When Love is Tassified

When Love is Tassified
Chapter 63 - Advice from Aditya

"Naura!" Azriel woke up from her sleep. "Astaghfiullah!" He rubbed his face roughly. Again he dreamed about Naura leaving him.

"Ustadz, are you okay?" ask one of the teachers in the cabin.

"Yes, I'm fine." His breathing was hunting, he fell asleep in the lecturers' room. But his heart throbbed pain when he remembered the departure of Naura who was taken away by his parents. Whether or not to go back, Azriel did not know. But ever since Naura left her life, she has turned quiet, cold, and never seen a smile again.

Six months later, Azriel loses contact with Naura. He closed his eyes.

"Oh Allah, why does this longing torment me? I still love him very much, if indeed we are paired please meet and our unity, O God. Only you ask, only you surrender. Oh, God, give me a clue to his whereabouts."

"Eh even dumb, fast listening to the bathroom, sightseeing, then fidgeting. It's time to teach the kids who go to Ustadz religious school."

Azriel glanced at his watch. "Astaghfirullah is one o'clock in the afternoon."

Every day Azriel devoted herself to teaching only the children of Diniyah and santri. No longer teaching santriwati because when he teaches like to remember Naura. Memories about Naura were so inherent in his mind. He could not forget the sad moment with Naura.

Naura was pouring out what was in her heart about forgiving people in her past. Even to this day he still cannot forgive his father, and others.

"Son, why is it so hard to forgive someone who has made us sick. I haven't even apologized to Dad. Is my action wrong?" asked Naura who was sitting next to Aditiya. He was thinking about his actions. He knew wrong, but he did it.

"Pardon the mistakes others make against us is difficult, but know that a strong and big-spirited person is capable of doing so. The true winners are those who are able to forgive the mistakes of others. “Pardon is the best victory,” said Prophet Muhammad SAW's friend, Ali Bin Abi Thalib.

As for forgiveness, there is no better example than our Prophet Muhammad SAW. Various inappropriate treatment faced by Prophet Muhammad always received with grace. When the Prophet had the opportunity to retaliate, he instead chose to forgive and embrace those who had hurt him, until finally many of those who were originally hostile to him then became close friends and loyalists. However, after all he was a Prophet, who of course his level of faith and personality are not the same as us ordinary humans.

"Should I forgive someone for doing something wrong and wanting to hurt me? I'm just a human being, brother. My heart is not that strong to forgive their mistakes. I am not the Prophet who always forgives them" Naura replied to Aditya.

"So I know it will be difficult for you to forgive people when that person is so disappointing and hurting us, but you must try sincerely and also be able to forgive every other person's mistakes because by forgiving your heart, you must forgive your heart, your life, your mind, and your health will be much better."

"So I'll tell you a little bit about someone. There is one sweet and interesting story from the real life of our character about forgiveness that the author will tell. In late January, 1964, a 58-year-old man was picked up by 3 policemen and thrown in jail on the orders of the then authorities. The old man was accused of various accusations, which later were not proven at all."

"When in custody, the man is cruelly interrogated like a criminal, he is also referred to as a traitor of the nation. How painful and broken the old man's heart was to be treated in such a way. He shed tears upon hearing such cruel words being confronted with him. But the understanding of faith in his chest made him able to persevere through various trials."

"After serving a prison sentence of more than 2 years with bear and various pains in his body. He was released and returned to normal life. And you know who that old man is?" aditya asked Naura.

Naura shook her head, "no Aunt, who is she?"

"The old man was Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, or who we know as Buya Hamka. His story during his time in prison was written by Buya Hamka in his book Modern Sufism, and another story was written by his son Irfan Hamka in the book entitled Father, Tales of Buya Hamka. How sweet is the forgiving story of Buya Hamka that remains remembered history until now."

"There was not a single bit of revenge in his heart. The sincerity and forgiving nature of Hamka turned out to bring invaluable blessings. During his imprisonment, he successfully completed the interpretation of Al-Azhar which was later recognized and became one of the references in the Islamic world. Hamka's writings are still enjoyed today. His name is remembered well until now even to neighboring Malaysia."

"Hamka became an example that forgiveness eventually won him over and perfected his name later on even after he was gone. His sincerity and forgiving nature should be exemplary."

“Those who cannot forgive others, destroy the bridges they will cross. Hamka has proven that he forgives and knits bridges to pass through until he gets to the end of the road quietly. He breezed to the end of life without carrying a burden in his soul."

"In addition, God is very forgiving, so we as his people must also forgive every human who sins against us. Punishment issue let Allah punish him with a fair trial. Because of something we sow, that's what we'll reap. Your duty as a human being and a good Muslimah only needs to be a figure who is able to walk according to the teachings of Allah and our lord prophet Muhammad Saw. It may be easy to forgive, but to forget is quite difficult because even though many years will always be remembered. However, you must be able to come to terms with a painful past for a much better future and a happy version of yourself."

"Are you going to stay like this forever? What if they leave and you haven't forgiven? You will regret it yourself. Repair mistakes that have occurred, expand the apology for them, and open your sheet. I believe you can."

Naura fell silent. "Dad, Grandma Fatimah, Azriel. I have to forgive them."
