Throw Your Ex In His Place !
Ep. 93

Everyone who was at the dining table was already impatient to hear the story that was about to come out of Dara's mouth. The short love story made most of his family curious. In less than two months they were ready for the wedding.

“So, who first fell in love?” ask Lia.

“From,” reply Ardi quickly.

“Lying! There is no way Teh Dara who fell in love first,” oceh Lia.

“Ask the person directly. Is that right, Ra?” ardi Goda.

“True,” says Dara Lirih.

“Since when did you like it?” chirp Farhan.

Dara turned to look towards Farhan. In the netra the man is seen a stain of jealousy. She immediately turned her face away and looked at the clear eyes of her husband.

“Then I worked as a marketing staff leader at my first company. That was where I met him early. Started from a coworker and now a life companion,” explained Dara.

“Very interesting story,” cut Eyang. “But we've already got here the chat. Now we have breakfast first after that interview can be resumed. Ok?”

“Ok, Eyang,” replied Lia and Febri in unison.

Febri began to feel strange with the attitude shown by her brother. The look on her face changed as they talked about Dara and Ardi. Febri continued to watch the two people sitting side by side in front of him now. Not without reason if Febri thought about all the possibilities.

“Di, we go for a walk, yuk. No need to be too close. Kan Dara also does not know this place properly,” invite Febri.

“True, A. Let's just go to the park. Anyway tonight is Sunday night. Definitely rame and exciting,” timpal Lia.

“Ok! You guys just set it up.” Ardi agreed. There was a faint smile on Lia and Febri's faces after hearing the answer from the handsome man before them.

“Di, is it okay Dara left? Didn't this morning just happen a small incident that left him injured?” chirp Farhan who suddenly sat beside Ardi.

“According to Febri it's just a small burn. So, I don't think it's a problem as long as he puts the ointment on his body and wears comfortable clothes,” replied Ardi.

“True, Brother,” says Febri. “This is not a big deal. After all, most of us sit around and chat. So, Brother Farhan need not worry.”

“Worry? Oh no, I don't mean like that. It's just..,”

“Thank you yes, Brother for your attention. My wife must be so happy to hear it.”

“Wife? Oh sure. She's your wife, so she's like a sister to me,” to Farhan.

Ardi tightly clasped his wife's hand down the path. Followed by Lia and Febri, in the rear row Farhan walked alone.

“We'll just sit there. Not too many people. Closer to the hawker as well,” says Lia. Then he rolled out the folding mat he was carrying without waiting for another approval. “Contest. I'm tired, nih.”

Each of them took off their footwear before climbing onto the mat. Ardi sat right behind Dara. He put his chin on his wife's shoulder and said, “Do you like this place?”

“Mm.” Dara nodded with a simple smile.

“I'm getting hungry. Anyone want to order something?” ask Lia.

“I want chicken noodles,” says Farhan. “You also want chicken noodles right, Ra?”

Dara looked up in surprise towards Farhan. He immediately nodded so as not to have a stiff atmosphere. He turned his head against Ardi. “You also want chicken noodles, right, Kak?” ask him with pampering.

Ardi nodded while smiling sweetly at his wife. “Li, order what you want. I went to the mini market for a while to buy drinks.”

“Ok! Ready A.” Lia immediately slid to carry out her duties.

“Di, I'm coming. I also want to buy cigarettes,” said Farhan held back Ardi's steps for a moment.

Febri and Dara are now living. It still feels awkward between the two of them. Dara took the phone in her bag to distract it from the non-wearing atmosphere.

“Ra, how are you doing now?” febri asked breaking the silence.

“Pretty good. Thank you for treating me this morning,” said Dara.

“No problem. It is the duty of a doctor,” replied Febri while chuckling. “So, Ardi told you to wear that shirt?”

“Iya,” replied Dara, while looking at the shirt she was wearing. “She said so as not to stick to the skin of her shirt and not rubbed. Fear of causing new wounds if I wear clothes that fit my body.”

“Wah! Ardi has changed a lot. I didn't think he would be such a caring person. I was really surprised. Because all this time he is famous for being very cuey people,” said Febri.

“Iya. I used to think that way too. Moreover, people who are always close to Kak Ardi are people who have tittle, have positions or are highly educated, look good. While I ... was very far from all that. I always told myself that a man like him would never look at me for a second. Ardi's like a shadow I can't touch, like a sky I can't reach, like a star I can only enjoy the shine from afar. He stood firm in his place without anyone daring to tease him.”

“Sortly Ardi would prefer you. Because what you're doing is the opposite of what I've all done before. I always try to get him to look at me. I will do anything as long as I get his attention, but always the effort I put in is in vain. He stayed in his place. As I did yesterday how I tried to steal his attention by dressing up like you and once again my last attempt was fruitless. It even makes you more friendly. Is that right, Mrs Seno Ardibratha?”

The two of them chuckled at Febri's suddenly enlarged tone of voice as he pronounced Dara's honorary title. The stiff atmosphere slowly began to melt away. There was no more tension between the two women.

As they were conversing, a hand suddenly appeared from behind Dara's shoulder while shaking the cold yogurth bottle. Dara's face suddenly saw her favorite drink in front of her. He took the bottle without seeing who gave it to him.

“Thank you ka.. anyway,” Dara speech was cut because when turning her body she just realized that the one who gave the drink was Farhan. Not husband. “Thank you.” Dara repeated her words expressionlessly.
