CHAPTER - 09

One month into the pregnancy program, Snow still did not feel any signs of pregnancy, although during the examination last month, all the results were good.

"Byy, it's time for a test pack" Aaric handed his wife two pregnancy tests.

With hesitation, he accepted and asked Aaric to wait for him outside the bathroom. "Please wait here for a minute, sir" said Snow. He went into the bathroom and closed it from the inside.

For a long time she looked at herself in front of the mirror, she was afraid to make her husband disappointed because the effort they did had not produced results. With trembling hands Snow ventured to use the test pack.

"How did it go byy?" ask Aaric curiously.

There was a look of disappointment from Aaric's face seeing a negative result on the test pack in his hand, but then he tried to smile to his wife. "Nothing, let's try again. Maybe God still wants to give us time together before we have children" comforted Aaric. "The age of our marriage is not yet one year," Aaric hugged his wife warmly.

"How about mommy?" Snow could already imagine the annoying face and spicy mouth of his mother-in-law, plus his sister-in-law who made the atmosphere even hotter.

"Of course mommy will understand it" said Aaric optimistically. "Mommy must understand because the time of the Lantern pregnancy program was not immediately successful. Snow did not respond to her husband's remarks, due to the fact that her mother-in-law had never been kind to her and had always thought of herself as just another person living in her house.

"Come on Snow," he persuaded. "How can you get pregnant if you yourself are lazy to eat, your body needs a nutritious diet to facilitate our program."

"Yes, I'll let you go" he refused.

"Surely because of mommy, I told you my mommy wasn't as bad as you thought. Come already!!" Aaric pulls Snow's hand out of his room, forcing his wife to have breakfast with his family.

"Morning mom" said Aaric, sitting at the dinner table with his wife. "Where's daddy? Didn't you come home last night?" he was surprised when last night he just had a long conversation with his daddy.

"Have flown back to Singapore" Astrid replied with a heavy sigh. "Said there was an important meeting he had to attend."

Aaric nodded, his daddy was indeed a workaholic who never had time for family, sometimes he felt sorry for his mommy because it was always ignored by his daddy.

"For this month, it hasn't worked" replied Aaric. "But we'll try again."

Snow has been very hurt in his mother-in-law, he really can not stand always in the corner and insulted by her. He picked up the suitcase and tidied up his clothes.

"Snow... Wait a minute, you don't go!!" prevent Aaric.

"I'm tired of mas, hearing your mommy always corner and insult me. If he doesn't like me, I'd better go" he took Aaric's hand off and took back his shirt in the closet.

"Snow, listen to me first!!" Aaric pulled his wife's body back towards him. "Mommy doesn't like you, she's just disappointed that you're not pregnant."

"But it has to be insulting me? By saying I'm a gatel and like to plunge here and there? although I had worked in the entertainment world I was not a cheap woman," the clear circles began to fall on her face, it was too painful whenever her mother-in-law considered herself a cheap woman.

"Snow, my mommy just doesn't know about your old world," Aaric summarized his wife's face and wiped her tears. "I'm sure once he finds out, he won't think of you that way again. Be patient dear," Aaric pulled Snow's body into his arms. "Trust me, someday mommy will understand. We just need to adapt."

"I'm tired, I can't take it anymore."

"Later I'll talk to mommy, I'm sure mommy will understand and won't talk to you like that again. Believe me!!" Aaric stroked Snow's back gently.

Aaric continued to plead with Snow face to face so that Snow would not leave his residence. "Please don't stay with me."

Seeing her husband's face parched, making Snow's heart again melt, she nodded her head.

"Thank you, you still want to give me the right. Please, don't make me choose between the mother who gave birth to me and you, I love you both" said Aaric. "Let me have time to condition all this."
