Episode 4: First Meet With Red Rose

Meanwhile, in another place, precisely inside a mansion.

“So that person you mean guest today, Leo” Said the young man who was standing in front of the window and observing Edgar's fight.

“Yes, if he can't beat those two golems, then he's no match as one of my prospective hands. I'm going to take him to the employment department. What do you think of him, Red” Leo said as he sipped tea served to him.

Red observed Edgar's movements closely.

“He's smart enough to dodge the attacks from the golems. But still not enough to beat his golem. At least he had to attack the core of both his golems with the Physical Attack Enchanment. It was the easiest way to defeat the Elemental Golem” said Red who was still closely watching Edgar.

A few seconds later, Red was quite surprised because suddenly the two golems were unable to move and were destroyed instantly.

“Red, open the door for our guests today” Leo's orders.

“Alright” Red passed open the door.

After defeating the golem. Edgar hurried away after picking up the bag that had been dropped earlier then headed towards the mansion in front of him. The mansion was quite large, and well maintained despite being in the middle of a forest like this. Just as he was about to knock on the door, the door was already opened from the inside, and revealed a red-spirited young man older than him.

“Excuse me, is this really Leo's home?” edgar asked, a little nervous but still able to say hello with a hint of his strange smile.

“Come” said the young man.

Edgar nodded and followed the young man into the mansion. Edgar's eyes scanned the sizable mansion. Until the moment this young man in front of him, attacked suddenly. “Oi! What are you doing?” edgar asked while avoiding the attack.

“If you can hurt Red, then you pass the test, Edgar” said someone who suddenly appeared.

“Leo!” edgar exclaimed while enduring the blow from the red-blinded youth who was called Red by Leo.

“Hai Edgar. What about a little welcome from me? Do you like it?” leo asked casually waving to Edgar.

“I think my guess was right, I expected it. You're a noble huh?” Edgar sniffed a blow from Red again and asked Leo again.

“Oh, so that's in your view. Yes, your answer is almost correct. But. Red, don't hold back. You can lose” Leo said with a smile and gave his orders to Red.

Edgar and Red who heard Leo's words immediately both jumped back and took a distance between the two.

“Of course, I won't hold myself back this time” Red said as he took a prepared position.

“Edgar, this is a small warning from me. Red is strong, you know. Don't underestimate him” said Leo who is still loyal to his smile.

“But...” complained Edgar was not finished, and Leo immediately started their match event.

“Oke, then. Start!” Leo raised his hand, signaling the fight had begun.

Edgar who was surprised by Leo's warning immediately shouted in panic, “Woi, that's right!” Red immediately launched his fist towards Edgar's left face.

“You better watch Red's moves, Edgar. Otherwise he can kill you, you” Leo warned Edgar once again.

At that very moment, Red launched his attack again but could be held back by Edgar's nimble hand. “Uwa. But I'm not gonna die anyway. Take it easy, Leo”

Red still launches his attack on Edgar. From low blows, fists toward the face, to strong and fast kicks. Edgar evaded Red's attacks with barely a few hits.

The weapon that Edgar used was 2 sharp Dagger knives with Blue Azure handles. Red who saw Edgar pull out his gun also took out his weapon. Red raised his hand and appeared a red colored magic circle. He raised a blood-colored whip that he had grasped.

“Hee~ As I thought, Edgar is really an interesting person.2 dagger blades. A hit man, huh?! Assassin Class and Dark Magic, shadow control. But it seems like there is still something hidden by him” said Leo who was still faithful to observe Edgar and Red who were keeping their distance.

It looks like Red is preparing to attack Edgar “I think with this already seen what will happen at the end of the fight” Leo added with a smile full of mystery.

Leo again observed their fight from the connecting stairs of the 1st and 2nd floors.

Red kept his whip on attacking Edgar. Meanwhile, Edgar continued to dodge and occasionally fend off the lashes from Red. Red's whip was so hard it could not be cut using Edgar's sharp dagger. Not only that, in the Red whip there is also a Multiple-Barrier including resistance to sharp objects.

“If it's not wrong, your name is Red right? How long have you been serving Leo?” Edgar asked while dodging the attack from Red and replying to his attack.

“I have no obligation to answer your questions” replied Red, who was fending off the attack that Edgar had launched.

“Uwa! How sadistic. Then then! I will catch you alive and ask until you answer all my questions” Edgar said with a smile.

Without Red realizing it, he was no longer able to move his body. He looked around carefully and found his legs wrapped around his shadow. He's been caught in Edgar's trap.

“Shadow Bind” Edgar said as he walked closer on Red.

“Without you knowing, you are already bound by your own shadow. Even though I look like this, at least I have some tricks for people who are fad at me. A little advice from me, it's good if you don't move too much, your shadow will make you more and more unable to move” explained Edgar who was in front of Red, not to forget the smile humbled him.

Red who heard Edgar's words suddenly smiled as well. “You should also be careful”

Red dropped his whip casually. At that time his whip turned into rose tendrils and tried to catch Edgar. The tendrils continued to chase after Edgar, and made Edgar move away from Red's presence.

“Uwaaa.. almost” Edgar managed to avoid several attacks of rose tendrils and keep moving, so as not to get caught by Red's rose tendrils.

Edgar stopped running and saw Leo “Only with one pat of course” he said with a surprised expression.

“Red, enough for today. Edgar too. Seeing you fight turned out to be interesting. Maybe if it is forwarded it will take days to complete.” Leo said as he walked down the stairs with a smile that had not escaped his lips since the fight began.

“Edgar, what do you think? Do you want to work for me?” Said Leo who was in front of Edgar and stretched out his hand.

At first glance, Edgar seemed to be thinking about Leo's offer. He remembered his first meeting at a diner until he remembered the memories of his grandfather.

After a little thought Edgar then answered the words Leo “Alright. I'll work for you” while replying to Leo's hand, they smile at each other.

As if remembering something, it was Edgar's turn to ask Leo.

“Oh yes! I forgot to ask, are there any nobles living here? I know there are no nobles living in remote forests like this. Leo where are you from?” ask Edgar and let go of their hands.

“Ah, if the problem is later we talk about it over lunch. You haven't had time to eat, have you?” Leo turned from Edgar's hadapa and the wagon to the 2nd floor, followed by Red and Edgar.
