56. At Ricky's house

While at Ricky's house, Maira only sticks to Ricky and Hanifa. He did not want to be carried by his grandparents. At eleven o'clock in the afternoon Maira started fussing about asking for milk. Hanifa made milk for Maira and Maira drank milk while held by Hanifa. Maira falls asleep on Hanifa's lap.

“Sleep?” ask Juwita's mother to Hanifa.

“iya,” Hanifa replied.

“Just sleep in Ricky's room,” says Ms. Juwita.

“Come here,” says Ibu Juwita.

Hanifa held Maira and followed Juwita's mother. Juwita's mother took Hanifa upstairs. Arriving upstairs, Ms. Juwita opened one of the rooms. From inside the room smelled the perfume Ricky used to wear. Juwita and Hanifa's mother went into Ricky's room. Juwita's mother immediately turned on the air conditioner. Hanifa put Maira to sleep on the bed. Hanifa blocked Maira's right and left sides by using pillows and bolsters and enveloping her.

Juwita's mother noticed the way Hanifa treated Maira. He remembers when Ricky told Hanifa.

“Hanifa sixth semester student. He was on leave of college due to the cost. His father, an ASN, died two months ago. Hanifa has two younger siblings who are in High School and Junior High School. To add to his father's pension, his mother made a cake and entrusted it to stalls.”

Poor girl, Juwita's mother said in her heart.

“Bu, if Maira wakes up how?” ask Hanifa to Juwita's mother.

Hanifa was afraid that if Maira woke up not a single person heard her crying voice.

“Later the door is closed not too close. So that Maira can still open the door,” said Ibu Juwita.

Juwita and Hanifa's mother came out of Ricky's room. Ricky's room door was closed not tightly. They're going downstairs. In the dining room Mpok Anah was preparing food for lunch.

Juwita's mother approached Agus and Ricky who were busy watching a boxing match.

“Papah – Ricky, lunch is ready,” said Ms. Juwita.

“Later, Mah. If you already pray dzuhur,” replied Mr. Agus.

Agus continued to watch boxing.

“Hanifa, you eat first!” said Ricky.

“Let's go, Sir. If you already pray dzuhur,” replied Hanifa.

“Ya already, if you want to pray dzuhur first,” said Ibu Juwita. Juwita's mother covered the food with a serving hood.

Soon after the sound of the dzuhur adhan began to roar.

“Ki, let's go to the mosque,” take Pak Agus.

Mr. Agus turned off the television. They are getting ready for the mosque. After Ricky and Pak Agus left, Hanifa also prayed dzuhur.

“Bu, I was praying,” Hanifa told Ibu Juwita.

“Oh, pray in Ricky's room only. The bathroom is near Ricky's room,” replied Ms. Juwita.

Hanifa took her face and went upstairs. After ablution Hanifa went into Ricky's room. He saw Maira sleeping well. The baby looks adorable while sleeping. Hanifa fixed Maira's blanket that was starting to unfold. After that, Hanifa prayed.

Finish Hanifa down back downstairs. The atmosphere of the house looks lonely. Juwita's mother was in the room, Mpok Anah was ironing in the back. Hanifa sat in the living room while waiting for Ricky to come..

Shortly after, Mr. Agus and Ricky came from the mosque.

“Assalamualaikum,” said Mr. Agus when he entered the home page.

“Waalaikumsalam,” Hanifa replied.

“Kok quiet? Where's mommy?” ask Mr. Agus to Hanifa.

“Mother is in the room,” replied Hanifa.

“You've eaten, not yet?” ask Ricky.

“Not yet, Sir,” replied Hanifa.

“Let's eat first,” take Ricky.

Ricky heads to the dining room, Hanifa follows Ricky from behind. Soon after, Juwita's mother came out of the room.

“Mah, Papah hungry,” said Mr. Agus.

“The food is ready from earlier,” said Ibu Juwita.

Juwita's mother opened the veil covering the food.

“Come Hanifa, eat first!” mother Said Juwita.

“Iya, Ma'am,” Hanifa replied.

Hanifa eats with Ricky and Ricky's parents. After eating, Hanifa washed the dishes.

“Just put it there. Later Mpok Anah who washes dishes,” said Ibu Juwita.

“It's okay, Mom. Just a little bit of dishwashing,” Hanifa said.

When Hanifa was doing the dishes suddenly Ricky came while holding Maira.

“Fa, Maira wants to pee,” said Ricky.

Hanifa looked to the side.

“Wait a minute, yes. One more plate responsibility,” said Hanifa.

Ricky waited in the kitchen until Hanifa finished washing the dishes. After washing the dishes, Hanifa took Maira from Ricky's sling and took her to the bathroom. Finished peeing Hanifa brought Maira to the living room.

