The Secret of Office Girl

The Secret of Office Girl
53. That Man's Name

“You remember, after I played free boxing against Max, I trailed a man who I was sure was the boss of Max.”

Ken nodded. He remembers picking up Kirana at the airport, which ended when he and the other guards found Kirana fighting free boxing.

After the fight, Kirana sees Max being dragged by a mysterious man, then Kirana follows them, and eavesdroppers Max' conversation with her boss.

From eavesdropping on the man's conversation, Kirana knew there was a spy working at Irawan Group.

Later, Kirana was about to chase after the man's gang, but Ken tried to hold Kirana back, so she lost track.

“The man. Max's boss is his father Clara,” said Kirana who was very surprised.

“Then, the spy working in Papa's company was Clara. All this time I've been guessing wrong. I think Raka became a spy because I thought Raka was holding a grudge for Ray.”'s death

Kirana massaged her forehead. One question has been answered. However, now many questions have sprung up in Kirana's mind.

Who is Clara's father? What was Clara's father's relationship with Papa? Why would that man want to hurt Papa so badly?

A series of questions that made Kirana's head dizzy.

On the other hand, Clara continued to ramble on how sick her right arm was. But it no longer feels anything.

Clara's right arm suffered a minor bone fracture, but doctors have confirmed that Clara will improve soon.

Clara's father, who was sitting on the edge of the bed clenching his hands, was angry at the girl who had broken her son's hand.

Amanda was in the kitchen preparing lunch. She decides to stay in the apartment to persuade Raka to return home and get engaged to Clara.

“Daddy, it seems Raya knows that I am the mastermind of the toxic coffee incident,” said Clara very slowly while glancing miserably at the door.

Clara was afraid that Amanda would come and hear their conversation.

“You just think about your engagement with Raka. Isn't this what you wanted long ago? Balin problem, let Daddy who will immediately intervene.”

Clara pulled the tip of her lips in a smile. Although the look of the eyes showed a sense of disappointment because he could not boast of the father.

“I'm sorry, Dad. I always fail in carrying out orders from Daddy. If it wasn't for that office girl, it would have been old Balin dead by now.”

Clara's father sighed in disgust. “In addition to harming Balin, you also Daddy assigned to look for Kirana's whereabouts. Have you met Kirana?”

“Numbered, Dad. I've never seen Kirana work at Irawan Group.”

“Are you sure?”

Clara nodded without hesitation.

While Clara's father breathed a rough breath, it was obvious she was disappointed to have put her son as a spy.

Even so, his outstretched hand rubbed the child's shoulder. Then he stood up.

“Rest until your engagement day arrives, Darling. Daddy has to go first.”

Clara just nodded stiffly. There was fear when he saw the anger drawn in his father's eyes.

Every time Clara talked about Balin or Kirana, her father would look angry and hold a grudge so great.

The man walked out of the room, approaching Amanda who looked overwhelmed in the kitchen.

Amanda is a woman who is not good at cooking. Even his skill in the culinary field is still far inferior to his eldest son.

When she was young, Amanda was a career-mad woman. Moments that should be spent to accompany the growth and development of Raka and Ray were often ignored.

Little Raka and Ray are often entrusted to the late Oma – mother-in-law Amanda –, who is assisted also by a nanny.

“Amanda, I'm leaving now. I leave Clara here,” Clara's father said goodbye.

Amanda turned away from the pile of groceries at the table. He looked at his best friend's face while grinning.

“Why rush? How about we wait for Raka to come, then have lunch together.”

The middle-aged man nodded.

“No. I'm on a lot of business. Next time maybe.”

Afterwards, Clara's father exited the apartment, walked towards the elevator, and remained silent for a moment waiting for the elevator door to open.

Ting

The sound of the iron door was open. There was no one in there except Ken who deliberately wore a hat to cover half his face.

Clara's father didn't suspect Ken. He got into the elevator, and pressed the button down to the bottom floor.

Ken got himself behind Clara's dad. His eyes were fixed on the back pocket of the pants that slightly inflated because there tucked a wallet.

Ken slowly grazed the wallet, like a professional pickpocket. While occasionally Ken looked up, afraid that the old man at the front was aware of his actions.

Ken breathed a mouthful, as soon as he managed to grab a black purse made from crocodile leather.

As quickly as possible Ken picked up a business card in the wallet. Just then, the elevator door opened again. It turned out that they had reached the ground floor, and Clara's father stepped in to get out.

Ken didn't have enough time to put the wallet back where it was.

So, Ken accidentally bumps into Clara's father's body, coinciding with her dropping the wallet onto the floor.

“Hai, if you use your eyes!” snapped Clara's father.

Ken's not hatching. He sped up a step, and immediately disappeared into a passageway.

Clara's father was upset. Then, his eyeballs caught the black thing lying under his feet.

“This is my wallet.”

Clara's father's hand touched the back pocket of her pants. It's true, it was his wallet.

He leaned over to pick up the wallet, opened the contents, and put them in again after checking that none of the items were missing.

He missed a card that was no longer in his wallet.

“Basic youth of today,” umpat father Clara.

Meanwhile, Ken who was walking half ran over to Kirana who was waiting at the end of the hall.

Ken's breath was puffed. She looked back to make sure Clara's father wasn't chasing her.

“You know the man's name?” ask Kirana as Ken approaches.

Ken shook his head, making Kirana pursed her lips.

“But I get this,” said Ken brandishing a piece of card.

As fast as lightning, Kirana's hand grabbed the small card. His pursed lips turned a curling smile in an instant.

“Good work, Ken.”

“So, what is the name of the man, Miss Kirana?” ken asked after Kirana read the row of letters on the card.

“The man's name..”
