Who You Choose, My Husband

Who You Choose, My Husband
15. Who You Choose My Husband

"Hi, come upstairs!!"

Arsy just shut up. "No, thanks. Mr. Jo and I weren't that close" Arsy said, stepping back from the luxury car.

Arsy's steps accelerated after realizing the man's car was following him. When you see a taxi car stopping not far from him is stopping to drop off passengers.

"Taxi, wait!!" Pekik Arsy walked quickly to the taxi that had been waiting for him. The taxi drove by after he gave her home address.

"Are they fighting? Why is it that I, too, have a closed woman, are afraid of me?"

"Haisshh.. They're so annoying!!"

"Awhile, sir. I took the money inside" said Arsy when he just got to the front of the house.

Arsy got out of the taxi and went into the house. He did not notice that Haris was also at home. The focus is just to climb the stairs and get into the room. He took two pieces of red banknotes, then went back out of the house.

"This sir. Thanks a lot, sir!" Arsy said sincerely.

"Okay, Mom. A single sheet is enough, there are even more." The taxi driver said.

"It's okay, sir. The return is for the father, who" said Arsy.

"Thank you, Mom."

Then the taxi left his house. Arsy just realized Haris' car was at home. He rushed inside looking for Haris' whereabouts.

"Mas," called Arsy walking over to the chaotic-looking Haris staring at him.

Arsy's heart wonders, what happened to Haris?

What happened to her husband?

Arsy's body stiffens while Haris's arms warm up.

"Sorry, mas. I was looking for you in the hospital. I'm worried" said Haris. Haris' voice sounded worried.

Hearing Haris' words actually makes Arsy feel guilty because he had not thought about their problems after meeting Jo, earlier.

"Don't think about it, ma. Oh yeah, Arsy took a shower for a second, huh?!" Said Arsy then.

"Mas come along" cried Haris smiling meaningfully and Arsy could only nod with blushing cheeks.

Without feeling it has been a long time passed as the first wife who was constantly hurt. As of now, Laila's situation had indeed improved. However, Rahma's mother and Sandra's mother become more caring for Laila.

Which requires that Arsy must also take care of Laila and not let Laila do anything according to the orders of the mothers. They said Laila should not do heavy work to get pregnant soon, again.

They did it too because Arsy wasn't pregnant. Nor does Arsy know why God so tests him with this imperfection.

And so is Haris. He also wants to have time alone with Arsy, but because Laila's indulgence makes him go awry. Too often the man apologizes to Arsy for his unfair treatment. And Arsy can only forgive and understand.

If it's not like that, Arsy can what? She was just the first neglected wife.

The business of selling Mukenah and Arsy's gamis was eventually postponed because they did not have free time. Let it be, one day it will continue if it is not as busy at this time.

Arsy never saw Jo again. I don't know where his nose is to the extent that it never shows itself, again. However, this is better because Arsy does not want to be a slander in later days.

"Arsy," call Laila sitting at the dinner table and Arsy is arranging the food there.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Do you hate me?" Ask Laila again.

Laila was silent for a moment. "No. I don't hate you."
