CHAPTER 3

In September this year I had to move to Bandung because I had to teach at BR University in this city and not just teach it turned out I became the Chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics.

BR University has long been established in the city of Bandung, but so far there has been no major in Applied Mathematics. This year the department opened.

I have been teaching at University A which is quite famous in the city of Jakarra, about 12 years more I teach there.

From the start I went to college and became an assistant lecturer until I finally became a senior lecturer there.

I am an undergraduate S3 graduate of University A and graduate with the highest score. I used to go to college there because I got a student fee because I was in high school and was the best graduate.

From the beginning of S1 to pass S3 due to student duties, then I dedicated myself to become a teacher there.

Earlier this year I met my cousin Mas Sanjaya, who is the chairperson of the Foundation at BR University.

He applied for me to become a lecturer at his University because he knew my condition and ability.

It is certainly not easy, besides I am comfortable and have been in my place to teach for a long time then I also have some facilities from the university.

While mas Sanjaya asked me to teach at his University in the hope that I would be able to advance the university.

To move the city also to the city of Bandung of course I have to think carefully.

Even mas Sanjaya promised me more facilities, more salary even I will be made Chairman of the Department.

After I conferred with my extended family, with my sisters it turned out that all supported me.

Even my niece Ferryansyah and Martina they support me very much in the hope that they can take a vacation to the city of Bandung.

Finally after I had a long discussion with the rector and also some colleagues, even the Foundation also finally gave me permission to resign from University A.

In July, I resigned. After several times back and forth to the City of Bandung for the process of moving and so on finally in September I officially moved to the university BR and taught here.

Ma'am Mayang Mas Sanjaya's wife who found me a boarding house, which is a special boarding house employees.

The place is quite decent, in addition to the comfortable room, there is a bathroom inside there is also an AC facility. The rental price is not too expensive, quite affordable by employees.

Just to wash clothes must be alone, also provided the tool by the owner of the washing machine to be together.

But the owner of the boarding house, Mr. Yohan, suggested there was a washerman and iron as well but outside the boarding facility. Her name is mother Yamah our neighbor behind the kost.

Ibu Yamah's son, also named Wawan, works at a grocery store owned by Mr. Yohan.

And finally this afternoon in early September of this year I started living in this hostel and also tomorrow will be a new beginning at the University of BR where I will teach there.

My hope is that I can be well received by colleagues who have been there first. Also hopefully I can realize the hope of Sanjaya mas to be able to further advance the name of the university with a new major with the best quality.
