Nelliya Azzahra
Alura stepped foot into the mansion and walked through each room. His chest again felt tight when he remembered every corner of the house that contained beautiful memories and bitter memories together.
That is life, like two sides of a currency, happy and sadness are inevitable.
Sometimes God tests with trials, sadness, pain, and lack. Then at another time, God bestows upon us the blessings of immeasurable happiness.
Alura walked towards the window located in the main room. With a little push, then the window was open and showed directly the view of the rose garden owned by uncle Soleh.
Alura remembers when she was seven years old, she liked to carry a basket and asked Aunt Raihanah for permission to pick the red roses. Then the flowers he brought to his house and put just on the table to dry.
Alura chuckled at the thought of her childhood memories.
Our lives don't know what the end will be like. In the past, Alura thought her life would always be happy with a whole family, but who would have thought, all was not what she expected. He only realized that man can only plan, for the end result only God determines.
But Allah is Ever-Fair and Unrighteous. When Alura felt at the lowest point in her life, God also presented ease and happiness through her adoptive parents. And even more remarkable is the religion he now professes, namely the religion of Islam. Alura had never felt this happy, how could she not be happy? If he could know the Lord who created him, being able to know the purpose of his life, knowing what he was created for in this world, being able to worship according to what his Lord wanted for Alura would be enough. He did not want to be greedy by asking for more.
Alura wishes are simple, just want to live, worship calmly, and spread kindness. Not spending the time that God lends with vain things, that is all.
Alura dragged her steps towards the room she used to occupy. One-on-one stairs on the climb, the closer to his room, the more the sense of tightness filled his chest cavity.
Kink ...!
Look, a pretty big room. Slightly trembling Alura went inside, and sat on the edge of the bed.
The memory came again, Alura remembered how she endured hunger all night by curling up on the bed while holding her stomach because it was painful, usually ending up sleeping on a hungry stomach. Yes, if Alura is considered to have made a mistake, as her punishment Alura is not given dinner.
Alura's cry broke remembering it all until she squeezed her chest, the pain..
Alura is not sincere, it's just that Alura needs time to heal every wound in her heart. To forgive, God willing, Alura long forgave the actions of her mother and three half-sisters. Because in Islam it is not taught to harbor resentment and hatred, the advice of Ustadzah Aisyah, he said, to repay bad deeds with good.
Perhaps, others thought Alura was too naive, but it was not at all. Alura felt a calmness in her life, when she did not hold any hatred and grudges. He did not want the hatred lodged in his heart to form a liver disease that would gradually cause his heart to die. A dead heart, it is hard to accept guidance and truth.
"Assynnya!"
Alura gasped at the sound of the female greeting. Hurriedly he wiped away the rest of his tears and tidied up his veil before exiting the room.
He did not mishear, in front of the door stood a young woman wearing a robe and a wide veil was on her back.
"Walaikumsalam" the woman turned around and smiled warmly.
"Alura MBA! Masayallah. Didn't think we could meet again, Ma'am" Fatimah Uncle Soleh's second child immediately embraced Alura, channeling the longing because it had not met for years. She and Alura used to play together in her mother's rose garden in the back of the house. The Alura family is very good, the house they occupy now is a gift from the Alura family.
In fact, Alura used to be considered like her own child by her mother and father.
But alas, when Alura was fifteen years old, they never saw Alura again in the mansion. According to her stepmother, Alura lives abroad with her uncle and aunt.
They believe it, do not suspect anything. Because they knew there were indeed Alura's uncles and aunts living in London.
"Mr ..." Fatimah covered her mouth with both hands, she realized that Alura was wearing Muslim clothes. At one time, the Alura family was non-Muslim, including Alura.
"Yes?"
"Sorry, Ma'am's clothes, Alura?"
Alura smiled before answering Fatimah's question. He could see the expression of shock from his childhood best friend's face.
"Now, we're like-minded brothers, Fatimah. I decided to become a convert" explained Alura who actually made Fatimah cry was not able to withstand the feeling of haru and and happy. Verily, Allah's guidance belongs to whomever Allah wills.
"Allahu akbar!" Fatimah shrank her tears "ahlan wa sahlan ukhti" they re-embarked.
"Where do you know, if I come back?"
"Bang Yasir, he told me. I did not expect, could meet Mbak Alura again" this time Fatimah's cries had begun to subside.
Yasir, yes the young man he met in front of the gate earlier was Fatimah's biological brother.
"Oohs. How are you doing, Mr. Soleh and Ms. Raihanah?"
"Alhamdulillah well, Ma'am. Come, home! They must also miss Alura" Fatimah is sure both her parents will be happy if they see Alura back.
"Well, tonight God willing I visit home, you"
Not how long Fatimah was willing to leave Alura alone in the three-story house. Alura immediately returned to her room after locking the front door.
Alura has cleaned up and prepared to pray magrib, while waiting for the adhan, Alura murojaah has one juz.
The tears of Alura were hatched when they came to the verse: then which favor of your Lord do you deny?
Not a few are infuriated against the favor of Allah, but the favor of Allah is very much unable to count it.
As hard as we try.
Drrrt Drrrt
Just finished murojaah, Alura's mobile phone vibrates appeared the name of Mr. Oscar there.
"Assalamualaikum, what's wrong Mr. Oscar?"
"Moskalamic. Sorry, Madam Alura, I just got an email from Auntie, Ma'am in London. It asks Mama to go there. Because regarding the will, they wanted to see firsthand"
"Then why should I go there?"
"They, want to meet you, Ms Alura"
Alura breathed a rough breath. Does he have to see his aunt? How will they react to seeing the change in him?
