The Survivor and the System

The Survivor and the System
Chapter 59: Misunderstand It!

Due to the intent of the investigation Edward found an excuse to part with Violet before secretly sneaking out of the clan. Pausing for a moment to think, he decided to go to the nearest small market owned by the Murphy Clan.

Although he was not interested in helping the Elders to alleviate their problems, it was because of John Collin and the mission the system gave him. He had to provide assistance to the Collin clan, to help, he had to know where to start, thus, Edward had to first investigate the market of the Murphy Clan.

This small market owned by the Murphy clan was positioned in a rather remote area and thus usually this market only had a small number of visits, however, when Edward went into the market, he was overwhelmed by the crowded streets and deafening boisterous sounds.

On the wide road, people rushed. Several burly-handed men shouted as they tried hard to penetrate the crowd. From the faint smell of blood emanating from these people, they were probably bloodthirsty mercenaries. Because they were often engaged in life and death battles, they had a great desire for healing medicine, it was because, when they were working on special missions within dangerous areas, they were very dangerous, some healing remedies are a great option for treating physical injuries or helping their peers.

Standing at the entrance of the market, Edward saw several mercenaries carrying small wooden boxes while pushing out of the crowd before gleefully darting out of the market.

"The reason these people are gathered here must be because of the Spring Pill?."Silently whispering this sentence, Edward stepped into the street and used all his strength to break through the crowd. At a kiosk selling ‘Pil Spring’, Edward spent a hundred gold to buy a suitcase.

Holding the bag as he once again painstakingly barged out of the crowd, Edward finally heaved a sigh of relief. Thinking back on the haughty and impatient face of the medicine seller, he couldn't help but sneer in his heart."The dogs that use their position to bully others."

As he walked out of the market with this bag, Edward lifted the lid. Inside were ten small bottles made from raw materials, probably the lowest grade of jade. It is impossible to maintain the effectiveness of the drug with this kind of ingredient.

Opening the bottle, a hint of green liquid that emitted a very weak medicinal odor was found contained within it.

"Ck, just a low grade tier 1 Pill. Can this be called a medicine?."Edward sneered when he saw the green liquid inside the jade bottle.

"Although this can be counted as the lowest level of healing medicine with some healing effects. This kind of simple healing medicine was not difficult to make and because of its fertility, it could only be sold for a cheap price. This was why only a few first-rate alchemists were willing to produce it."

"Selling this kind of medicine for a hundred gold to ten bottles means per bottle for ten gold. To an Alchemist, this is truly shameful."After saying this, Edward called the system with his mind and beekata."System, do you have this kind of Pill recipe!."

Ding!

[Many, the system has 150 level 1 pill recipes, 120 level 2 recipes. For a tier 1 pill recipe the maximum price is 10 system points]

"All right, give me one!."Said Edward.

Ding!

[Success Purchase.].

Immediately, Edward felt a wave of information in his head. After a while, Edward nodded his head."Not bad, this is better than the Semi Musing Pill!."

"First, I must go to the Trade House to obtain a large amount of basic medicinal ingredients to make a tier 1 Pill in bulk!."Edward smiled coldly and threw the box into a roadside ditch after which he made his way towards the location of the Primary Trading house.

Just before he arrived at the Trading House, Edward once again wore a black coat in a hidden corner before taking the time to slowly approach the Trading House.

Hearing their subordinates' information, Yolanda and Roger simultaneously left their current jobs to appear at the door of the Trade House then smiled as they led Edward into the living room.

"I've made this visit to ask for your help in obtaining large quantities of medicinal ingredients."A hoarse young voice sounded from under the black robe. Then, with both hands, he brought the teacup to his mouth to take a sip.

"Please mention the master!."Yolanda smiled charmingly.

"Hmm!."The young voice carried a slightly pleased tone. Slightly hesitated before saying."500 stalks of Blood Clot Grass, 600 Bone Flowers, 500 Poppy Flowers, 500 Life Fruit. And also, Low-Level Storage Rings.."

Hearing this request, Roger's eyelids soared slightly. Even the lowest grade “Storage” ring costs around 70 to 80 thousand gold and although the medicinal ingredients requested are quite simple, due to the large amount it takes no less than 100,000 gold to prepare. All of these things if added up, total 250,000. If it gave all of this, the Primary Trading House would have lost a lot.

Yolanda was also astonished by the request. This Trading House was not his own and hence he had to report most of the profits and transactions to the headquarters. Personally using 250,000 funds is not impossible but will definitely be found by his superiors.

Lightly biting her red lips and taking a little time to weigh the benefits that a fourth tier alchemist could provide, Yolanda gave an easy smile as she said." Old man, everything will be ready in an hour."

"Haha, good ...."For the first time in front of Yolanda, Edward usually uses an unenthusiastic tone replaced by a happy laugh.

A white hand appeared from behind the black robe to take out the blue jade card and place it on the table. Edward smiled and said."I'm not sure if this money is enough for purchase ... but you can add another set of ingredients from the Cyclone Spirit Pill!."

Hearing what was said, Roger's skin turned faint. Another set of ingredients for the Cyclone Spirit Pill? Isn't that another 50,000 gold?

The reddish lips parted slightly, Yolanda was also a little angry. Even though the other party was a fourth level Alchemist, this was simply too much.

Although she was angry, Yolanda kept this feeling in her heart, not letting even the slightest hint be shown on her beautiful face by wearing a completely smiling expression. Thinking to himself for a moment, he laughed bitterly in his heart. Reminding himself that sometimes sacrifices had to be made for the greater good, he had no choice but to sigh and nod, showing his agreement.

"Haha, looks like you two misunderstood. This set of materials is not for myself, I was just thinking of helping out by refining the "Spirit Cyclone Pill" for you. Letting the two of you pay the cost of those materials shouldn't be too much right?.'The young voice calmly laughed.

The slightly dazed yet still beautiful face immediately changed after suddenly being filled with excitement, Yolanda's intelligence while being scattered by this sudden yet pleasant surprise. In a short time later, Yolanda finally managed to suppress her blushing and calm face. Making eye contact with the similarly carefree Roger, she somewhat nervously replied in a soft voice."Then I should thank you, sir."
