Clinics

Namira works at an international clinic. His salary is quite large compared to his peers. Working with handsome doctors is also a plus to working in the clinic. Not only that, patients with good looks often come and go. His life had prospered especially since his work was not eight hours but only six hours. This allowed Namira to practice in two places. A time full of comfort. Even his parents were proud of the income earned by Namira.

"Good morning doctor Andra!" Namira gave his regards. This morning he was on duty with Dr. Andra. He is the owner of this international clinic.

"For Namira. Let's hope the patient this time is not too draining." Speaks kindly. Namira replied with a smile. Sometimes her duties at this clinic include nurse duties. Starting from sewing wounds, sterilizing tools, visiting the hotel where patients stay, and much more. This happens because each shift is only filled by two to three people. The odds are one doctor with one nurse, one doctor with one midwife, or one doctor with a nurse and a pharmacist.

"Today is once again lonely." Doctor Andra.

"Yes doc. Since tourists know the direction to the nearest puskesmas or international hospitals with more complete equipment, they choose there." Reply Namira.

"It's okay." Doctor Andra replied in a lethargic manner.

He was about three years older than Namira. With passion and thoroughness he dared to open an international clinic since two years ago. Standing in the middle of the tourist center, the environment around the clinic is never quiet. Doctor Andra is a very simple man, although he is very rich.

It is different with Dr. Dimas. She is two years older than Namira. Famous for his intelligence and his theory, many colleagues are less comfortable when keeping watch with him. That was not a problem for Namira as he was able to compensate for the doctor's theoretical attitude.

"Doctor, this is a patient complaint named Miss Jade. He's got food poisoning." Namira explained after in the front room he made basic observations to the German patient.

"Alright, let me check it."

He told Namira to give antibiotics.

"Do you need to be given antibiotics? Let me call the pharmacist." Denial Namira.

"In the book it says so. Is something wrong? Can't it be given? Are there enough diarrhea-stopping medications?" the question is endless while allowing the location of the glasses.

Namira sighed seeing the implied hesitation in this one doctor. The debate was concluded after contacting the pharmacist and searching for other literature.

Namira puts a little taste in doctor Dimas because of his cool appearance. He knows how to look attractive. Moreover, all the luxury items used are the result of his hard work. Yeah, at least that's what Namira knows. The man was on guard at many international clinics and hospitals. His English skills are excellent. He also teaches private lessons to high school students who want to continue to study medicine.

Dear thousand dear, on another occasion, a woman came to the clinic and made a noise.

"I don't want to break up! We are engaged! Remember that! I've paid dearly for all the time we've been through!"

"You're childish! Get out of here and don't make a troublemaker!" Shouted doctor Dimas. Namira and Antari who accompanied the doctor Dimas on the night vigil automatically became shocked.

"Not until you drop the broken words. I'll kill myself here! I've tried to be smarter than you! My dissertation is soon finished. I'm S3 at 24!" Said the girl while shouting.

Namira and Antari looked at each other as if in their hearts saying that they were the same age as them.

"Let's get out!" Get Dr. Dimas.

A few minutes later, Dimas' doctor appeared alone.

"Sorry to make a fuss. He was like that. I have to be firm." Her speech.

"Are you really Doc's fiancee?" ask Antari.

Both Namira and Antari looked at each other. This at once signifies that Namira must ditch her hope.

The days at the clinic are getting dreary. Not much activity to do.

"I think your salary should be paid in the middle of the month. I'm sorry. The clinic is unstable. I hope the Siantar branch clinic can cover the deficit in this clinic." Said Dr. Andra in the middle of a shift change.

Antari and Doctor Rosa stared at each other as if they knew this was going to happen. It seems like in the previous shift they talked to each other about the condition of the clinic.

"I'll stay here because it's so comfortable here." Tell doctor Rosa. Indeed, for the doctors the condition of patients who make them a little rest. Those who generally have worked in government hospitals will be drained of more energy, especially their salaries are not much. The number of patients in the hospital is equivalent to the lack of patients in this clinic.

It's been three months, Namira feels so cramped. His mother, who knew the condition of the clinic, told him to move immediately. But Namira still survives.

"I'm sorry. The clinic contract cannot be extended. For those of you who still want to work with me, I will call you to the Siantar branch." That's the message from Dr. Andra. Indeed, the cost of the contract place in this tourist center is very expensive. But if calculated travel time up to the cost of transportation from Namira home to the Siantar branch clinic which takes almost an hour, Namira felt will not be able to. Especially if you get a night shift or have to go home in the middle of the night.

With a heavy heart he decided to retreat. The clinic was officially closed. Now Namira becomes a person who is hanging indistinctly. A foundation offered itself to teach there. But his salary is far from decent.

"Ma, if I work at the foundation part-time what? the main job I'll be looking for soon." He confided to his mother.

"Working in a uniform or something neat. Mama's tired of seeing you work like a fool. Neighbors think you're not working. Or just move in the bank." Said mother.

Namira became upset. But the closest he had to live was teaching at the foundation.

The foundation is small but has many students. As a non-formal institution, the foundation has several classes starting from late afternoon to evening. Each session contains three classes. Namira took the afternoon session and when he was about to finish teaching, the evening teacher had arrived. This person is none other than Rido.

"Is this really Namira?" tanyakanya.

"Eh you're Rido huh? Oh my goodness, how are you?" Namira asked back.

"Well, it's been a long time! I'm good! You how? Why are you here?" Dodo is back to hunting down the question.

"Yes, I'm teaching." Namira answered with a smile.

"Don't you work at the clinic?"

"Bankrut Do!" Namira says while mesam mesem.

"Join the night! There's Ria too." Continue Rido.

"Gee.my childhood friends are gathered here." Namira.

"But the part that teachers lack is the afternoon Do." Namira.

"It's okay. Later one night teacher can move to the afternoon. Can be arranged." Reply Rido with his sweet smile.
