krishna's eyes bulged as the man pulled out a knife to stab him in the stomach. This is the threat Andre mentioned. That the man did not want to suffer alone. Kristina smiled weakly. Is this the end of his life? He had not even been able to repay Andre's evil deeds. But look when he was off guard, the man managed to intrude on his life.

Krishna's eyes were closed, but there was no pain he felt. He felt something was beating on his body. Krishna's eyes were wide open. He looked at her smiling friend. The man lay helplessly on top of his body.

Krishna's heart was squeezed. Seeing the person he already considered an older brother let himself be impaled for himself. Then Krisna saw the police walking towards her. Take your friend to the ambulance and also take him away separately with your friend.

"You I arrested for stabbing with a sharp object." Krishna shook his head quickly, trying to rebel in the midst of his helplessness. Then He observed the friend who was taken away from him.

"Break.." Krishna was crying, not him stabbing Rakan. He would not do that to a person who was considered a brother. Chris screamed like crazy.

"Detach, lepppppass. partnernmn." He wants to see the situation of friends. He wanted to make sure the man was okay. He wants to make sure. It felt like he was so sorry he didn't reply to Rakan this morning. He never said he loved that man like a brother.

Krisna was crying while being taken to the police station. It feels really shit, all his plans are falling apart when he thinks it's all over soon. But everything was chaotic, he was too arrogant should he know what he planned would not be able to run smoothly without the Ridha of God. Krishna cried regretting everything, what God did was certainly not possible. This was his fate that would probably end up in prison.
