Red Leaf Town, Fountain Plaza.
The entire square was dyed deep red due to the sunset. There were quite a number of Lifestyle players[1] who set up eateries and sold unique snacks in Gods Domain.
This snack tasted delicious, and was much tastier than the real-life delicacies. And also, the selling price was only 2 or 3 Copper. Really cheap.
Many players had come here to rest and taste the delicacy of Gods Domain after a hard day of fighting. After all, they would only be able to obtain tens of Copper in a single day, and after deducting the expenses incurred, they would only have ten fewer Copper. So, giving them a gift should not be a problem.
There were several couples sitting on stone benches while chatting. They eat the food they buy while enjoying a pleasant time.
Suddenly, every player in Red Leaf Town received a System Announcement.
System: A player has triggered a special storyline. 'The 'Little Fish-Man Rebellion' had been activated. The Expeditionary Quest had been activated in Red Leaf Town. Players could now receive Expeditionary Quests from Adventurers Guilds. Completing an Expeditionary Quest would reward players with plentiful rewards and Guild Reputation.
All the players were shocked. In Red Leaf Town, a place where Quests were extremely rare, there was actually an Expeditionary Quest. Moreover, the rewards were huge. It's really unimaginable.
“Who are the amazing people who actually triggered the special storyline?”
The player who achieved this feat attracted the attention of every player in Red Leaf Town. Everyone was wondering what great rewards this player earned for activating the storyline. After all, activating the storyline was definitely a rare occurrence. So how can the rewards be a little?
Quite a lot of players are starting to have their own evil thoughts. They wanted to kill the player who activated the Quest storyline. Unfortunately, the System Announcement did not reveal the player's name. Compared to average players, the various large Guilds were in a state of chaos. At this stage of the game, other than completing a Dungeon, not a single Quest was able to increase a Guild Reputation.
A Guild needed a Guild Reputation to level up. As long as their Guild could reach Level 2 a step earlier, they would be able to obtain the benefits of a suitable Guild, thus creating a huge advantage over other Guilds.
Currently, the other Cities around the Scarlet River also received the same System Announcement; not just Red Leaf Town. All the large Guilds began to strategize their crusade plan against the Little Fishman.
Meanwhile, Shi Feng, who was the cause of all this commotion, was currently sitting inside the Auction House.
The auction house was a very comfortable place. The items auctioned by players were not only limited to Red Leaf Town; they could be seen and purchased in hundreds of Towns and Small Towns under the influence of White River City. However, the Auction House was very cunning. They charge a handling fee of 5% for all items auctioned, so items there are usually very expensive.
However, the Auction House was undoubtedly the best place for players to sell certain items anonymously. Also, it had been quite a while since Gods Domain had begun. The players had collected quite a lot of Coins, and large Guilds should have already raised a lot of funds. If Shi Feng set up a stall in Red Leaf Town, not only would he attract attention, he might as well be targeted by people like Flaming Tiger.
More importantly, the reason Shi Feng chose the Auction House was because too few players in Red Leaf Town could afford the items he planned to sell. However, another story if there are hundreds of Cities competing for it.
Hence, Shi Feng placed the Mysterious-Iron Plate Armor in the Auction House, setting its base price at 25 Silver Coins. Then, he placed five pieces of Bronze Equipment, with the base price of Plate Armor at 3 Silver Coins, and the others at 2 Silver Coins. As for a Level 10 Pure Gold Great Sword, the auction results would be too terrifying to imagine. This weapon was at least worth 2 Gold Coins, which was equivalent to 200 Silver Coins. Right now, even 1 Silver Coin was extremely valuable; so who could afford the weapon?
Following which, Shi Feng searched his bag through the half-transparent screen. Initially the player is awarded a bag that has 100 slots. However, it was still far from enough for Shi Feng. Each player can complete a maximum of seven bags. So, Shi Feng immediately bought the six largest bags available at the moment. Each bag had 25 slots, and each sold for 40 Copper Coins. Six bags means 240 Copper Coins. Such an amount was clearly unattainable to normal players, but it was only a small amount to Shi Feng.
