Lunch

After finishing, Lidya dropped out of class and Frans followed. Frans invited Lidya to lunch together.

"Lidya...you must not have eaten, right? Will you eat with me?" frans asked, hoping Lidya would eat with him.

"Ehm...What do you eat? I haven't eaten yet. This will wrap rice, because later in the afternoon I still have another lecture," he replied with a little curious to see what Frans is eating. Lidya was very hungry because she only ate bread.

"Have you tried the food at the tabita stall? " Frans asked while guessing for sure Lidya had never eaten there.

"What food is there?" ask Lidya while walking to follow Frans.

"Later you see for yourself. You can choose the menu you like. There are many choices there. Come on, let's go to the parking lot get a bike first! I'll take you home." Frans was very excited, smiling because he managed to invite Lidya to lunch together.

On the way to the parking lot, several eyes were fixed to see Frans and Lidya walking together. Surely some who look at them wonder.

"Ehm the Frans yes.new children in deketin tuh.pasti new scourge..pasar Frans," they said talking about Frans.

Lidya who felt noticed and spoke in whispers did not care and still walked towards the parking lot.

Tabita Warung

10 Minutes later, they reached Tabita's shop. It's definitely at lunchtime like this. Lidya looked for an empty seat and offered Frans a meal first.

"Mas.I wait here yes, Mas Frans take the food first. I take care of the stool" Lidya said as she checked her phone.

"You're Lid first, you've never eaten here. Try the menu you like, show it to the cashier so I pay," Frans said asking Lidya to take food first.

"Ohh well then.thank you." Lidya who was already hungry replied with enthusiasm.

Lidya left her bag and cell phone on the table.Shortly, Lidya's phone vibrated. Frans glanced over, wondering who called him. Frans wants to hold Lidya's phone, but is afraid that Lidya will return so bad. Then Frans saw Lidya who seemed confused by the many food choices. Frans smiled and laughed hehe...

Frans felt his desk shake and saw another incoming call on Lidya's phone. Frans glanced at Lidya. He still picked up food and ventured to see the incoming call.

"my mother"

Oh mother.

Frans was inwardly relieved not by a guy who called Lidya.

Lidya sat down and put down her food.

"Yes.tadi mama called." Frans tells Lidya while walking to get food.

Lidya called her mother, then hung up after Frans returned to her place.

"Lho.. lt's not in the eating?" frans asked to see that Lidya's food was still intact.

"Ohh, it was still my mama's phone" Lidya answered and prayed before eating.

Frans glanced at Lidya and smiled seeing Lidya praying before eating. Frans had not prayed for a long time and may have forgotten when he went to church.

"Why smile at yourself." asked Lidya in surprise.

They don't talk much when they eat. After she finished eating Lidya washed her hands and took a tissue from her bag.

"Giman Lid? delicious right?" frans asked while he finished his drink.

"Enak Mas.already laper because.hehehe.." replied Lidya with a laugh.

"Well, come back here sometime. Immediately, Lid, let the food go down first, then we go home." Frans invited Lidya to sit down for a while.

Lidya pulled out her phone and checked the incoming messages. Lidya then put her phone back in the bag. Frans pulled out his phone and asked for Lidya's number.

"Lid..can I have your number?" tanya Frans is ready to push her phone.

"What number is it? student number?" ask Lidya plain...

"Mad's mobile number" Frans replied upset that Lidya was teasing him.

"Ohh maaf.082152xxxxxxxx." Lidya mentioned her number quickly.

"Don't spit dong...haduh," protest Frans.

Then Lidya repeated the mention of his mobile number slowly. Frans actually knows a lot about Lidya. Frans read from a list of new students at orientation yesterday. However, Lidya did not write down her mobile number. Frans had photographed Lidya's personal data secretly. The origin of Jogja, its address in Jogja, its date of birth and others. Lidya did not exchange mobile numbers with Frans. Lidya did not ask for her mobile number. Then they went home, Frans drove Lidya home to her boarding house.

"Thank you, I've bought food and brought me home" said Lidya.

"Sama-sama, I'm home yes." Frans said goodbye and drove his bike away from Lidya.

Arriving at the boarding house, Lidya immediately changed his clothes. He took the time to rest because later in the afternoon, he still has class again. While Lidya sleeps, Frans sends a message to Lidya's cell phone.

Hi...ini Frans, do not forget to save my number this yes.

At his boarding, Frans waited for a reply to a message from Lidya. But Lidya did not reply. He saw the profile photo of whatsApp owned by Lidya. He saw a picture of Lidya. He smiled at Lidya's photo.

You are beautiful..hehe.

Frans put down his phone and opened his laptop to do his job. Frans deliberately turned off his phone, in order to focus and concentrate on completing his work. By late afternoon, he picked up the phone he had placed on the table. Frans thought that Lidya must have returned the message. But there was no reply from Lidya. He rewrote a message for Lidya

Hello...happy college, home carefully 😁

Frans then glanced at the clock on his phone, it was already 16:00 WIB. Maybe Lidya has already started college, so don't return the message. That's how Frans thought that Lidya did not return the message because she was in college.

*****

After college, Lidya will be home soon. He stopped by the stall wrapping food. Lidya did not open her phone. He had no idea Frans had sent him a message.

In a different place, Frans was waiting for a reply from Lidya. However, Lidya had not yet read the message.

As Lidya walked towards the kos, she felt her phone vibrate from inside her bag. Lidya had not yet picked it up, but her phone had already stopped vibrating. He saw an unanswered call that he did not recognize. Then he put his phone back in his bag. He continued his journey to the city.

Um...kok my message is not read anyway? I didn't pick up the phone either. Why am I bothering too. Maybe he won't pick up my phone. Never mind, it's not important to think about it either. Let's just say he doesn't want to be friends with me.