“Maira eat first, yes!” mother Said Juwita.

“Maira to be fed to whom? Grandma or sister?” ask Juwita's mother.

“You take food for Maira,” said Ms. Juwita.

“Good, Mom,” Hanifa replied.

Hanifa takes food for Maira, then feeds Maira on the porch of the house. Suddenly, hesti comes to Ricky's house.

“Assalamualaikum,” says Hesti.

“Waalaikumsalam,” Hanifa replied.

Hanifa approached the gate.

“Bang Ricky there?” ask Hesti.

“Wait a minute. I call first,” said Hanifa.

Hanifa went inside the house. But Ricky was not seen in the living room.

“Bu, someone is looking for Mr. Ricky,” said Hanifa.

“Ricky is in the room,” replied Ms. Juwita.

“Who's looking for Ricky?” ask Juwita's mother.

“Female, Mom. But not asked his name,” replied Hanifa.

“Say, Ricky is sleeping,” said Ms. Juwita.

“Good, Mom,” Hanifa back to home front.

“Mbak, Mr. Ricky is sleeping,” Hanifa said to Nesti.

“Ya already, drop the cake for Bang Ricky. Say from Hesti,” said Hesti.

Hanifa picked up the cake that was given by Nesti.

“Greetings to Bang Ricky,” says Hesti.

“Good, Ma'am. Later I say,” said Hanifa.

Then hesti leaves Ricky's house. Seeing Hanifa bring the cake Maira directly approached Hanifa.

“What, tuh?” ask Maira.

“It's cake for dad,” Hanifa replied.

“Mala au uweh,” says Maira.

“Later yes, now Maira eat first,” said Hanifa.

Hanifa brought the cake inside, Maira followed Hanifa from behind.

“Bu, this is a cake for Mr. Ricky from Mbak Hesti,” Hanifa said.

“Mala au uweh,” Maira told Ibu Juwita.

“Do not! It's a good cake. The cake is poisonous,” said Ibu Juwita.

“Lacun? What is lacun?” ask Maira.

“Dangerous meals. Later Maira can get sick if you eat it,” said Ms. Juwita.

“Mala nga au cacit,” Maira said as she shook her head.

“Maira eats again with sister, yes,” says Ibu Juwita.

Hanifa was feeding Maira.

“Eat it while sitting, yes,” says Hanifa.

Hanifa brought Maira back to the terrace of the house. Maira continued eating while sitting on the terrace.

After the Ashar prayer Ricky took Maira home.

“Tok your plans where you going?” ask Juwita's mom when Ricky's about to leave.

“Not know where to go,” replied Ricky.

“How about tomorrow we have a picnic,” said Ibu Juwita.

“Picny where?” ask Ricky.

“Picnic to zoo or to mini park or to Ancol. It's up to you where you want,” replied Ibu Juwita.

“Ya already, tomorrow we have a picnic,” Ricky said.

“Ricky between Maira and Hanifa go home,” say goodbye Ricky.

“Maira, greetings first with grandma,” said Ricky.

Maira kisses the back of Juwita's mother's hand.

“Muah.”

“Granny's granddaughter's minister,” Praise Mother Juwita while rubbing Maira's head.

Hanifa also kissed Juwita's mother's hand.

“Greetings to your mother. Say the cake is good,” said Ibu Juwita.

“Good, Mom. I will tell you,” replied Hanifa.

Maira and Hanifa kissed Mr. Agus' hand.

“Assalamualikum,” says Hanifa.

“Waalaikumsalam,” Pak Agus and Ibu Juwita replied.

When he was about to get out, Ricky met up with Handi.

“Where are you, Bang?” ask Handi.

“Mau anterin Maira home,” Ricky replied.

Handi sees Maira walking with Hanifa.

“That's Maira, Bang?” ask Handi while pointing to Maira.

“Iya,” Ricky replied.

“That's funny. Greetings dong same Om,” said Handi while extending his hand.

Maira kissed the back of Handi's hand.

“Muah.”

“Who's this, Bang?” ask Handi.

“That's Hanifa. Nanny Maira,” replied Ricky.

“Abang pinter find a beautiful babysitter,” chirps Handi.

“Hush!” exciting Ricky.

“Include me Handi, her sister Ricky,” said Handi as she reached out and asked to shake hands.

But Hanifa did not return Handi's greeting, she simply clenched her palms in front of her chest.

“It was late afternoon, Brother wanted to take Maira and Hanifa,” Ricky said.

“Yes, how quickly to go home,” said Handi disappointedly.

“Maira and Hanifa are coming from morning,” Ricky said.

“Abang did not say that Maira would come here. Tau so Handi is not going anywhere,” said Handi.

“The name is also a surprise. Maira's here again tomorrow anyway. Take a picnic,” said Ricky.
