The Sacrifice of Nayra

Decision (Part 1)

Aditya still clutched Nayra's body tightly.

"Let me hold you for a second, Nay! I miss you so much. Don't you miss me?"

"I beg you to let me go!" Nayra shouted while struggling to escape.

Finally Aditya let go of his embrace.

"Sorry Nay, I can't help myself.."

"I know you still love me Nay. That's why you came to see me. Isn't that Nay?"

"Aditha!"

Suddenly there was a voice of a man calling Aditya's name. Nayra and Aditya were surprised because they recognized the voice so well. They also looked towards the source of the sound. Rama was not far from them.

"Sir Rama??" aditya.

"Mas Rama's.." There was fear implied on Nayra's face.

Rama walked over to the two of them. Both hands were put in his pants pocket. His steps came to a halt as he was right in front of Aditya. They look at each other. Suddenly a sweet grin was engraved on Rama's lips.

"Aditya. I love hearing your singing"

Nayra was astonished by Rama's facial expression. He thought Rama would be furious at him and Aditya. But the truth is the opposite.

"So Mr Rama has been here since?"

"I deliberately drove Nayra to see you.."

"Aditya, I know everything. Nayra told me everything about your relationship in the past"

Aditya was surprised to hear Rama's words. He turned his eyes towards Nayra.

"Adity.. Now you come to my house! I want to talk to you both about something important"

"Speak what Mas?" Nayra's curious.

"Later you will know too. Let's go home first. It's not good to talk here"

"Come Aditya!"

Without taking out a word, Aditya walked following Rama and Nayra from behind. Rama and Nayra get in the car, while Aditya rides his sport bike.

A few minutes later they arrived at Rama's house. Rama also let Aditya into the house and then let him sit in the guest chair. Nayra was sitting a little far away from Aditya. Rama stood before them both.

"What do you really want to talk about?" Nayra was curious.

"Nayras.. Aditya..I wanted to apologize to you both because I have been present between you.."

"Inadvertently, I have become a barrier to your love. Because I did not know that before I married me, it turns out Nayra already had a boyfriend. If only I had known, I would not have agreed to marry her.."

"Nayra is a good girl. He has made a sacrifice. She was willing to sacrifice her own youth, love and happiness to marry me and be a mother-to-be for my daughter in order to fulfill her sister Aisha's will.."

"Nayra has been a good mother to my daughter. But I did not appreciate her in the least as my wife.I ignored her because I loved Aisha too much. I feel like no one else can take Aisha's place in my heart. And I didn't realize that all this time I had hurt Nayra's heart and made her life suffer by my side.."

"But ever since he left me a while ago, I've felt so lost. I just realized I really need it. So is my daughter. He kept looking for his mother. Until he finally got sick"

"Then I decided to pick Nayra up and apologize to her. I asked him one more chance to correct all my mistakes during this time. And thank God he gave me that chance"

"Suddenly now you appear again in Nayra's life.. I know you love Nayra very much. And maybe your love is bigger than my love for her. Because from the beginning until now you still love him even though you know he has left you without news and he has betrayed you by marrying another man.."

"I am deeply moved to see the sincerity of your love Aditya.. And I feel so guilty for you both. So now I want to give both of you a chance.."

Nayra and Aditya are shocked to hear Rama's words.

"What do you mean, Mum?"

"Nayra, I'm willing to let you go if you want to get back with Aditya, your first love. I'm sorry I've been blocking your happiness all this time.."

Nayra rounded her eyes. Nayra seemed to not believe what she had just heard. Rama continued his words, too,

"Nayra, if you make a decision based on Aisha's will. Make a decision based on your heart.. Ask your heart, maybe until now you still love Aditya. I will accept whatever your decision is.."

"And about Kyara, you don't have to worry. I'm sure someday he'll understand"

Without notice there are grains of clear water that fell from the eye of Nayra. Nayra really did not expect Rama to say all that to her...
