Chapter 30:Angel's Surprise!

The Maturity Ceremony had so many separate steps and was so complicated that it could make one's head start to hurt.

Edward is a man who likes tranquility, he does not like troublesome things or the attention of many people.

Sitting under the platform, Edward noticed the young man on the platform being led like a puppet. He couldn't help but rub his forehead as he said to Violet beside him."This ceremony of maturity. this must be torture."

Watching Edward's sad face, Violet smiled as she said."Can't help, this is a rule passed down since ancient times and even Uncle John wouldn't dare to change it."

Ancient rules? Is this world really unique? Is it like the customs on earth?Or rituals?

Edward sighed as he weakly nodded. Just as he was about to fall asleep, his brows furrowed as he felt someone was staring at him. Narrowing his eyes, he looked to the left of the platform.

There, Jordan and Jack stood, full of envy while watching Violet and Edward. When their gazes met, Jordan quickly raised his fist, aggressively.

"Idiote!."

Lightly saying this word, Edward's gaze moved slightly to the left, to Angel who was standing beside Jordan and Jack. Her eyes boldly swept over her long and sexy legs, until her face turned green, before finally turning her face away with a cold smile.

From the side, Violet smiled to herself while watching Edward's antics, feeling a little helpless. When it comes to Angel, Edward seems to lose his usual composure and always provokes him until he becomes completely enraged.

Lying in a cool wooden chair, Edward enjoyed the sweet scent of the girl beside him, while waiting with his eyes closed.

When the Ritual of Maturity had run in half, it was Edward's turn at last.

Upon hearing the screams from the stage, everyone on the guest platform looked at Edward with curious or suspicious eyes. For most of them, though, most of the reason why they were here at the Collin Clan's Maturity ceremony was to see the young man who had caused an uproar in Javes Chity and to see if he was as described in the rumors.

Edward slowly opened his eyes and the gazes from around made him feel like a monkey in the zoo, causing him to shake his head helplessly.

With a light sigh and a calm face, Edward stepped slowly onto the platform under everyone's gaze.

The Maturity Ceremony was held by the second elder Grandy Collin. Although the second elder never gave Edward his sympathy in the past, he rarely went out of his way to annoy Edward. Moreover, from the day of the initial exam, he had softened a little. At least, the ridicule that had previously been clearly exposed¹an on his face was no longer visible on the old wrinkled face.

With a complicated expression in her eyes, Grandy sighed in her heart as she looked at the young man who had turned the table in her life. His face trembled slightly as he picked up the materials needed for the ceremony before walking towards Edward.

Seeing the second Elder walking towards him, Edward remembered the troublesome and boring ceremony earlier. With a bitter smile, he closed his eyes and waited for his destiny.

Under everyone's eyes, Edward stood like a fool for half an hour before the complex troublesome scene finally ended.

With a sigh of relief in his heart, Edward opened his eyes. Looking at the various spices surrounding his body, he rolled his eyes gloomily.

After all the complicated steps ended, the second elder wiped the sweat from his brows and turned towards the black stone monument shouting."Ceremony Test!."

The Ceremony Test was much more accurate compared to the initial test since this time, the test was personally checked by the Fighter Granmaster, the Collin Clan's second Elder. This shows how serious the Maturity Ceremony is.

With the cry of the second Elder, those who had been bored out of their minds suddenly focused as they sent attention to the platform.

On the Guest Platform, almost everyone sitting there was also staring at the black-clothed youth. The purpose of their visit today was to confirm whether the disabled young man from the Collin Clan had actually reversed the situation.

Ignoring the burning gazes around him, Edward calmed down as he walked to the black monument.

While watching the quiet Edward, the dry hands of the second Elder touched the black Monument and a strand of Spirit was pushed into it to test it. After which, he stepped aside and joined others in staring at Edward. Even though he was present at the testing earlier, he couldn't help but wonder: Did this kid really get to the Peak Stage of Body Formation.

The shock of Edward's training greatly impacted this second Elder and he was specifically asked to take charge of the Maturity Ceremony so that he could make sure that he personally tested Edward!

Ignoring the gaze of the second Elder's question, Edward's hand slowly touched the black monument ….This time he would strengthen his spirit a little more than before.

It was because Edward knew that most of the people present, doubted his strength.

He would tell everyone that the flaw they often ridiculed had actually risen.

Seeing Edward touch the monument, Angel could not help but furrow his brows while turning his head to whisper to Jordan."Did he really get to the Peak Stage of Body Formation?."

Since Angel had just returned home two days ago after requesting a break from the academy, she was not there to witness Edward's initial testing and thus was still suspicious about his achievements.

Asked by his sister, Jordan bitterly nodded as he said."Yep. That guy must have eaten something that helped him jump three stages in just one year."

After her question was confirmed once again, Angel pushed her lips together while stomping her feet in annoyance. And angrily looking at the young man on stage, her beautiful face showed her stubbornness as she thought."Without me actually seeing it, I wouldn't believe that the handicap had changed the situation."

Taking a deep breath, Angel grinned as she said."The child must have done something last time but with the second Elder checking it out this time, I will …"

Before he could finish his thoughts, Angel's face stiffened as the rest of the words stuck in his throat.

On the tall wooden platform, the huge black monument shone brightly as black words appeared on the monument."Perfect Body Formation Stage!."
