The room had been crowded by local people and some Dutch soldiers. The judge sat down and read out his case. Sri Utami was sitting near bi Iyem who was accompanied by a doctor. A defendant was seated before a judge.

"Please the defendant give his defense!" said Judge.

The judge asked Sri Utami to calm down. The doctor again gave a rebuttal to the statement of the army lawyer.

" It can't be that way, lawyer! what about the bruises on his hands and feet, doesn't that prove there's enough coercion from those soldiers?" ask doctor.

" Why did the woman voluntarily come to the army barracks?" ask the army lawyer. Doktee.

Judge knocks on his hammer , trial postponed first to rest. Everyone got up with a grouse leaving the room.

A local youth entered the room and walked in front of the judge then sat down. All eyes caught the man.

A hard slap landed on the young man's cheek. The young man's face was not angry, he silently looked at bi Iyem coldly. Bi Iyem was immediately taken out of the courtroom. While in the courtroom the young man continued his testimony, Sri Utami still attended the trial.

" How often do you engage in b*d*n-related activities with the victim?" ask lawyers.

" Frequently enough! every Sunday night we meet until morning." replied the young man.

Sri Utami clenched her hands hard, her cynical smile emanated, she wanted to smash into the young man's face. Sri Utami stood up from her chair.

" I'll testify after the judge!" answer Sri Utami.

" Please Miss Sri Utami!" answer Judge.

Now Sri Utami was sitting in the hot seat, he did not realize Van Berg and Vander Plass had been sitting in the audience seat.
