Where Are You, Love

Where Are You, Love
The Holiday I Regret

Since the day Gio drove her home, Sarah was officially called a girlfriend even though Sarah once said "think first" but Gio treated her very special.

Ah indeed since Middle School Sarah has never long held the status of single, at most 3 months was not because no one offered to invite Sarah soan, not only, but some men often he refused because it does not fit his criteria.

Sarah always fell in love with a man who was 3-4 years older than her. As of now, Sarah fell in the arms of Gio, a famous Hospitality college kid in Bandung who was 3 years old on it.

Gio's affection the more days make Sarah comfortable and happy. Almost every day unless there are hours of college, Gio faithfully takes Sarah to school like a private driver. The family begins to worry at the closeness of the two of them and often warns Sarah about it.

That morning at 6:35 Gio was parked in front of Sarah's house. Sarah's late tumben usually 6.30 she's already in the car. Gio intended to get out of the car knocking on his door when he heard a foot rushing half-running towards him.

"I'm sorry I'm late."

"Why baby tumben?"

"Let's tell you a story in the car."

The car drove and Sarah just fell silent.

"What's up, baby? Why is your sad face not as cheerful as usual?"

"I'm so sad because Grandpa is sick."

Seems like a severe pain because grandfather so did not talk much just silent staring at him while shedding tears when Sarah visited him.

Sarah and Grandpa are very close. Grandpa's house is located behind Sarah's house, only blocked 1 building of his brother's house.

"The night I went to see Grandpa, Grandpa was sick but didn't want to be taken to the hospital." Tears fell on Sarah's smooth cheeks.

"Relax baby, your grandfather will be fine..." Gio said as he wiped Sarah's tears and gently kissed Sarah's head as he stopped at a red light.

"Beb, Grandpa was like a father to me. Ever since I was a child, my grandfather used to hug me when I needed calmness, he used to play with me. Grandpa always makes me laugh when I'm sad and grandpa is loyal to guard and protect me when bad boys bother me."

"I can't afford to lose my grandfather, baby..." Sarah's cry exploded.

"Sssstttt calm down dear, everything will be fine." said Gio as he stroked Sarah's hand.

The end of year holidays arrive. Sarah greeted him with a cheerless heart as always. The vacation plan to the capital that his mother always arranged this time did not make him happy considering that his grandfather who was loved so much still lay helplessly sick.

"Mom, Sarah didn't come to Jakarta is okay? This time aja ma'am, Sarah does not want to leave grandfather when grandfather is sick so" Pinta Sarah.

His mother looks disappointed because she has prepared for this holiday with her sister in Jakarta. Sarah knew she could not cancel her departure for a vacation because she did not want to disappoint her mother's wishes.

"Can't Sarah, your appointment has prepared everything there even he took 3 days off to take care of your vacation and your sisters at home."

"Tomorrow in the morning you should still go as planned. Take it easy, Grandpa won't do anything. Everything's gonna be fine. Let's just pray that Grandpa will get well soon, baby." Mother stroking Sarah's head was calming.

Sarah's tears were pooling on her cheeks. Sarah washes dishes in tears as she rubs her cheeks and the foam from the green dishwashing soap sticks to her cheeks. Sarah doesn't care. Sarah continued to do the dishes because after that she still had to do the laundry.

It just so happens that the waiter at Sarah's house is coming home because her sister is married. As the firstborn, Sarah was given the task of doing all the household chores while her mother worked teaching at a High School.

*****

Her aunt had been staying overnight to pick up her three beautiful nieces to her house. Come-ayo shower everything then breakfast we must go to Jakarta before 8! Pinta. Sarah had to step foot into the bathroom and then came out carrying her toiletries and put them in the bag she was going to take for the holidays.

After everything was ready to go, Sarah begged to go see her grandfather. While crying and kissing the back of the hands of his grandmother and grandfather.

"Sarah pamil ya Kek, Grandma, Sarah does not want to go when grandfather is sick like this but Sarah is not able to resist the wishes of Mother."

Grandpa just looked at her sadly and shed his tears. The embrace of her beloved granddaughter was long uncharacteristic as if it was her last hug for Sarah.

Sarah's hair was soft and whispered "Take good care of yourself when grandfather can't take care of you."

The sound made Sarah cry even more. "Sarah will be home soon and we will laugh together again. Is that right, Cake?"

Grandfather just stared at him.

"Go Cu, they're waiting for you." With the insistence of the grandmother, Sarah went to walk out of the house limp.

That afternoon they had arrived at Liana's large aunt's house with each room installed AC so that the heat of the capital was not felt when in the house.

"Let's pray dzuhur first aunt will prepare lunch."

Aunt Liana who is not good at cooking ordered food from the outside or at least just frying sausages and potatoes like the previous year. This time, he chose a delivery of a large box of meat pizzas and a large box of cheese pizzas as his lunch.

Om and Aunt Liana always spoil her three nieces while on vacation because they only have 2 boys.

Later that night, after bathing and praying, Sarah chose to be alone in her room on the 2nd floor. Sarah skipped dinner because she suddenly lost her appetite. The night, Sarah wants to sleep, but Sarah's mind continues to fly to her Grandpa in Bandung. Oh my God, what is this? why does Sarah remember grandpa keeps.

Sarah could not sleep when she saw the clock was showing at 12 past 10. Sarah desperately wants to borrow her tantic phone to call to Bandung looking for news about her grandfather but sees the locked house phone can not make long-distance calls...

huhh... Sarah opens the refrigerator and drinks cold mineral water hoping to cool her mind and go to sleep.

Sarah finally fell asleep for a while and woke up to the sound of the house phone ringing. "When he died"?

There was the sound of aunt Liana panicking on the phone, half jumping Sarah down from the bed and running to the 1st floor to meet her aunt. "Aunty, who died auntie, who?"

Sarah panicked for fear of hearing the news that her grandfather had died. Aunty said softly after hanging up the phone "The grandfather whispered."

Suddenly Sarah's cry exploded and she forced her aunt to drive her home to Bandung.

"Can't Sarah, auntie's power hasn't recovered after driving yesterday but your father sent his cousin to pick you up here."

"Just wait a few more hours to arrive, get ready."

Oh my God, the most frightening thing has finally happened. The old man she loved so much had left without her company. Grandpa was always there for Sarah, but why did you have to leave when Sarah wasn't next to you? inner Sarah

Grandpa, Sarah wants to see Grandpa... Sarah wants to hug grandpa... Sarah realized yesterday it was grandfather's last hug for her. Oh Gio, I need you, baby. Need you... Gio who was KKN at one of the big restaurants in Bandung was impossible to find and calm him down.
