The Secret of Office Girl

The Secret of Office Girl
33. Problems with Runyam

Pov RAKA.

I held a grudge against the man who had made my brother, Ray, crash to death.

However, until now I did not know who that person was.

Clara once met me with a man who claimed to be an eyewitness to Ray being hit. His name was Beni.

“The person who hit Ray is the boss you work for. Mr. Balin Mahendra.”

Then I don't believe Beni's confession just like that. I don't want my revenge against the wrong people, so I ask for proof from Beni.

It turns out that Beni has no hard evidence that Mr. Balin hit Ray.

Deep inside me, I can't believe the boss I worked for has stretched my brother's life.

Mr. Balin is a good man. It is evident from the way he treats his subordinates.

One example, when I knocked on her door, and she was with Raya, my boyfriend who works as an office girl.

I was surprised to be there. Looks like they're having a pretty serious conversation.

Then, I told Mr. Balin that soon the meeting will begin, and authoritatively Mr. Balin asked Raya to make coffee for him.

For a moment I wanted to go to the meeting room, but I really missed Raya. Especially today I was very busy with work. I need energy intake.

And so, I turned my way to the pantry. At the doorway, I passed by an office girl with the name Neneng listed on the name tag.

Neneng's eyes glared at me as if he had just seen a ghost. I looked back at him very coldly.

“T-Tuan Raka,” said Neneng trembling.

“Go!” my orders are obeyed directly by him.

As soon as Neneng went running, I realized that I had just seen Neneng seem to put something on the coffee cup on the table.

I approached, examining the coffee from its viscosity and aroma. Coffee looks ordinary.

“What did he just input?” I muttered wondering to myself.

I stirred up the coffee, and there was nothing strange. So that I rejected the negative thoughts that lay in my mind.

It's possible that Neneng added sugar or something.

“Raka, what are you doing? Tumben you to pantry?” ask for a voice from someone I miss.

I looked up to look at her pretty face, then approached Raya and put a kiss on her forehead.

“I miss you, Honey.”

The girl looks awkward. It's like that if I steal the chance to make out in the office.

My suspicion of Neneng's strange behavior was forgotten by Raya. I asked where the girl was in Mr. Balin's room.

Long story short, after I got a kiss from Raya, I headed to the meeting room ready to face the tasks and work that piled up.

Before long, Raya also entered the meeting room while carrying a cup of coffee for Mr. Balin. However, strangely Raya suddenly silently stared.

“Raya, please put the coffee on the table,” orders Mr. Balin as not heard by Raya.

“What's with the girl?” whispered the co-worker sitting next to me.

Several times he looked at me and Mr. Balin alternately. Then I realized what was becoming of great uneasiness, as soon as I saw him gulping down the coffee Mr. Balin had intended.

“It is not polite that he drinks Mr. Balin's coffee,” muttered the other meeting participants.

“Iya, shameless.”

Some people booed Raya, but not with me. Because I know Raya is sacrificing herself.

Looks like Raya knew the coffee had been put on something.

Me and Mr. Balin both ran to catch the body of the Kingdom that was about to fall. However, I lost quickly to Mr. Balin.

He captured Raya's body perfectly, then ordered Mr. Nakula to drive her to the hospital.

“I will also take you to the hospital, Sir,” I offer myself.

“No! You are here to lead the meeting!“

I'm disappointed in myself. I couldn't do anything when my beloved was in pain, and here I am now.

Sitting pensively in place of Mr. Balin.

I can't focus on the meeting this time, because my mind is constantly fixed on the state of Raya. I want the meeting to end soon, so that I can meet Raya.

“I'm sorry, Raya. It's all my fault,” I muttered without anyone hearing.

If only I had told him about Neneng's strange behavior after pouring something on Mr. Balin's drink, it wouldn't have been like this.

I massaged my throbbing forehead. I told Raya about Beni's confession.

So for sure now Raya thinks I'm the one who put poison into Mr. Balin's coffee. Maybe Raya thinks I hold a grudge against Mr. Balin.

Now the problem is getting worse.

The Raka POV End

Neneng walked over quickly with an unbecoming feeling. Then he turned into a woman's toilet. There was Mae there waiting for him.

Neneng pulled Mae's arm and whispered in her friend's ear.

She had heard that Raya was rushed from the hospital after drinking coffee that was supposed to be for Balin.

“Mae, you said, the powder is just refined sugar, but why did Raya faint?” asked Neneng in her innocent style yet to understand what had happened.

Mae smiled broadly.

“That you put into a coffee cup is poison, not refined sugar,” Mae said.

Suddenly Neneng's eyes widened in shock. Neneng's heart trembled violently, as well as his entire body.

He wouldn't have expected Mae to be that cruel.

Putting poison into a drink with work at stake, and risk taking a person's life.

“Aduh, Mae, your tea is outrageous. Hoyong was doomed,” said Neneng warned like an ustadzah.

Mae attached an index finger to Neneng's lips for the village girl to fall silent.

“You just shut up. We're safe as long as no one sees.”

Mae's words made Neneng stiffen. Instantly he realized, that he had crossed paths with Raka's secretary after mixing poison powder.

“Aduh, urgent, danger,” squealing Neneng.

“Why, Neng? What's wrong?”

“So tea Secretary Raka seems to see Neneng.”

“Aduh, Sheneng. You how the hell? If our secret is exposed, it's your fault. Don't bring my name!”

Neneng was shaking violently. Neneng's pale face imagined himself being kicked out of work. As for Mae, looking intently at the plain girl.

Mae threatens to deploy her premiership friends if Neneng carries Mae's name in the case of poisonous coffee Raya drinks.

Neneng stared at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. Not only will he bear the shame but also his family in the village.

“Mae, Neneng thought you were a friend tea, it turns piercing from behind,” muttered Neneng.