Shi Fengs storage space multiplied after completing six bags. Following which, Shi Feng left the Auction House and set up a stall not far from him. He had absolutely no interest in the Storyline Quest he had triggered.
He won't fight for rewards with the others. He was already full; so it was only natural that the others had leftovers.
“Buying Essence and Magic Stones in bulk. A stack [2] Magic Essence for 6 Copper; a stack of Stone for 10 Copper.” Shi Feng shouted out loudly.
However, there were still many players who did not know how to deal with this material. They usually sold these materials to NPCs at low prices. A stack of 20 bottles of Magic Essence sold for 5 Copper, and a pile of 100 Stones sold for 9 Copper. Shi Feng bought it at a price of 1 Copper Coin higher, so there were quite a number of players willing to sell his materials to him. Additional Copper per stack will still generate considerable revenue.
Magic Essence was one of the materials needed to make the Garrison Armor. In addition, it also requires Copper Ore and Bronze Ore in large quantities. These ores were almost unavailable, and all the large Guilds bought them in bulk. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to contact them.
Shi Feng also originally planned to grind the ore. However, now that he had the Philosopher's Stone, iron ore was no longer a problem. Philosopher's Stone can do Elemental Purification. That means it can purify the Stone. There was a great opportunity to obtain ores, even rare ores. There was absolutely no need for Shi Feng to work on it personally; he could afford it at a very low price. Because of this, tens of thousands of players had effectively become Shi Fengs workers.
Very quickly, a large group of players gathered in front of Shi Feng.
“Sister, I have 6 stacks of Magic Essence here. Will you take it?”
“I have 3 stacks of Stones; do you want them?"
Many players began to ask Shi Feng, worried that his bag would fill up. After all, they had too many Essences and Magic Stones. No player would buy the materials. However, it was a pity to only sell them to NPCs, so the materials only stayed inside their bags.
“I'll take everything. Exchange it, ” Shi Feng said.
Previously, Shi Feng had accumulated quite a fortune. Including his transaction with Gentle Snow, he had quite a lot of Coins. Shi Feng could definitely purchase Essences and Magic Stones in bulk.
A player sold three stacks of Magic Essence here... A player sold five stacks of Stones there... In a moment, Shi Feng had obtained 60 stacks of Magic Essence and 85 stacks of Stones. The money left in his pocket was now less than 10 Copper.
“Sorry, but I am full,” Shi Feng packed his stall after explaining.
Suddenly, the faces of the many remaining players who had come to sell their Magic Essence and Stone were filled with disappointment.
“Sister, will you still buy it in the future?” A player asked.
"I'll be. However, it still takes some time before I buy it. You can all save it for now.” Shi Feng said firmly. The amount of Magic Essences and Stones Shi Feng had just purchased was far from enough for him to become an Advanced Forging Apprentice[3].
After leaving the business street, Shi Feng arrived at the Forging Association. He paid 5 Coppers to rent a Basic Forging Room for one hour.
Inside the Basic Forging Room, all the equipment needed for forging had been provided; players did not need to purchase their own equipment. The Intermediate Level Forging Room was much better; it could increase the Forging success rate by 3%. However, it would cost 1 Silver per hour to use the room. As for the Advanced Forging Room, it was not available in a small Town. They are only available in the city. However, the price is astounding.
TL Note:
[1]Lifestyle Players: Players who focus on their Additional Work are Forgers, Alchemists/Makers of Potions, etc.
[2] stack: This is a game term used to refer to a group of identical items that will only take up one space/slot in the player's bag. The item stack had a maximum limit on the number of items it could hold in a single slot, that is, the full stack of Magic Essence had 20 bottles of items. If the player had 21 bottles of Magic Essence, a second stack would be made in the player's bag.
[3] Advanced Forging Interns: Forgers can be differentiated into several stages, namely Forging Apprenticeship -> Forging -> Forging Master -> Forging Grandmaster. These stages are then differentiated again into three different levels, Basic -> Intermediate -> Advanced
