The reason Bai Feng gave four bracelets that weighed a total of 1000kg to Bai Yuan was because when cultivators were at the peak of Body Formation, if they took out all their strength they could lift a weight of 1000kg. After Body Formation their bodies would not grow stronger anymore as they would use Qi to fight not using physical strength anymore.
But there were some people who were cultivating by training his physical strength. They are known as Body Cultivators. They could defeat other cultivators just using their physical strength alone without using any Qi at all.
Bai Feng trained Bai Yuan with a ballast bracelet to make his body stronger because when physical strength was combined with Qi he could fight enemies who were at a higher level than him.
Bai Feng had a body strength as strong as 3000kg when he was at the peak of Body Formation, three times stronger than other cultivators. So he made his ballast bracelet much heavier than Bai Yuan's.
"Let's go to the pagoda now" Bai Feng said.
The two of them then walked towards the village gate with ballast bracelets on their bodies.

Bai Feng took an hour to complete two hundred Push Up times and directly continued Sit Up without stopping in the slightest.
