The Snow In Paris

CHAPTER - 03

"Morning," Aaric approached Snow in the kitchen, then hugged her from behind. "You make grilled fish? It's delicious to smell." The aroma of his wife's cooking is always uplifting, so he can't wait to taste it.

Snow hit the hand of her husband who was about to pluck his baked fish. "Mas Aaric take a shower first, we'll eat together."

"Yes.. Ja.. I take a shower, yeah," Aaric kissed Snow on the head and then he went back to his room to clean his body.

At 07:30 all members of the Aaric family had gathered at the dinner table. "Well, early in the morning there are grilled fish. Very special breakfast this morning," said.

"Yes dong dad," said Aaric, he glanced at Snow. "My wife made it." Snow smiled sweetly, it turned out that his hard work catching fish early in the morning was not in vain, making his husband and father-in-law impressed with him.

"Mommy get it.." Astrid put one of Snow's grilled fish on her husband's plate, then onto her plate. "I want a mom, too" Lanterns thrust out her dinner plates.

"Hey, deck. It's my wife's" said Aaric. He saw the rest of the grilled fish made by his wife only one tail left. Snow stroked Aaric's arm. "It's okay, I can eat everything else" Snow said. The difficulty of catching fish in a slippery pond made him forget the number of members of the Aaric family so he had to succumb not to eat his homemade grilled fish.

Snow was already feeling quite happy to see her husband, so enjoying his cooking. "How's it?" ask Snow to Aaric.

Aaric nodded. "Dear dear, thank you."

"What is good, this is bitter," said Lantern, he threw out the fish made by Snow. "You're going to poison us, aren't you?" connect Astrid. "It's totally unfeasible" Astrid did the same thing with her daughter.

Seeing the behavior of his wife and children, .. directly reprimanding them. "Can you guys not make a noise at the dinner table?" he said firmly.

Astrid, who seemed disinclined by her husband, immediately stopped insulting Snow's cooking, while Lantern chose not to continue with her morning breakfast. "My stomach was nauseous because of that charred fish," he got up from his seat.

Seeing the attitude shown by her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, making Snow's heart hurt, she felt that she had been trying to be a good daughter-in-law in order to be accepted in her husband's family, however, it seems that Astrid and Lantern have not been willing to accept Snow completely. Snow himself did not know for sure why, he could only guess, the difference in background where Snow came from the entertainment world while Aaric was a well-respected conglomerate boy, that is the reason why his mother-in-law and sister-in-law have not been able to accept it fully.

After breakfast, Snow escorted Aaric to the front door. "Remember, from today you can't leave without me, and then my secretary will take care of all your contract termination."

Snow thought that Aaric had forgotten about their discussion last night, but apparently Aaric was really serious about his words. Not wanting to increase the length of her problem with her husband, Snow nodded. "Yes mas" he grabbed Aaric's hand and kissed him. "Be careful, my mother."

"Yes, you're fine at home too. Assalamualaikum." Aaric kissed both his wife's cheeks and lips and then he got into his car and went to the office.

As soon as her husband's car went out of sight, Snow re-entered her, planning to contact her manager to discuss the issue of her contract with several brands, but her steps came to a halt when her mother-in-law called her.

"Today you're still filming?" astrid asked, with a scornful look.

Snow shook his head. "As of today I am a vacum from the entertainment world," replied Snow weakly.

"It should have been that step you took from the beginning you were married to Aaric" Astrid said. "Since you're not going anywhere today, you better help mommy garden."

"Huh? Gardening?" his question was surprised, he never gardening at all, even he did not know how to plant trees to grow lushly.

"Let's go gardening with mommy!" Astrid gives Snow gloves and grass clippers, but Snow doesn't want to reject her mother-in-law's invitation, but she must immediately contact her manager to discuss her contract, but presumably the request of her mother-in-law could not be disturbed, Astrid pulled Snow's hand towards the backyard of her residence.

"Let's get rid of the weeds around my carrot and radish plants!" astrid orders, while pointing to a row of carrots and radishes planted neatly in his garden.

As a lover of organic food, Astrid grows her own several vegetables in the backyard of her residence which is quite spacious. While Snow plucked the grass, Astrid pulled over from the sun while sitting back and enjoying the cold orange juice. "Let's pull it clean!!" he shouted from the edge of the garden.

"Huh.. Why not just buy it at the supermarket?" grumbling Snow, several times he was seen wiping the sweat that soaked his forehead.

"Let's not be lazy! Just plucking the grass once in a long time your work!! Shouted Astrid back.

After nearly two and a half hours of Snow struggling with the weeds in her mother-in-law's garden, thirst struck her, she ventured to ask her mother-in-law for rest.

"Basic slacker!" seeing Snow's face turning deathly pale, Astrid allowed Snow to enter, she did not want to get in trouble with Aaric if Aaric found out he told Snow to garden.

With shaky steps, Snow walked into his room, and threw his body on the bed. Just as he was laying down on the bed, Snow heard the ringing of his phone, he fumbled at the table beside his bed to grab his phone. "Hello" said Snow, answering the call.

"Snow, where have you been? This morning, Mr. Arnold, your husband's secretary called me. He said he was ordered by you to cancel all contracts you signed. Is that really Snow? What was? Why did you suddenly become unprofessional like this?"

"I'm sorry, Dusk. My husband forbids me to work."

"But this is not the way, Snow. You should report to management first, not just stop playing, we all have rules here, and you're really unprofessional."

Snow knew all that, but she could not refuse the request of her husband and mother-in-law who kept pushing her.
