The Primadona Malam

The Primadona Malam
Halim and Niram

Takbir continues to roar. Niram again grabbed the clock working on the nightstand. The time indicator stops at number 3. 15.

"Ah, soon the early azan.I should clean the house now, but Ghio still sleeps too," muttered Niram as he moved from the top of the bed.

Before going to the kitchen, Niram went to the bathroom to take ablution. His job is very dirty. But Niram knew God was forgiving. Whether all his practices are acceptable or not, only God has the right to determine.

Meanwhile, somewhere else.

Halim still continues to smoke her cigarette which is only a few inches away. Since this afternoon, Rayyan sulked because he had to celebrate Lebaran abroad again.

This, is the third year of Halim spread in the land of people. Since learning the truth about Niram, Halim decided to never return to his hometown.

Every year, Halim must find a reason to be conveyed to her brother. Fortunately, both Halimah and Hanafi, they never suspected Halim's decision to celebrate Lebaran abroad.

"Yes God ... Ram. Why are you putting uncle in this position?" grunts Halim was annoyed.

Still remembered Halim meeting with his nephew some time ago.

Halim, who panicked that Rayyan was bleeding after falling off her bike, immediately ran Rayyan to the hospital. Arriving at the hospital, the doctor immediately took Rayyan to the ER.

As Halim was waiting for her son beside the gurney, suddenly a nurse pushed the gurney over which lay an unconscious pregnant woman.

'It seems like we need to take action immediately. Please call the obstetrician," ask one of the doctors to take care of the nurse.

"Please save my friend, Doc," Yura asked as she clenched her hands together.

"Relax Yura, Niram will definitely be fine" said one nurse who knew them well.

Yes, the reckless attitude of Niram who always wanted to eliminate his son, made Yura have to go back and forth to the hospital to save both of them.

"Yes, Sus. Hopefully both of them can survive" said Niram.

"This time, what else is he doing?" ask the nurse.

"It seems, he took too much sleeping pills, Sus. I was wrong, for letting the drugs lie around" Yura regretted.

"Here you go, now you'd better pray. Hopefully, even this time, Niram and his son can escape death" the nurse replied.

Jem!

Inexplicably, Halim's heart was pierced by a sharp knife when he overheard their conversation. With all the courage, he tried to break the curtain that limited his son's room and the woman's room named Niram.

Halim's knees instantly felt limp at the face she had always longed for, lying unconscious. His heart rate rhymed quickly when he saw the changes in Niram's body.

"Ha-pregnant? Ni-niram is pregnant," murmured Halim, shrieked.

When Halim was confused. Suddenly Niram's gurney was pushed back outside the ER. To save the child and his mother, doctors decided to perform surgery as the birth of his son Niram.

Curiosity enveloped Halim. However, she could not follow the gurney because her son was also struggling in pain.

"Prophey, honey. In a moment, the stitches are done" said one of the nurses who was calming Rayyan.

Halim refocused on her son. Although in his mind, various questions arose about Niram who he had just seen.

After seeing his son finished being given treatment, Halim approached the nurse.

"Ah, no need, sir. The wound is not very deep. Just an outpatient. Later, after the stitches are dry, you can come back again for control and open the stitches," said the nurse.

"Alright, Sus. Can I bring my son home now?" Halim asked back.

"Of course, sir. Here's a prescription medication to ease the pain. You can redeem at the pharmacy" the nurse replied, handing over a piece of prescription paper to Halim.

Halim nodded. After receiving the prescription, Halim pushed the empty wheelchair. Afterwards, she sat her son in a wheelchair and pushed him out of the ER room.

When Halim pushes her son's wheelchair towards the pharmacy, Halim calls her best friend. He asks Sugistiawan to pick up Rayyan. Halim is still curious about what happened to the pregnant woman who is recognized as her nephew.

What the hell is going on with you, Ram? Why are you like this? inner Halim, still staying faithful pushing her son's wheelchair.

Half an hour later, Sugistiawan came to the hospital. He approached Halim who was daydreaming in the waiting chair in front of the pharmacy.

"Is the cure out?" ask Sugistiawan.

Sugistiawan's question surprised Halim. The man looked up and shook his head to answer Sugistiawan's question.

"Yes, let me wait for Rayyan. You go, finish your own business. Let you focus on Rayyan later," ordered Sugistiawan.

"Yes, Bang. Thank you" replied Halim.

After asking permission to go to his son, Halim said goodbye. He climbed upstairs to the action room.

Arriving in front of the corridor connecting him to the operating room, Halim's heart was pounding even more. From a distance, he had not seen a man in front of the operating room at all. There was only one woman walking around in front of the operating room door.

With a gontai move, Halim approached the woman.

"A-is the woman in surgery named Niram Kirana?" halim asked as soon as he arrived behind the woman.

Yura sontak. His forehead frowned when he saw a man before him.

"You?" yura said shortly after recognizing the man.

Yes, Yura remembered that the man standing in front of her, was the man her best friend called uncle when he accidentally met her in the hospital, first.

"So right, she's Niram Kirana?" Halim repeated the question.

Yura nodded. There was no way he would lie to the only brother Niram had in this city. Yura also felt anxious. Something bad could happen, for that, Yura thought that if it was better, her uncle Niram knew that the person who was struggling at the operating table, was her nephew.

"Then, where's her husband? Didn't she come to accompany Niram to give birth?" halim asked, spreading his gaze.

Yura gasped in shock at Halim's question. He himself was confused as to what to answer.

"Ma-sorry, Uncle. Niram never got married" replied Yura.

"What?!"

Halim was surprised. He had expected something like this, but he was still trying to deny it.

"Then, son? A-pa her lover doesn't want to be held responsible? Did he just use Niram?" cecar Halim a little emotional.

"Niram the victim was forced."

"What?!"
