"So there's a bad guy chasing, Mama. Sean and Grandma had to go home sooner because Mama was afraid that the bad guy would keep chasing us. Now Sean's gonna be safe with Mama and Grandma." Mentari couldn't have told Sean about Aditya. He's not ready to tell you about Sean's father and is afraid his son will be taken. Sean is the only one Mentari has.
Bu Sukma gently rubbed Mentari's shoulder. They're in the same vehicle, a taxi. Bu Sukma felt Mentari was hiding something. Seen from the look of his face that is not okay.
"Are you okay? I don't think you're okay."
Mentari glanced for a moment, then forced her smile. "I'm fine, Mom." Lying if he's okay, he's not okay right now. He goes to great lengths to hide the true circumstances from Sean. He was unwilling to make his son wonder about the problem he was currently facing.
Bu Sukma no longer asked anything to Mentari. He would not force the woman to tell him the problem.
"If you want to tell a story, I am ready to listen to all kinds of complaints that you are feeling right now. But never feel alone because Mother already considers you as her own mother's child. We both have no other relatives, so consider this mother as your biological mother and tell whatever story you want to tell. Don't be self-absorbed, don't feel alone, and never hide every problem you have. I'm ready to listen and if I can help you solve the problem."
Mentari smiled, but her tears came back. She quickly wiped away her tears as Sean asked.
"Mama's crying? Who has hurt my mother? Who's bad with mom? Say the same to Sean, Mah? Sean will be angry." The four-year-old two-month-old toddler was so eloquent about speaking. Her tiny, curly lips said word for word sounded mature.
"Nobody's evil with Mama, baby. Mom's eyes just glimpsed. Now Sean's not sick anymore, so Sean can go home." Mentari distracts Sean so he no longer asks much questions.
During this one year his son had to routinely control because he had a history of typhoid, but today is the last day Sean controls and Alhamdulillah has been declared cured. During this time also Mentari struggled to meet their needs and also medical costs for his son. Fortunately there are still savings that Mentari has so he can still pay for Sean's treatment.
"What about Aunt Naura, Mah? Sean wants to see you and play again. Are we gonna see Aunt Naura again?"
The mentari sighed. He never knew that Naura was Aditya's younger sister because Aditya had previously said that he had no younger sister or older sister. Only an only child, but after seeing and hearing Naura calling brother made him think that Naura and Aditya sister were older sisters. His charm does not know.
"Darling, horrified mom. For now don't meet them, yeah."
"Why, Mah? Aunt Naura's good." At the age of Sean who is four years old already much want to know every thing. Even his words were eloquent.
The confused mentor must answer what. There's no way she's saying that Aditya is Naura's brother and they're Sean's family.
"Sir, what's wrong?" Bu Sukma who had been watching kept thinking about Mentari. He felt that something was going on between Mentari and Naura.
The mentari sighed. "Let's explain when I'm home, ma'am." And Bu Sukma no longer asked until they arrived at his house.
*****
Homehouse
"Mama wants to talk to grandma first, you rest in the room, baby. Play in the room first, yeah."
"Yes, Mah." The boy ran into the room without asking anything about Naura and anything else.
Mentari sat on the floor with a mat followed by Bu Sukma.
"You want me to make you a drink?" Fatigue and sadness are clearly drawn from the face of Mentari. It makes Bu Sukma very curious, especially suddenly asking to go home without saying much to anyone.
"No need, Mom. I just want to take a break." Mentari leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes.
"Is there a problem?"
"It's pretty complicated, ma'am. Sean's father is here."
"Shan's dad?" Bu Sukma was surprised, because Mentari never wanted to talk about anything about his father Sean. This time, however, the minister spoke.
"Yes, I met him when I wanted to apply for a job at the shoe store and it turned out that Naura was his sister. They were chasing me so I asked mom to bring Sean home immediately." Mentari opened her eyes, then looked at Bu Sukma with a sad look.
"I'm afraid he took Sean from me, Mom. I'm afraid he'll separate me from my son."
"Where could that be? I'm sure that Sean's papa won't take Sean away from you."
"The thing is he doesn't know that Sean's his son. If only I knew, I wouldn't let Sean be with me." Mentari's worries are so big. That is why he immediately went home and contacted Bu Sukma to get out of the hospital room immediately. Mentari is afraid Aditya is looking for Sean there.
"Son, I don't know what your problem is. But the name of a father may not want to separate his son with his mother. Who knows with him knowing the whereabouts of Sean, increasingly able to live together again. If your past is not good, fix it while there is still time. Moreover, the existence of Sean between you can be a bridge between the two of you. Don't let Sean not know his real father. He deserves to know, do you not pity when you see Sean who is always at Katai children his age if he does not have a father? Maybe it's time Sean found out he had a father."
"So Sean has a father? Who, Mah?" sean said without guessing.
Deg.
Mentari turned to Sean, confused what to answer.
"I'm your father."
