The Return of the Sword God

The Return of the Sword God
CHAPTER 36 - Gnome

After leaving the Deathly Forest, Shi Fengs entourage rushed towards the Dark Moon Valley without a break.

At the current stage of the game, many players had risen to Level 2. In addition to raiding Dungeons in the Deathly Forest, they would stay in Brook Hills to kill Level 2 Cheetah Cubs. Only a few experts would go to the Level 4 area, the Dark Moon Valley, to level up. However, along with the increase in player levels, it wasn't long before the Dark Moon Valley would be occupied.

After spending over half an hour returning to the Dark Moon Valley, the scenery they encountered was the same as Shi Feng had expected.

Some Elite groups who were not interested in Dungeons were currently killing Level 4 Kobolds roaming the outside of the valley. This Elite Party was quite skilled. They lured two or three monsters each time, with Shield warriors attacking in front and preventing the Kobolds from approaching their witches and healers. The healer continued to heal from behind, barely able to maintain the HP of the Shield Warrior.

Although it was exhausting to work on something in such a manner, the advantage of the fight was equally good. The three Kobolds had dropped 2 Copper and some stone materials.

In God's Domain, only Level 3 monsters and above would drop skill books and Bronze Equipment. Even though the odds were only ten thousand to one, it was still enough to make the players go on a wild chase. Currently, Bronze Equipment was extremely valuable; moreover skill books. With this inducement, there would be many experts who would perform, despite the dangers involved.

After glancing at it a few times, Shi Feng turned around and went towards the interior of the Dark Moon Valley.

The other party members who were new to the Dark Moon Valley were extremely nervous. Especially when they saw Level 4 monsters scattered throughout the area. Their breaths became a little rushed. However, Blackie was extremely calm when he saw this Level 4 Kobold. After all, he had previously killed hundreds of them. He did not seem panicked, unlike the other party members. He simply followed Shi Feng, entering the deeper region of the valley.

As for the Elite group, they were shocked when they saw Shi Fengs group enter deep into the valley. They had never imagined a newcomer party would have such courage.

Currently there were only a few players present in the Dark Moon Valley. The valley was not yet fully developed, so there were still many Kobolds in the middle of the valley. The deeper it went to the middle, the more number of Kobolds it had. There would even be groups consisting of ten Kobolds or more. Grinding monsters there is too dangerous. The lowest number of Kobolds they had to face was at least four or five. There is no point in risking an unwarranted death.

Unfortunately, these people did not know that Shi Feng was crazier than they had previously thought.

Shi Feng had not only entered the deeper region of the valley. Instead, he went towards the core of the Dark Moon Valley. There was a good location to grind monsters there. Not only was the number of his monsters numerous, but the level of his appearance was also fast. Most importantly, the rate of ore fall there was high.

Regarding comprehension, Shi Feng was like a local deity in the area when it came to the Dark Moon Valley. Be it the location of the monsters, the number of monsters available, or their respawn time, Shi Feng had spent countless hours researching in his previous life. His goal back then was to increase his party's grinding speed, all to increase his position within Shadow.

Life is amazing. Shi Fengs sacrifice to Shadow in his previous life at this moment had turned around to help himself. This could increase his party's level faster, and at the same time guarantee a steady supply of ore.

Moving along the path of the broken rocks, groups of four or five Level 4 Kobolds occasionally appeared. However, it was only a small matter with Shi Fengs party equipment.

Looking at the Guardian Knight of the party, Cola, be it with HP or Defense, he could easily withstand four Kobolds at the same time. Its healer, the Drowsy Sloth, can keep the Cola's HP above 80% without wasting much energy. If Cola let the monsters through, then Lonely Snow would go up and push him back. As for the others, they would deal damage in earnest. A simple sword attack from Shi Feng could already produce over a hundred damage, whereas Blackies Black Arrows could each produce 88 damage. The fight couldn't be easier than this.

Within moments, the five Kobolds had all been dealt with. Compared to the Elite group outside, Shi Fengs group was several times stronger.

Shi Feng simply picked up the falling stone and ore materials, then proceeded further into the Dark Moon Valley.

After spending over an hour to move forward, Shi Fengs entourage finally arrived in front of a mountain. The mountain was hundreds of meters high. The Kobolds no longer filled the area around the mountain; the wandering gnomes had replaced them. These Gnome Wanderers each held a small shovel in their hands, using it to dig into the rock walls of the mountain. There were also some Gnome Overseers who were inspecting the surrounding area with whips in hand.

“Brother Feng, the monsters here are too many. Are we really going to work hard here?”

