~Fright In The Middle of Malam~
The bedroom filled by Zhel alone looked so dark, Zhel still opened his eyes with his arms folded behind his head. He was lying on a bed thinking about a strange mutation from Slime, before he had seen Slime in the forest where he lived. But the Slime he met in the forest only ate the carcasses of monsters and animals, so he was still curious about Slime who had a fixed body and toxic it.
“Slime? Although it is quite easy to defeat it just by destroying the Core, but the problem has individual intelligence... Moreover, magic does not work, the only way is only with weapons... But intelligence yes..”
Thinking of Slime's intelligence earlier, Zhel got up from his bed and covered his mouth like he had discovered something extraordinary.
- Wait?! Intelligence?! How 'bout?! Ah!!
Zhel immediately got out of bed, thinking about something that he did not want to happen.
After exiting his room, he questioned the Village Chief who was still awake in the living room. Zhel asked where Helen was at the moment, after finding out that Zhel had rushed to Helen's place.
Zhel arrived at a building like a warehouse large enough, when Zhel opened it he saw Helen who was still awake while concocting materials to be used as anti-poison drugs.
“Helen what is it?” zhel asked from behind Helen.
“Ah Zhel's... This is an anti-poison drug, although it is not good but I think this is enough to be an antidote while” replied Helen anxiously.
“So you mean the medicine is still not enough?”
“Yes that... I only brought a few raw materials, so I couldn't make a good antidote... If this continues inevitably they have to buy drugs in the nearest city”
“Then the condition Kon?”
“No problem... The medicine he took was good, because I bought it before leaving”
“Thank God” said Zhel as he breathed a sigh of relief.
“There's what Zhel... You seem worried about something else?” helen asked with a face full of curiosity.
“True also”
Zhel immediately took Helen to a place a little far away so that it could not be heard by other residents, he explained the reason for his anxiety. They spoke for quite a while, Helen listened to Zhel seriously.
“So you mean?”
“Yes... I'm going to check out that former lab tonight”
Hearing that Helen simply nodded in agreement with an anxious face.
“Is it okay that you go alone?”
“Yes... But if my theory is correct, then we must evacuate citizen”
“Slime with intelligence huh?” said Helen who pinched her chin.
“It's still just a theory, but if it's true then..” Zhel stopped with an anxious face, he continued “Even I can lose”
That night the moonlight looked very beautiful, but not a single Quet villager saw it.
~Act 5 Pagi~
Kon opened his eyes, and what he found was a room that was quite comfortable. He rose from his sleep and held his head in pain, the poison from Slime before him was still slightly felt.
“Ugh... Where's this?” kon said as he looked around the room.
From the entrance appeared a woman who had wavy brown hair with a face that was so friendly.
“Master Adventurer? You are aware?” ask the woman.
“Petualang? Ah yes I am fine... Then where are my friends?”
“One of your friends is helping out in the place of a citizen who was exposed to the poison... But your other friend went somewhere last night” said the woman with a curious face as well.
“Go?! Wh who? Zhel or Helen?”
“Zhel? Ah who is helping the citizens is lady”
“Helen yes? Then where is he?”
“She is in the former warehouse building at the end of the village”
Kon got up from the bed and put on his robe again, he immediately ran to reach Helen's place after thanking the woman.
Kon looked for the place where the woman meant and finally he arrived at the place in question, after opening the door of the building he saw Helen who was concocting medicine.
“Helen where is Zhel?!” ask Kon in a hurry.
“You are aware
?”
“It doesn't matter, where is Zhel?”
“Sit down first I will explain it” Helen said in an anxious tone.
Kon who saw Helen's face just according and sat on a chair that was in a place a little far away, before long Helen approached Kon who had been waiting.
“Kon heard I” Helen sat down, then continued “At the moment Zhel is confirming something, so you don't act rash”
“Sure what?”
“Zhel think that Slime before can be very dangerous”
“What do you mean?”
