The Return of the Sword God

The Return of the Sword God
Sherlock's Request

To accommodate most players, Gods Domain could be played while sleeping. In addition, the time in the game is different from the reality, where two hours in the game is equal to one hour in the real world.

Each day in the game consists of forty-eight hours, consisting of thirty hours of daylight and eighteen hours of night.

Not only that, in order for most of the working class to enjoy the game, night time, in fact, was day time in the game.

Shi Feng passed through the colorful tunnel as soon as he arrived in Gods Domain, arriving at a solemn place. Golden Temple.

The female angel with four pairs of wings flew towards Shi Feng. He was only the size of a palm.

"Hello Adventurer, welcome to Gods Domain. I'm the Navigation Angel, Gabriel. I'll introduce you to four main categories and twelve main jobs. Please choose the job you like best."

With a small wave of Gabriel's hand, an illustration introducing the twelve main jobs appeared in front of Shi Feng.

These twelve jobs were categorized into four main classes.

Soldiers: Shield Warrior, Guard Knight, Berserker.

Weapon Specialist: Swordsman, Killer, Forest Guard.

Healers: Clerics, Druids, Oracle.

Magician: Elementalist, Summoner, Cursemancer.

Warriors specialize in defending against monsters; weapons specialists who focus on the results of physical damage; healers focus on healing; witches focus on the output of magical damage. Each job had its own fighting style, which was one of the main selling points of Gods Domain.

In his previous life, Shi Feng chose the Swordsman under the Weapon Specialist and he was even known as the Sword Witch.

Shi Feng had already invested too much in the Swordsman's work, so naturally, he would not choose another job. He chose the Swordsman class he knew without hesitation.

"The job selection is complete. Please specify a name for your character."

"You Feng."

Shi Feng chose the same name he had in his previous life.

"Naming succeeded. Do you want to customize your appearance? Adjustment rate limited to 15%."

Thinking about it for a while, Shi Feng chose to adjust his character's appearance by 15% so as not to stand out. With this, no one would be able to recognize Shi Feng if they saw his character, although not as handsome as the original.

"Please choose a birthplace in Star-Moon Kingdom."

A map displaying dozens of cities belonging to Star-Moon Kingdom appeared in front of Shi Feng.

The opening of Gods Domain was synchronized globally. To accommodate hundreds of millions of players, the territory of Gods Domain was extremely vast, measuring up to two or three times the size of Earth, and the kingdoms within it were even more numerous. However, the player's territory and city of residence, in fact, determine the country in which they will start, so players can only choose the city within the country.

“White River City.”

Shi Feng did not plan on choosing another city, so he chose the White River City he was most familiar with.

White River City was the fifth rank city of the Moon Star Kingdom. It was an important city in the north of Star-Moon Kingdom. There were several Workshops that chose to expand there to avoid any infighting between large Guilds.

"City confirmed. Players would arrive at Red Leaf Town in White River City in three seconds. Hope you're happy to play the game."

The sight before Shi Feng immediately blurred as he was expelled.

Red Leaf Town, the buildings arranged in a chaotic manner there has a style similar to medieval. NPCs filled the crowded streets, making them feel as if they were in another world.

Shi Feng arrived in front of a church, his new appearance resembling a penniless Swordsman. He was currently wearing a gray-colored Starter Skin Armor and on his waist hung the Beginner Sword.

"In the end, I still ended up in Red Leaf Town." Shi Feng smiled faintly as he looked at the familiar landscape of the small town, confidence appearing within him.

At that moment, many players began to roam around the city, talking to NPCs in hopes of obtaining a trail for a Quest. There were also some players who exited the village, going into the wilderness to kill monsters. Each of them carried out their duties as if their lives depended on it and inevitably they hoped to divide their time in two.

Shi Feng paid no attention to the other players. With a slight wave and a touch of his finger, the player's Attribute Panel appeared before him.

Inside his bag were ten pieces of Bread and ten bags of Water. Eating Bread will recover 10 HP per second while drinking Water will recover 10 MP per second, and both effects last for ten seconds.

Each Swordsman started with the same Attributes, the only difference being the allocation of Free Attribute Points.

Each player can earn 4 Free Attribute Points with each Level increase. With each Level raise, the different ways players used these points would result in their own unique style.

Strength increases Physical Attack Power and the weight behind each attack. Agility increases Attack Speed and Movement Speed. Endurance increases HP and maximum stamina. Intelligence increases Magical Attack Power and maximum MP and Vitality increases MP and HP recovery rates. Each Job emphasizes on a different Attribute.

Since Swordsman was included in Jobs' physical damage, most people would prioritize Strength. In his previous life, Shi Feng had also made such a choice, adding 2 points on Strength, one point on Endurance, and one point on Agility for each Level. It was a very ordinary and common choice.

However, Shi Feng did not plan on doing that in this life.

Without hesitation, Shi Feng clicked on the plus sign (+) for Agility, placing all four Free Attribute Points into it. Shi Fengs Agility increased to 7 points; his Attack Speed changed to 4 and Movement Speed to 4.

This point allocation method was something that even Assassins would not do, who were widely known for their high Agility. They would prioritize Strength first, as more damage meant it was easier to level up.

