Will Not Be Surrender

"Richard, what's wrong with you, son?" asked her mother-in-law just got there.

"Manda, Ma...."

"Manda why?" amel began to worry.

"No pa-pa Auntie, the doctor again check him in the dalem," said Donald first. He did not want to make the two people equally frightened by it.

"Why Auntie's son, Nal?"

"No pa-pa, Tan. Take it easy, doctor again in dalem. I told Richard to calm down, but he didn't want to cry like this here."

Richard was still sitting on the floor crying, some of the people who passed by there were looking at him with pity. The man looked messy with puffy and red eyes, from crying since earlier.

Amel nodded, coding Donald to retreat away from Richard. The woman held onto the shoulder of her son-in-law staring at Richard's deep light brown bead of eyes.

"You need to calm down, Chad. Amanda needs you now. If you are weak, your wife can be weak in there. He can see how you feel!" said the middle-aged woman giving confidence to her son-in-law.

Although he himself was afraid of the bad news that could come at any time, but Amel wanted Richard could be more robust again.

She believes that if her daughter is strong, Amanda is struggling in there. Amel wants Richard to keep praying for him from out here.

"Wake, Chad. You must be strong for Amanda!"

The man nodded and stood with his mother-in-law. What Amel said is true, he must not be weak. Amanda is struggling on her own right now, all she can do right now is pray for her wife.

Begging the Living One to provide opportunity and healing for his Amanda.

Richard rubbed his face and exhaled a long breath, he tried hard and calm with Amel who was smiling relieved to see him.

The daughter-in-law and mother-in-law held hands together, as if strengthening each other.

Donald smiled to see his best friend was calmer now, he was sure that Richard must be strong through this ordeal.

The sound of the ICU room door being opened distracts the three. Dr. Brian came out with another female doctor.

"How's my wife doing, Doc?" Richard advanced towards them with his worried face.

"Amanda's mother's condition is stabilizing now, sir. Father and Mother do not need to worry, the heartbeat of the Father's wife had weakened earlier. We tried our best to save his life, Amanda's mother still had the spirit to live" Dr. Brian said at length.

Faces of relief instantly emanated from the three people, followed by the same thanksgiving coming out of their mouths.

"Thank you, Doc. Thank you very much...." Richard held the hand of the man wearing a white robe in front of him happily.

"Together, Mr. Richard. It's our job to work on patient safety."

Richard nodded, grateful that the woman could still be saved.

"We will see the development of the condition of the Father's wife in the next few days. Hopefully things will get better, and Amanda's mom can wake up from her coma soon."

Dr. Brian and one female doctor who accompanied him earlier in the ICU room passed leaving the three people.

Richard was able to breathe a little relieved that Amanda was still with him, despite being in a coma unconscious.

The man decided to go into the ICU room, meet his wife after a nightmare that hit him earlier.

"I'm gonna go see Amanda, Ma." Amel nodded in understanding.

"Nal, put my in-laws on." Richard looked at his best friend.

"OK."

The man with his eyes entered the ICU room and changed his clothes with sterile clothes.

Richard pulled up a chair, sat down next to the woman who was about to leave him for good.

"I just want you to promise one thing to me .. You, you'll never give up and leave me again. I will always be here for you, I will wait for you until you are ready to open your eyes again. I will not give up on our love Beby, I will not be tired of waiting and will always pray for your recovery." Richard kissed the back of Amanda's hand as well as her forehead. Tears were seeping out of his two eyes.

He had promised to wait for his Amandanya, waiting until the happy day full of laughter came back to their lives. Richard is convinced that Amanda will recover and be able to wake up from a coma.

"Gue first yeah, Chad. Sorry I can't be long, bokap Lo have called me earlier." Donal approached her best friend who had just entered the VVIP treatment room.

"Yes, thank you, Nal."

"Thank you what, anyway? My best friend, don't talk about it all! Amused to know I do not hear it," joked Donald want to entertain the man in front of him.

Richard only smiled faintly in response to his best friend's joke.

"Judah I'm gone, dad. Aunty Amel went to the cafeteria, said she wanted to buy you breakfast."

"Yes, watch out Lo."

Donald nodded out of there. Before deciding to go to the coal company where he had been working, the man with a sharp nose took the time to visit the Rose in his different room one hallway with the VVIP room earlier.

Donald peeked behind the glass of the Rose treatment room door to make sure there was anyone inside. It turned out that the woman had just regained consciousness and was being examined by Dr. Brian.

There was a middle-aged woman standing beside the bed of Roses, crying out for relief. Looks like Roses are fine, Donal thought.

He came in after Dr. Brian came out of there.

"Hi, War.." said Donald to the woman wearing the cervical collar or neck brace.

"Hello Auntie," greet him again.

"Who is this, War?" ask the woman to her son.

"Secretary Mr. Richard, Mother."

The woman nodded and smiled leaving the two inside the Rose treatment room.

"Gue twinkles Lo well, War," said Donald opened his voice.

"Thank you, Nal." The woman in white still looks pale, but better than Amanda's current condition.

"What are you doing, Nal?"

"Lo focus on healing first, War. Don't think about anything else," said Donald did not want to tell Amanda the real situation.

"But, Amanda's not pa-pa, is she?"

Donald just nodded not wanting to make a sound. Maybe it would be better for Rose to know after she recovers, he thought.