“You've seen before, right? Slime which has a shape?”
“Ya”
“Zhel assumed the Slime had intelligence”
“Slime with intelligence?!”
“Sstt! Listen first” Helen again looked around “Assumption Zhel said if true what he feared, then Zhel himself was not sure can handle it”
Hearing that Kon was surprised, Kon thought Zhel's ability was extraordinary. But hearing Zhel himself say he was unable to make Kon so surprised.
“What do you mean? You know Zhel's power, don't you?”
“Yes I know... But try listening to this... Not magical, Toxic, has intelligence, and also.... Flocking”
“Group?”
“Zhel felt a bit strange with Slime before, why was Slime before him just alone? Zhel heard from the Village Chief that there is a laboratory where Slime research this mutation, but why only 1 appeared? Isn't it weird?”
“Hmm is right too... The research place can not only be 1 creature... Eh?! What possible?!”
“True... Zhel thought that the Slime mutation was breeding or something like”
Hearing that Kon finally understood why Zhel himself was unsure of how to handle it, the dangerous poisonous body, the powerless Monster attacked with magic, the, and the most dangerous is his Intelligence if such a creature there are many might be able to pose a threat to all beings.
“So yes... It's worth Zhel being so anxious, I'm also not sure Zhel can handle it” Kon said as she pinched her chin.
When they were seriously talking, someone opened the door of the place loudly. At the door appeared someone they knew, but his entire body was filled with a purple liquid that almost covered his entire body.
“Zhel?!” 2x
Kon and Helen approached Zhel who had fallen to her knees.
“Do not approach!”
Hearing that, Kon and Helen stopped with anxious faces.
“My body is filled with poison... Evacuate the people immediately.... Otherwise.” Zhel looked at Kon and Helen with eyes that almost lost consciousness “We will all die”
Kon and Helen were shocked, they did not understand why Zhel had become so emotional. But Zhel's eyes showed great fear, after which Zhel fell on the spot.
“Kon collect citizens!” helen said in a worried tone.
“Good!”
Kon went straight to some residents and invited them to help Zhel who was lying on the floor, after Zhel's body was cleaned they put Zhel in the room. Helen had given her the medicine she had made before, but Helen herself was not sure if it was enough because the raw materials to make the antidote were less complete and also at this time Zhel's condition was more terrible than Kon before.
“Helen how is it?”
“Not good... His body is so weak at the moment, I am also not sure the medicine can work because the material is still less”
“Sial”
Kon hit the wall hard, he felt annoyed because he was not so useful.
“Why is he so reckless anyway? even though he himself told me ahar did not act rashly" said Kon while holding back his regret.
Kon was annoyed that he felt Zhel became big-headed after gaining that extraordinary ability.
They entered the room Zhel occupied, inside which Zhel was still lying with a face full of pain.
Helen and Kon approached Zhel who was sleeping on her bed.
"I'm going to try something" Helen said.
"What?"
"I'll create new magic again"
"New magic again yes" said Kon with a troubled face.
Kon was anxious because when Helen created a new magic, then Helen's Mana was drained and after that Helen would lie down for a few days.
"What kind of magic are you going to make?" ask Kon.
"For now I will create a magic that can see the condition of Zhel's body in detail" said Helen who then pulled out a book from Storage.
The book reads "The Structure of the Human Body". When Helen wanted to create magic, she had to know how it worked. Like how lightning is formed and how rainbows are formed, Helen had to understand to the extent possible. Since Helen wanted to create a magic that could know the condition of the body, then she had to understand how the human body works and what the structure of the human body is as detailed as possible.
"Kon go... Help people to evacuate" said Helen.
"Good"
Kon left the room feeling guilty, he felt that way because he had to give a big responsibility to his fiancee. he felt useless as a man, he felt useless as a man, but he himself also realized that there was nothing he could do to help Zhel.
"Sial" Kon said as he walked through the hallway.
