CHAPTER 38 (Reason)

Nirmala hasn't seen Space for a week.

Angkasa is busy taking care of its business abroad until there is no chance to meet directly with Nirmala.

but on the other hand Nirmala felt grateful not to have to meet Angkasa because she was feeling restless and thinking a lot lately after the arrival of the Mother of Space. Nirmala was confused as to what to do.

although he was upset after hearing the words of Angkasa's mother but on the other hand Nirmala felt a little understood the feelings of the mistress. how could the son of a famous company successor pair up with himself who was nothing he didn't even have something he could be proud of.

"what else this time?" Dirgantara who heard his brother's whisper asked.

Nirmala turned to Dirgantara who was sitting next to her.

"you know, when you decided to go back to the city, you were thinking of many ways to love Angkasa and eliminate all your fears and worries, but...."

"sister then realized one thing that the real reason we couldn't be together wasn't because of brother's concerns but because of the fact that we couldn't be together"

Though Nirmala's eyes were red holding back the cry at this time but suddenly she laughed lightly for a while between the breaks of her sentence.I don't know what Nirmala was laughing at. Then she resumed her sentence.

"even without worrying, we can't be together"

Her tears trickled down after she managed to finish her sentence then hurriedly she wiped them off.

Dirgantara stood up to calm his brother but Nirmala had already stood up and walked towards his room.

He slept that afternoon not even waking up for dinner. Dirgantara who understands her brother also does not intend to bother but when she was in front of her brother's room at midnight she heard her brother talking to someone on the phone.

"You're home yet? all right, how about we meet the park just plain?.. no need. I'll take the bus early in the morning"

and sure enough Nirmala woke up early to prepare breakfast for Dirgantara then rush to the stop to wait for the morning bus.

Nirmala daydreamed as she leaned her head against the glass of the bus along the way.

Last night Angkasa called her excitedly that she was coming home tonight and Nirmala also replied to Angkasa by pretending to be cheerful.

now the clock has shown at 19:15 Nirmala was standing nervously under a tree in the park where he used to meet Angkasa.

and suddenly someone hugged him from behind.

it was quite surprising to Nirmala but then she realized that the person must be Space.

Nirmala's eyes heated up feeling the warmth of Angkasa's embrace from behind but the thought of what she was going to say to Space tonight made her emotional.

"i miss you" whispered Angkasa as she hugged Nirmala and leaned her chin on Nirmala's shoulder.

Angkasa then flipped Nirmala's body and looked into her eyes but found Nirmala's eyes as if she was crying or holding back her tears.

Space frowned seeing that.

"what's the matter, honey?" tanyanya.

Nirmala smiled and wiped her eyes.

"i just miss you too much"

hearing that Angkasa who felt relieved so chuckled then re-hugged Nirmala.

"i think someone hurt you"

Nirmala did not answer and only tightened her arms to Angkasa.

Now they were both in the car to the restaurant that Nirmala said was far enough from the city that they had been driving for a long time but had not arrived.

"sad, is the food really good?"

Angkasa began to feel something different from Nirmala today.he did not look happy to meet Angkasa when they had not met for a long time.

Nirmala who had been staring out the window did not give any response.

"honey.." call Space again.

"oh yeah. ad-what's up, baby?" tanya Nirmala stutters.

Space holds Nirmala's cheek.

"why you, baby?" ask Space gently.

"why are you daydreaming so much today?"

"hm mom-it's nothing.mm is this out of town?" ask back Nirmala doesn't want to respond to questions.

Although Angkasa was still confused he finally nodded his head to agree with his lover's question.

"please stop the car sir" Nirmala ordered the Space driver suddenly.

"what's the matter, honey?" ask the Space again.

"please ask the driver to stop the car"

Finally, Angkasa ordered his driver to stop.

Nirmala got out of the car and was followed by Angkasa.

"What's the matter why are you down here?"

"i want us to separate"

The words that managed to make Space speechless.

Nirmala walked away from the still silent Space trying to understand what she had just heard.

Then Angkasa ran to pull Nirmala's hand.

"what is this? why suddenly? it's not funny at all"

the reddened eyes of Space look as if he was holding back his tears.

"well, I just don't want to be in a relationship with you anymore"

Nirmala took another step but just as she was in the back of Space, Angkasa shouted.

"didn't you at least explain something to me"

"isn't what I said clear enough"

"everything you say makes absolutely no sense"

Nirmala ignored Space and continued walking away from Space.

just like when Nirmala fell in love, in the end she also found no clear reason to leave Space.

is it because of the words of Space's mother, or because of Nirmala who realized that they were in a different world or because of the words of Angkasa's grandmother this morning.I don't know, I don't know, all those reasons felt right in Nirmala's head that she no longer found the reason they should be together other than because they loved each other.