Blackie's heart trembled slightly as he looked around. He found hundreds of Gnome Wanderers around the vast mountain. There were even some Level 5 Gnome Overseers. Compared to the group of over ten Kobolds outside, this place was truly a battlefield.

Cola also swallowed a mouthful of saliva, anxiously saying, “Party leader, I am not trying to boast, but holding back six or seven of them is my limit. I really can't handle this many monsters.”

Not just Blackie or Cola. Others are worried too. The Wandering Gnomes occupied the entire mountain, and these Gnomes were very close to each other. As long as they made a mistake while luring, then they would have to face off against hundreds of Level 4 monsters. Monsters in large numbers were much more terrifying than Lord ranked Felt.

“I know you guys can't fend off everything. However, who ever said about letting one of you hold back hundreds of Gnomes?” Shi Feng rolled his eyes towards his party members. He was very clear about the party's standards. Facing ten Gnomes at the same time had almost reached its limit, so how could they face hundreds of Gnomes at the same time?

Even Level 10 players would end up meeting hundreds of Level 4 monsters.

Shi Fengs Agility had reached 30 points. Including the Bronze Shoes he had, his Movement Speed had surpassed the Wandering Gnome by at least 4 points. He could easily blow away the Gnomes and let Blackie use the AOE skill, Hell Flame. The efficiency of grinding in such a way was several times greater than killing individually.

Following which, Shi Feng informed everyone of his plans. He needed Blackie to get the timing right, maximizing the effects of Hell Flame. As for the others, they were responsible for eliminating the Gnomes with low HP.

When Shi Feng had chosen his position, he picked up a handful of stones and rushed towards the nearby Gnome Supervisor.

As Shi Feng neared a distance of 20 yards, the Overseer began to shout loudly. His screams attracted the attention of many Wandering Gnomes in the surroundings. Shi Feng waited for a moment, dodging the whip of the Gnome Overseer and letting the Gnome Wanderer continue to gather.

When about 30 Gnomes gathered, Shi Feng turned around and dashed in the opposite direction. After which, he threw a small stone that befell the other Gnome Overseers. The punched overseer shouted loudly, carrying over twenty of his brothers and rushing towards Shi Feng.

Within moments, Shi Feng had lured over sixty monsters. However, Shi Feng was not satisfied. He started circling the mountain while luring monsters, and within five minutes, there were hundreds of Gnome Wanderers and over ten Gnome Overseers chasing behind him with all their might.

Unfortunately for them, Shi Fengs equipment was simply too good. Its speed was 30% greater when compared to the Gnome. Including Shi Fengs incredible techniques and control over his body, he was able to play around with the Gnomes as he pleased.

“Blackie, prepare to cast,” Shi Feng reminded.

"All right." Blackie was excited. This was his first time using AOE magic, so he had no idea what effect it would have.

Next, Blackie's fingers began to signal in the air. A brilliant magical seal began to appear, forming a dazzling magic circle that gave off a peerless aura.

As Blackie shot out the last syllable, the land shook. Jade green flames shot into the sky, devouring the entire Gnome army. A field of damage of over a hundred had appeared. Within five seconds, every Gnome that chased Shi Feng received over two hundred damage, their remaining HP less than half.

However, the targets of these Gnomes had also changed. They no longer chased after Shi Feng, but rather Blackie.

Shi Feng suddenly stopped. He took out the Blades of Hell and rushed forward.

Thundering Flashes!

The Level 4 Thundering Flash not only had a low Cooldown, but its attack range also increased to 15 by 3 yards. It almost includes the entire Gnome army.

Three lightning strikes flew past the Gnome army, creating three damage of more than 120 points for each Gnome. The attack had consumed the entire remaining HP of the Gnomes. As for the remaining low HP, it was quickly restrained by Cola. Lonely Snow then rushed forward and used the Whirlwind Slash, finishing off the entire remaining Gnome.

Hundreds of Gnomes had been annihilated, leaving floors filled with items.

Meanwhile, everyone's experience improved greatly. EXP of over ten points appeared one after another, blinding everyone's eyes.

A hua! Blackie had risen to Level 3.

“This is too amazing!” Blackie roared in excitement.

"This is just the beginning. They will still reappear in a minute.” Shi Feng laughed, “Come quickly grab the drops.”

Suddenly, everyone started to get busy. Even with six people taking the drop, the loot of hundreds of Gnomes still required them to spend a lot of time doing so.

However, moments after they started collecting, a Gnome driving a giant robot suddenly appeared. Gnome's face was red. He immediately rushed towards Shi Fengs party with incomparable fury.

"Not good! It was a Danger Dwarf! Everything spreads!” Shi Feng shouted as he looked at the giant robot.
