CHAPTER 23 (Protection)

The rain fell more heavily tonight the air was also getting colder but these two humans stared at each other without any warmth.

"i think we should go home" Nirmala took off Angkasa's grip on her shoulder and got up from her seat.

but Space held him back.

"Nirmala..are you going to keep running away?"

Nirmala again let out a rough sigh.

"do you think I should run to you because you say you love me and because accepting another man's proposal drives you crazy?..does that make sense?. While you're engaged?"

Space fell silent.now he was already a shameless jerk.

Nirmala let go of Angkasa's grasp violently and walked into the dugout picking up the umbrella.

"i think you should go" while handing the umbrella over to Angkasa.

"i was forced to get engaged. I did not like the woman at all" explained Angkasa still did not want to give up.

Angkasa doesn't care even if he has to be a shameless jerk.His life won't calm down until he makes sure Nirmala won't accept the man's proposal. Nirmala should not be owned by anyone, imagining it makes Space crazy.

"does he not love you?"

Space speechless. Tasya has loved her and been obsessed with her ever since they sat in high school and this engagement is one way Tasya has gotten herself.

" apparently he loves you" Nirmala murmured as she saw that Angkasa had given her no answer.

"does that matter?"

"important, of course it matters"

Nirmala again sighed harshly. dealing with Angkasa was exhausting.

"master of Space..go home, do we not both have to calm our minds?"

Nirmala again thrust her umbrella at Angkasa.

Angkasa finally gives up. Right he has to give Nirmala time to think.he then calls Dion to pick her up and he comes home.

"what is the salary in that company that much? he looks richer than I thought" muttered Nirmala staring at the departure of Angkasa who was picked up by a luxury car.

Angkasa offers to drive him but Nirmala refuses. she does not want to surprise Dirgantara by going home at 2 pm.

Nirmala went into the dugout and laid her body there.

"what's important"

angkasa's words ring in Nirmala's head

it's hard to explain to Angkasa that it's important to Nirmala how she could have captured another woman's happiness.

but on the other hand Nirmala also thought about how much suffering Angkasa was betrothed to the woman he did not love.

many things Nirmala thinks about before going to bed include Raihan proposing to her. Nirmala actually wanted to reject him from the beginning even though Angkasa did not ask for it because she still wanted to spend more time with just her sister Dirgantara.

Nirmala feels that she will be forever filled with guilt for Raihan if she accepts Raihan and cannot love him back.

faintly heard the sound of door banging made Nirmala wake up from her deep sleep.

he rubbed his eyes and looked around it was already morning.

Nirmala immediately got up and saw who was banging on her shop early in the morning.

"sister worried me all night"

"you didn't go to school?"

"sir is Sunday"

Nirmala laughed grinily at his sister. made Dirgantara again look at him lazily.

"since morning?" Nirmala frowned. Isn't it still morning?.

Dirgantara frowned when she heard her brother's question.

"this brother is ten o'clock"

"APAAA" Nirmala was startled and half-screamed.

"ck" Dirgantara shook his head.

"it's impossible for me to sleep that long" Nirmala immediately confiscated her sister's phone and looked at the clock to make sure.

"we have to put a clock here" muttered Dirgantara again staring at his brother lazily.

"you're right, by the way, do you want to go with sister to aunt's house?"

"hm of course"

Now the two are on the train to their aunt's house in the village.

"what's brother's plan?"

"i'll see Raihan in person"

"do you really dislike Raihan's sister?"

"sister just wasn't ready to live with a guy that you didn't like"

while Nirmala chuckled at the response of her sister was satisfied to prank her sister.

Before meeting Raihan Nirmala had first told her aunt to convey it politely to Raihan's family that Nirmala was very sorry to Raihan's family.

and now Nirmala sat alone with Raihan in a hall under a tree that was so shady while enjoying the view of the green rice field in front of him.

Silence after that. Only the sound of leaves and the great-grandson of the birds was heard.it seemed like Raihan was arranging his feelings before then answering.

"hm you don't have to apologize" Raihan, who was staring at Nirmala, looked down.

"i was expecting it" Raihan continued, looking back at Nirmala for a while and then looking the other way.

raihan's eyes look teary.

muttered Nirmala inwardly while looking at Raihan

Raihan tried to smile realizing Nirmala was looking at him.

"you must be very happy with someone someday.it's not a bit evil to punish the woman you like with guilt"

Raihan chuckled at Nirmala's words.This woman always managed to make him laugh even at times like this.
