The Painful Love Story

The Painful Love Story
Chapter 58

Afternoon.

"Dad heard all the stories from your grandmother and Zyl. I know you're disappointed. But it's not good if you break up the family relationship just because of this kind of problem, Zean. Look at your grandfather for a moment. Did you know that your grandfather had heart failure and was about to have surgery?"

Zidan tried to persuade his son who was still reluctant to meet his father because of heartache. He knew that his father's actions had gone too far. But he also did not want the son to hate his own grandfather let alone to break the family relationship between them.

Zean frowned. He looked at his father with a look of disbelief.

Both are currently at the hospital. After Zean apologizes to Ellina, the father asks her to speak with four eyes. And he could already guess what his father wanted to talk to him about.

"Dad said what? Just a matter like this?" ask Zean in a dislike tone. "Don't you already know that Grandpa and that bastard are playing with my life and Lyora? Even because of their actions, Lyora had to lose her honor as a woman! Don't you think how Lyora will get a life partner who will accept her for who she is after she's not perfect anymore? I think my decision to cut off the family relationship with Grandpa was right. It's all comparable to what he did to me and Lyora!"

Without wanting to argue any further, Zean immediately got up and intended to leave the park, but suddenly Zidan's next question stopped his steps.

"What about you hating your grandfather, you getting Zean's satisfaction? Can you bring things back to the way they were? No right? So why do you keep your hate?"

Zean flinch. His chest rumbled withstanding the stifling anger. Then the man turned around, looking at the father with heated eyes.

"I can't bring things back to how Dad was. But I want Grandpa to feel what I feel! I mean, losing someone she loves."

After saying that Zean turned back and stepped leaving Zidan alone.

"You ready?" asked Zean as she entered Ellina's ward. His expression was so inversely proportional when he spoke to his father earlier in the garden.

Suddenly Ellina and Andita who were chatting immediately turned their heads to the sound. Ellina smiled gently as she nodded her head at her husband.

"Yes, I'm ready for Zean."

"Then let's go home now!" get Zean to help his wife get out of the hospital bed.

"But I want to see Grandpa first" Ellina said making Zean involuntarily grit her teeth.

"We can see her later Ellina. You should go home and rest. Your condition is still weak." Zean replied reasoned.

"Why should Zean? You're in the same hospital as Grandpa. Look at your Grandpa for a moment." sidelines Andita. He knew the son's anger at his grandfather was already out of bounds, but he also could not let the relationship deteriorate.

"Mother please. For Mother's sake." continued Andita in a clear tone.

Zean looked at his mother with annoyance. Zean knew her mother had deliberately used her affection for her as a weapon to melt her heart.

And sure enough, Zean could not refuse Andita's request. At first glance he glanced at Ellina who was also looking at him with a pleading gaze. Then the man gave a rough breath.

"Well, I'll go see him!"

As soon as he stepped into the ICU room, silence immediately greeted Zean. Only the sound of the heart rate-detecting monitor screen was heard filling the corner of the room.

Zean entered the room alone. Although she and Ellina are the granddaughter-in-law of the hospital's owner, there are rules that must be obeyed. Patients should only be treated in turn.

Slowly Zean drew closer to the cage where Mr. Wildan lay. He looked at the face that was closed carefully. Instantly a feeling of tightness filled his chest cavity.

From the bottom of the heart, truthfully Zean could not bear to see the state of the grandfather who seemed to be struggling between life and death. He saw a variety of medical equipment installed in his grandfather's body with a feeling of great sadness.

But he also could not close his eyes to what his grandfather had done to Lyora and himself.

Let's say he's fine.

Even Zean was grateful, because after what he went through, he could find his love for Ellina.

But Lyora....

After that, the woman fell. His future is ruined. Even Zean only found out that Lyora had leukemia since a year ago. And that adds to his list of guilt for the woman.

Finally, Zean bowed his body, gently rubbing Mr. Wildan's head while whispering in the old man's ear.

"Build Cake. Come back to be with us."

Along the way home, Zean and Ellina looked happy. A beautiful smile was engraved on each other's faces.

But Ellina's smile slowly faded as they arrived in the apartment. Especially when Zean opened the door for her.

Ellina's body was sculpted when the brim of the shadow that Zean had locked her back crossed her head.

While Zean who was standing behind Ellina frowned confusedly when she found the wife did not even step her foot inside.

"What's Ellina?" ask Zean.

Ellina blinked and shook her head slowly.

"Nothing."

He stepped in and then looked around. And his gaze stopped right at the door of Zean's slightly open room. The net was low, then he saw a frame lying below with shards of shard scattered around.

Zean who had just closed the door and turned back his reflex body followed Ellina's line of sight.

His eyes widened when he realized that he had not cleaned up the broken frame of their wedding photo that he had slammed this morning.

"You better rest in your room!" Zean tried to distract Ellina. Touching the woman's shoulders and directing her into her room. But even Ellina flinched.

"Isn't that our wedding frame Zean?" ask Ellina. "Why is there on the floor?"

Zean closed his eyes while thinning his lips. It was certain that Ellina would feel hurt when she found out that she had ruined the photo.

"I accidentally slammed him." he replied honestly.

Ellina turned her body until the two faced each other.

"Why?" ellina asked in a demanding tone.

Zean cupped Ellina's cheek, then looked inside the woman's eyeball with a guilty feeling.

"Because I was so angry this morning. I was angry, because when I came home I didn't find you in my room. I thought you ran away with Devan. So. so I vented my emotions by destroying our wedding photos. I really don't intend to do that Ellina. But you take it easy. I promise I'll replace the frame with a new one."

Ellina looked at Zean disappointedly. Slowly he removed Zean's hand from his face.

"It's not about Zean's frame. But about your trust in me. Do you think I'm that low by running away with another man?"

"Ellina." Zean was about to grab Ellina's hand but as fast as lightning Ellina brushed her aside. Pregnancy hormones make her more sensitive.

Just a few minutes ago they reconciled and now there is a new drama.

"Originally, you know, in there me and your son bet their lives because you locked us up all night! But you're accusing me of a no-no! Where exactly is your mind?!" asked Ellina with emotion. It seemed like only this time she dared to go against her husband.

Without wanting to hear Zean's reply, Ellina immediately turned around and went straight into her room.

Just as Zean was about to chase after Ellina suddenly his phone rang. Zean cursed because he felt the caller was contacting him at the wrong time.

But when she found out that it was a phone call from the hospital where Lyora was being treated, her expression turned tense.

"alright. I'll be there soon!"
