The Return of the Sword God

The Return of the Sword God
42 – Element Improvement

Forging Association, inside the Forging Room.

Shi Feng took out a pile of Stones, putting them on the table.

A stack of Stones had a total of a hundred pieces. They immediately filled the round table; some even fell to the ground.

“It's time to see how good you really are,” Shi Feng smiled as he picked up the dark red Philosopher's Stone.

If the Philosopher's Stone were to be seen by others, the consequences Shi Feng would face would be enormous. Hence, Shi Feng rented the Forging Room. Without his permission, no one could enter the room.

Shi Feng took out a piece of Stone from the table and used the Philosopher's Stone on it.

System: Do you want to use the Philosopher's Stone for Element Purification?

Shi Feng immediately chose 'Yes.' After which, the Philosopher's Stone began to emit a faint red glow; a mysterious power flowed into the Stone.

The peng!

The fist-sized stone suddenly turned into yellow sand, scattering to the ground. The result is failure.

However, Shi Feng revealed a calm smile seeing the results. It doesn't bother him one bit. After that, he took another Stone and tried again.

Ores are precious. Normal Copper Ores sold for 2 Copper; they were only worth 1 Copper Coin if sold to an NPC. A stack of 100 Copper Ores could sell for 200 Copper Coins to a Guild, and they would still fight over it. Compared to a pile of Stones that only sold for 10 Copper Coins, Copper Ore was simply too expensive.

Element Refinement extracting Metal Element from Stone. However, some Stones do not have any Metal Element. So, it was only natural that they switched to sand. Such failures are all too common.

Peng... Peng... Peng...

There was still no ore after ten consecutive experiments. Shi Feng started to experience depression. The success rate is too low.

Shi Feng even began to suspect that these Stones were taken from the desert to produce all the yellow sand.

“Quiet, relaxing. There are still many stones left.” Shi Feng took a deep breath, reassuring himself.

He took out another piece of Stone, trying the Elemental Refinement once more.

The peng!

This time, the stone was still scattered into a pile of sand. But in the middle of the yellow grains there is a piece of metal that sparkles purple red. It was a Copper Ore.

With the first piece of Copper Ore in his hand, Shi Feng let out a leisurely sigh. His hands started moving faster.

All of the Stone on the stone table turned into yellow sand in a moment. The Stone Piles have produced a total of 23 pieces of Copper Ore and 2 pieces of Bronze Ore. Compared to Copper Ore, Bronze Ore prices were three times that of Copper Ore; they were worth 3 Copper Coins when sold to NPCs. Due to the rarity of Bronze Ore, players would buy it at the price of 7 Copper Coins per piece.

Looking at the ore on the table, Shi Feng felt the Philosopher's Stone was truly a gold mine. Even if the current Philosopher's Stone was broken, it was still out of the ordinary. It was no wonder why many kingdoms were willing to deploy their troops and fight for the Philosopher's Stone. Having the Philosopher's Stone in hand was the same as having an abundant treasury. At that time, a kingdom would be difficult not to prosper.

Shi Feng stored the ore on the table and took out another pile of Stones.

Piles upon piles of stones disappeared, whereas the amount of yellow sand had piled up into a small hill. Fortunately, the Forging Room could be cleared of trash with just a click of a button. After pressing the Clean button, the small dune of yellow sand disappeared from view.

After spending an hour, Shi Feng had refined 40 stacks of Stones. He had obtained more than 7 stacks of Copper Ore and slightly more than 1 pile of Bronze Ore. Its value would be over 20 Silver Coins if Shi Feng sold it. While the cost to obtain the ore was only four Silver Coins. The difference is five times the price. That's an absolute advantage.

Most importantly, those ores dropped in very small quantities, making it impossible to buy them in bulk.

Shi Feng received a System Notification as he left the Forging Room.

System: The Dark Star Shoes you placed in the Auction House have been sold. After deducting the cost of the procedure, 3 Silver 21 Copper has been placed in your bag.

......

A series of notifications from the Auction House made Shi Fengs lips smile.

“As expected, the greater the competition, the higher the price” Shi Feng was very satisfied with the number of items sold. He had never imagined that the Mysterious-Iron Plate Armor for the Shield Warrior could actually be sold for over 30 Silver Coins. There seemed to be many wealthy people in the White River City's sphere of influence.

After selling the equipment, Shi Feng suddenly became a wealthy tycoon. With over 50 Silver Coins in his pocket, even his confidence was different now.

Right now, players would still be happy if they had twenty to thirty Copper Coins on them. Shi Feng already had over 50 Silver Coins. Including the Silver Coins that Gentle Debt had given him, if Shi Feng immediately sold the Copper Ore he had, he would instantly become rich in gold.

However, he would not sell his ore. These ores were the basis for Shi Feng to make a lot of money.

Following which, Shi Feng rented the Forging Room for another hour. He turned the rest of the Stone into ore. His luck this time was better. Out of 45 stacks of Stone, he obtained 10 stacks of Copper Ore and 2 stacks of Bronze Ore.

With this, Shi Feng had a total of 17 stacks of Copper Ore and 3 stacks of Bronze Ore. It would take quite a while before Shi Feng could use all of them.

With the money in hand now, Shi Feng once again arrived at the central area of the Forging Association, in the administrative area. Currently, there were several Forger players, who were groomed by Guilds, renting Forging Rooms.

“This is really evil. It actually costs 5 Copper for an hour. My Guild has just given me 30 Copper. That's not enough at all.”

“It's already considered good. At least all the equipment is there. Look at the Forging equipment. Even the most common ones require some Silver. A whole set would cost over 30 Silver Coins! It was just a blatant scam!”

“You still haven't seen the Intermediate Forging Room. It costs one Silver per hour, but the room only increases your success rate by 3%. Even a first-rate Guild would not be able to handle such a price.”

Some Forgers were constantly complaining. They deeply hated the price set by the Forging Association. However, there was also a bragging tone in their voices. After all, they had the support of their Guilds, whereas normal players could not even rent a Forging Room, let alone raise their Forging Levels.

Shi Feng circled these players, walking towards the Association manager, saying, “I want to rent an Intermediate Level Forging Room.”

“Can I know how long you want to rent it?” The pale youth who was the manager of the Association asked excitedly.

Today, the majority of adventurers are poor people. Each of them had only rented a Basic Forging Room, and after all, they had rented reluctantly. Thus, a huge change occurred in the attitude of serving the manager when he could see a wealthy adventurer like Shi Feng.

Looking at the time, it was still morning in the real world. When using the Virtual Game Helmet, one could not last too long within the Gods Territory.

“Two hours then.” Shi Feng said after thinking for some time.

“Alright, here's your key. That would be a total of 2 Silver Coins.” The manager handed the key to Shi Feng with a smile.

Shi Feng took out two shiny Silver Coins, placed them on the table and turned to leave.

The players who had previously discussed the Forging Association's cunning were all dumbfounded. They even thought they were hallucinating. However, it was indeed a Silver Coin on the table, and not a red yellow Copper Coin.

“Sial, a tycoon!” A male Elementalist said with envy.

“Brother Tycoon, Younger Sister knows how to warm the bed.” Another beautiful and flirtatious female player winked at Shi Feng, flattering him.

“Isn't it just dirty money? I will definitely be an Intermediate Forging Apprentice one step ahead of him, ” said a male Priest in a sour tone, even though he knew it was impossible. The facilities of the Intermediate Forging Room were much better than the Basic Room. On the surface, the room itself only increased the forging success rate by 3%. However, including the amenities included with the room, its success rate increased by at least 5%.

For a Forger, a difference of 5% success rate was like the difference between heaven and earth.
