Under the Hugs of the Colonial Army

Under the Hugs of the Colonial Army
Samsara

Samsara is a never-ending cycle of misery. Life is a misery that will continue to roll until it stops at one point, the release of the soul. Surviving or rebelling from samsara is equally painful.

Two men of different positions, one a haughty but occupying seat raised one leg. The other was dressed in a wedana sitting firmly staring at the person before him.

" Mister General what's your problem with the Servant's daughter?" asked Raden Sugeng, but the sound of loud laughter filled the room.

"Your daughter stole my daughter's!" the general said with emotion.

" He never took anything that wasn't his! said Raden Sugeng astonished.

" You don't know your daughter!" replied General sharply.

" Of course your daughter would've stolen hers first, if my daughter had done so." Raden Sugeng.

" What an abomination did to my son! your daughter is destroying her soul, body and property. Shouldn't he be responsible? I'm waiting for you to hand over your own daughter!" said Raden Sugeng with emotion.

Raden Sugeng ran away from the house, but not for long. DOR'S! the sound of bullets shooting from the gun muzzle struck the soul of the justice-lover.

A woman in modest kebaya clothes and her hair was carried out walking with a man dressed in pangsi. They walked through the forest looking for a way out to the village. The man dressed in pangsi then stopped his steps.

" Sri, I just got here with you. You can continue the journey yourself!" said Kang Danu.

"thank you Kang Danu for helping Sri" said Sri Utami bowed.

" Sri, strength and martial arts are not for revenge, use power and martial skills when you are oppressed or helping people!" said Kang Danu advised Sri Utami who was replied with a nod

Sri also walked away from Kang Dianu, not long after Kang Danu called her, making Sri's steps stop and turned her head.

"Sri!"

"Yes, kang"

Kang Danu silently looked at Sri Utami. Then a smile was thrown at him, Sri Utami replied with a smile, then went to continue her footsteps along the path to the village.

Sri Utami showed her face after two days of hiding. A man was herding his buffalo to see Sri Utami was immediately unconscious in the fields. Sri Utami was astonished, but continued on his way, but everyone in the morning saw Sri Utami running around the kampit compound and entering his house. Sri utami sighed.

Sri Utami walked down the highway watching the person who visited her, her steps stopped at a lake, her eyes watching a pair of Dutch people who were mixing love. The shadow of the first meeting with the young man who was now in front of him appeared, the lake where it was written on the young man's hand. His heart feels tight.

If I have never loved you, should not be in love with the invaders of this land, I have wounded myself and my people, the inner Sri Utami.

Sri Utami continued his journey, until he arrived at a house that had been mobbed by many people. He immediately entered the house. All eyes looked towards Sri Utami, some fell unconscious, but Sri. Utami noticed only two bodies behind the cloth. He slowly opened the covering cloth, his tears had flowed, he undone without a sound. Turning to the body beside him, his eyes grew increasingly stronger until he fell unconscious.

The funeral has been carried out without the presence of Sri Utami still unconscious. Sri Utami woke up from the bed staring at the photo before her back crying and then fell afraid of waking up again. Always being so for a week made Nyai Dasimah worried. He decided to take Sri Utami for a walk to enjoy the morning air.

The rays of happiness had dimmed in Sri Utami's eyes. Losing someone you love is a long pain. Thorny. Dasimah stroked her bare hair and a red rose tucked in her bun. Sri Utami was still staring blankly at the ripening of the sprawling rice fields, watching the rice field workers plowing their fields, as the wind blew, a young Dutchman approached.

"Hoe gaat het?" ask Vander Plass.

Nyai Dasimah resigned to give Sri Utami space with Vander Plass to speak. Blowing wind hit Sri Utami's face, he closed his eyes enjoying. Vander Plass smiled as he followed Sri Utami shut his eyes with his hands crossed in his chest.

"Isn't there a lot of time that I've missed in vain?" sri Utami.

"Why see me?" ask Sri Utami.

"Van Berg wants to see you" said Vander Plass.

" For what??" ask Sri Utami.

"I'm just delivering the message" said Vander Plas.

"Go, I don't want to deal with him!" sri Utami.

"Then accept my heart!!" vander Plass and Sri Utami cast aside their views.

"I won't marry until your country leaves my country!" sri Utami said making Vander Plass occupied.

Sri Utami stared at the three mounds of red earth, said a prayer, then went out from the cemetery. On the other hand, someone noticed it. Sri Utami walked towards the office of his organization. The young man followed him. But only to the gate. Sri Utami began to carry out his daily life, he was busy training women to embroider.

By late afternoon, Sri Utami closed the office door. A young man stood behind him, Sri turned and looked at the young man, walking past him. His hand was grabbed, Sri stopped by his footsteps

"Sri, do you hate me?" van Berg said.

"Why don't you stop seeing me?" sri Utami asked not to look at Van Berg.

"I can't!" van Berg said.

"Let's not see each other!" sri Utami released her hand from Van Berg's grip.

Falling in love is a part of being miserable that cannot be stopped. Stopping it means stopping life. It is Love that kills every soul that tries to hold it tight. Love always needs sacrifice, if Ken Arok just redeemed cintanyqa with blood from the keris curse, then Sri Utami has redeemed his love with the blood of his people.

The full moon decorated the sky that night, the observant-eyed girl with her bun stared at the moon, there was longing, voidness, and fragility pervading her soul. He did not enjoy the beauty of nature.

" Rahman, how was your meeting in gerindo?" ask Sri Utami.

" The rejection of the Soetardjo petition, made us angry!" Rahman.

"Just to give a rejection must wait a year." ujaar Sri Utami.

" they have no intention of leaving this country!" Rahman.

"When will it be like this?" sri Utami.

"Until they get tired of our resistance!" rahman smiled at Sri Utami.

Sri Utami looked at Rahman, who was very strict, he was a religious young man and also very anti-colonialist. The smile of the young man before him was quite capable of breaking the heart of the woman who saw him, Rahmaan did not smile cheaply at women. But for a woman of Sri Utami's class enough to tear his soul, making him unable to control himself.

"Sri," said Rahman staring at Sri Utami who looked at him.

" Hmm," Sri Utami replied with a smile.