Unfortunately, Shi Feng did not think that way.

For melee Jobs, Agility was the best choice at the early stages of Gods Domain. This was kept secret, and was only discovered a few weeks after the opening of Gods Domain. When it was finally known, many melee players could not help but hit their chests with regret.

After adding Attribute Points, Shi Feng looked at his surroundings.

Only a moment passed before a large group of players were sent here. A green symbol like a rhombus belonging to the player filled the air of the central square, blocking the yellow symbol belonging to the NPC. Such a situation made searching for NPCs an even greater challenge.

On! On! On!

Shi Fengs voice communication rang, the name of the caller indicating Black Cloud. It was a call from Blackie.

"Brother Feng, I chose the Cursemancer and was sent to Falling Moon City. Where are you?" Now that he had entered the God Region, Blackie was extremely excited, wanting to immediately begin his journey.

“I'm in Red Leaf Town, not far from Falling Moon City. I'll help you level up, so come to Red Leaf Town.” Shi Feng said.

"Brother Feng, you must have gone mad. Do you know how far Falling Moon City is from Red Leaf Village? The map says it took me seven hours to get there. I'd be far behind all the other players." if I went there. We should level up on our own and meet in White River City after reaching Level 10." Blackie almost coughed up blood from anger. Earning 16,000 Credits in ten days was already madness. Rather than leveling up frantically after entering Gods Domain, he was instead asked to waste seven hours? He would not do that, even though he was beaten to death.

"Don't worry. You better just come. You'll get back the time you wasted so quickly." Shi Feng said flatly.

When Blackie heard Shi Fengs confident tone, he asked excitedly, "Brother Feng, could it be that you have the information of a Beta Examiner?"

Gods Domain had invited some people to test the game before it opened and these people were called Beta Testers. These Beta Testers could obtain information directly about Gods Domain and, despite the changes to the game, Beta Testers would definitely know more than ordinary players.

"What do you think? Come quickly." Shi Feng replied in a mysterious tone while laughing.

Hearing Shi Fengs words, Blackie knew Shi Feng had reliable information, and he felt excited, then said, "Alright, wait for me, Brother Feng; I'll go there right now."

Ending Blackie's call, Shi Feng walked towards the small, dark alley in the city.

There were hundreds of NPCs in Red Leaf Town. However, the NPCs that gave the Quest only numbered in the tens, while Hidden Quest numbered five, and Unique Quest only numbered one. Unique quests were no longer available once completed by the player.

The Unique Quest in Red Leaf Town had only been discovered two months after the opening of the Gods Domain and the last time it caused a sensation throughout White River City. Since this Quest was unique, lucky players revealed methods to obtain it, thus envying many players. Unfortunately for them, the Quest was no longer available, even though they wanted to do so.

Of course, Shi Feng would not allow this Unique Quest to pass in this life.

Shi Feng arrived at a dark alley filled with beggars in tattered clothes. The beggars were like wolves discovering fresh meat when they saw Shi Feng walking over, quickly surrounding him as they asked for food.

There was once a player who gave a lot of food to this beggar. These beggars will ask for goods after they are full and they will ask for more expensive items afterwards. Players had agreed to all of their requests, successively fulfilling over ten of their wishes. Unfortunately, the beggars did not give anything in return, causing the player to almost spout words, becoming a joke to others.

"God!"

Shi Feng shouted as he took out his Scouting Sword, causing the helpless beggars to immediately hide.

Shi Feng walked into a corner after the beggars dispersed; a homeless middle-aged man lay there. There was not much difference between the man and the other beggars, but if anything, it was the integrity of the man who was unyielding, as he was the only one who did not ask for food.

"Do you need help, sir?" Shi Feng officially asked the man.

“Can you give me food? It has been five days since I last ate,” replied the male beggar.

Shi Feng smiled faintly, seriously saying: “Unfortunately Sir, I cannot agree to your wishes.”

A normal person would probably vomit blood out of anger if he heard such a response. Yet this beggar only sighed, not saying another word.

“However, if you are willing to pay a reasonable price, I can give you the food you need.” Shi Feng said.

The beggar raised his head and looked at Shi Feng, his eyes carrying a hint of anticipation as he said, "If I had the money, I would definitely be willing to pay this fee, instead, but right now I have nothing. Even so, if you are willing to help me, I will pay you a reasonable price. Are you willing to help me?"

"May I ask what you want me to do?" Shi Feng asked.

The beggar said seriously, "Please help me kill the Mayor of Red Leaf Town, Cross."

Although Red Leaf Town was only a small town, the Mayor was still a Level 15 Elite. There were also Level 25 Guards on his side. Moreover, killing an NPC would result in an arrest. Killing the Mayor, no doubt, was an insane act and no player would believe this was a Quest, as this was no different from telling players to kill themselves. No one will approve that damned request.

"All right, I promise you." Shi Feng unhesitatingly agreed to it with a smile.

System: Unique Quest "Sherlock Request" accepted.

Quest Details: Kill Cross, Mayor of Red Leaf Town and bring the [Mayors Coat] back to Sherlock. Players must not exceed Level 10.

Shi Feng turned around and headed towards the City Hall, where the Mayor lived, after receiving the Quest.
