Episode 10: New Friends & New Job

We walked together towards the eastern side of the Crystal Palace. Passing through the large gate that was the barrier between the Crystal Palace and the Millefiole Palace, I re-activated Mist Observation to disguise the air of my existence. I can see a lot of soldiers wearing red milter uniforms with white patterns passing around here.

‘What is Millefiole Palace is the residence of the main forces of Lilyum Kingdom?’ My mind is watching them.

“Edgar, greet your new friends!” leo opened the door and went inside.

I followed Leo and saw 4 people gathered there. A man with glasses reading a book. A maid standing behind him. And the two children who were wearing Academy uniforms, it seemed like they were twin brothers, seeing their positions quite close to each other.

“The person wearing glasses is Alan. He is the chairman of the library next archive” said Leo pointed to the man who was reading the book.

I turned to Alan and nodded my head, as a sign of introduction. He is pretty good looking with his glasses. Her hair is Blonde with yellow-gray eyes. From the looks of it, he was like a young man who was the same age as me and Leo. It seems like he is a very smart person, considering his current job.

“Then, the maid who was behind Alan was Maia” my gaze shifted towards Maia.

Maid is beautiful with her posture is quite sexy with the maid outfit she wears. Her purple hair mixed with light pink tied with white ribbons and her pink eyes added to her aura of beauty. From her sexy and mature appearance it seems like she is older than all of us here.

“And who was playing chess there was Nico and Noel. Oh, aye! They are twin brothers who are currently studying at Akademi”

On the other side of the room, there are 2 people who mentioned Leo was serious with his chess board. The hair is both green leaves with the same eye color. The Nico male has short hair with a hairpin on the right. And the female Noel has hair on display with hairpins on the left. They are about 14 years old.

“Everything, gathered in the middle now. I will make an announcement to you” said Leo, who had already walked to the center of the room and sat down leisurely.

Maia came with tea already on the tray and served it at the middle table and then stood back behind Alan. Nico and Noel are also in front of Alan, alongside Leo.

“Include, this is Edgar. He will be the leader of your group.” Leo said without making small talk.

I moved forward a little and introduced myself to them. “Halo everyone, I am Edgar” This brief enough introduction left them all speechless with a myriad of questions popping up in their heads.

A moment of silence occurred in this room, until Alan broke the silence with a question “So, therefore this room has 5 rooms?”

Leo smiled at Alan's question. “Ahaha, indeed this room has 5 rooms, but that does not mean you will stay here. You have your own room, right? Think of it, this place as a space where you will gather in the future” Leo's answer makes them stunned again.

“You mean, Your Highness?” Ask Maia.

“From now on, you will be part of one of the special elite groups that exist under the Lilyum Royal Family.” Leo said leaving Edgar and his new friends silent in the middle of the room.

“Ha? What do you mean, Your Majesty?” Alan asked again breaking the silence.

“As I said earlier, from now on you will work together in one group. And your duties will be delivered directly by the Lilyum Royal Family. For his general duties, I want you to be the information center for the Lilyum” Royal Family, Leo explained.

“What is the reason Prince Leo gathered us because of our different backgrounds?” Ask Nico.

“Hm, you could say that. Alan can provide information in the library archive. Maia could gather information around the Palace, such as gossip from the servants and palace workers. Then you, Nico and Noel, can collect any information in Akademi” replied Leo.

“Then, what about Edgar? What will he do?” Ask Nico again.

“He who will be the leader of your group as well as a distributor of the information you collect” replied Leo with a cheerful smile on his face.

I was surprised by Leo's response. My mind went blank and I can't remember what Leo was talking about anymore. All I remember is Leo coming out of the room with a smile and waving his hand “Good Luck, the Shadow Stars”

Maia then offered her tea again, and we started talking little by little. Introduce one by one, and examine the words of Leo he said earlier. We spent some time before they decided to return to their respective activities.
