Chapter 42

For the top 7 round, the finalists who qualify must change clothes using jumpsuit. The committee only determines the type of dress but they release the model and what color the finalist will wear.

Nanda is taking off her dress. Almira already holds a formal jumpsuit made of light blue with asymmetrical body pieces that show her smooth shoulders and chest with hemispheres in both pants that are only half as high as calves. This jumpsuit is a famous brand of clothing from France. Nanda got this while on vacation to Paris with his family.

Now Nanda's hair is strung back and given a pearl-shaped pinch so that his hair remains neat and does not shift everywhere. Zahra replaced Nanda's lipstick with a softer color. To make it look fresher. The two girls took Nanda out of the dressing room.

There was a committee waiting with the other finalists. The committee will explain some of the things they have to do on stage later.

"When you go on stage, the seven of you first do the catwalk as usual. Then you march on the wings of the stage. Alternately, you will do a speech. But before that on the LED screen will be displayed three themes that you already know but later we will randomize the three themes. And you will speak according to the chosen theme. Lastly, it was Nanda's turn to advance. He stepped into the center of the stage. The MC gave a warning to start shuffling the theme on the LED screen and then a few seconds later said stop. And the theme of speech that must be done by Nanda.

Nanda's eyes widened with a wrinkled forehead. He was surprised when he got a different theme himself from the previous six finalists. Even this theme had never been told by the committee before. Nanda was silent for a moment in his confusion.

While Zahra and Almira seem surprised when watching through the TV screen when Nanda gets a different theme.

"Kok Nanda got a different speech theme himself anyway?" chirp Zahra with annoyance.

Not only the two of them, the friends who were watching were confused as well. But it's different with Ria and Jeje. The two of them looked delighted as they looked at the puzzled expression seen from their faces.

On the stage, Sindi smiled with satisfaction. Silence enveloped the atmosphere as Nanda was silent in a thousand languages.

"Syainanda, if in the count of five you do not do speech then you are considered directly not to qualify for the top three stage" said MC.

Nanda turned her head towards the MC after the man said his words.

"Why does Nanda look confused?" ask Dafa who has been watching Nanda ever since.

Rasain you Nanda. Who do you think you can challenge to defeat me? I won't let you get away with it easily, Inner Sindi.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

"Four."

"Li..."

"Feminism..." Nanda interrupts when the MC will do the last count. That's the theme Nanda got. A theme that the committee had never told before.

Nanda turned back to face forward and revealed an expression that was so confident and steady and started to spit out sentences from his mouth.

Nanda moved the mic away from her mouth as a sign of the end of her speech. Everyone applauded so hard to hear his speech that was so loud and awesome. Sindi gaped in disbelief if Nanda could so smoothly speak in urgent situations though.

Nanda returned to his place. He caught a glimpse of the surprised expression of Sindi. Nanda replied with a haughty look and a cynical smile.

The jury immediately deliberated who the finalists were to advance to the top three. It took five minutes until the chairman of the committee took to the stage with an envelope and gave it to the MC.

"In my hands there are already three names of finalists who advanced the third big. The jury assessed them when they saw the profile video of the finalists. Understand their vision of mission if chosen to be the winner. And plus the speech performances of the finalists are really amazing" said MC.

"The first finalist to pass the third great is..." MC hung up his sentence and followed by the sound of instruments supporting the tense atmosphere in the room.

Anisa came forward and saluted the jury and stood on the right side of the stage center.

"The second "finalist is...Sindi" shouted the MC who was stirred by the sound of Sindi's supporters shouting.

"The last final finalist is..."

Langga and Nendra clenched their hands together while talking so funny hope Nanda's name was called.

Nanda came forward doing the same as Anisa. Then stand next to Sindi again. The finalists who did not escape immediately got off the stage. While the three of them took turns doing the catwalk before finally getting off the stage. And go back to the dressing room to change into a costume wearing a dress.
