Entrapped

Sri Utami was lying on the white bed, her hands on the drip. The sound of birds chirping woke him up. slowly his eyes opened to observe his surroundings, he did not know the place. Van Berg glanced at Madelief and returned his embrace then turned a smile. Sri Utami looked at him more and more sliced her heart.

" Go Sri! Live well with the man who loves you! and you must fight for your country! after all we have a different direction of struggle" said Van Berg without seeing Sri Utami.

" The Van Berg!" said Sri.

Sri Utami's eyes were already hot to see Van Berg embracing Madeleief. He walked out of the house with a hollow heart, his tears dripping with his footsteps. His heart was too sore to be decided in a very painful manner. His head once again looked into the house, he caught Van Berg's eye watching him but was then turned away. Sri Utami walked back out of the gate of the army house.
