Kevin, Honey ...
Live well and be happy,
Sorry, I went home first.
*
*
Mother's words flashed in Kevin's mind. Continuous, non-stop.
Question after question, it's hurting,
How to live without a mother?
How to live well?
If only one could be happy?
Where did mom go home?
Why are you apologizing?
And another question that doesn't really need an answer.
Pdt. Giovanni accompanied the casket drop to the grave with the reading of the Servant of the Word.
"...When God created the first man, God formed the man out of the dust of the earth and breathed life into his life, so he became a living being (Genesis 2:7). But one day man will return to his Creator..."
And Pdt. Giovanni threw the earth into the pit of the grave) "...The origin of the earth, return to the ground, which from dust returns to dust."
Kevin no longer cared about his surroundings. He just stared at the white coffin that was piled up in the ground. He stood there until it was all over.
Just stand up, without talking.
Until Pdt. Giovanni said goodbye, Kevin stays there. Doesn't respond, doesn't sit, doesn't drink, doesn't eat.
Just stay there until dusk comes.
He did not know who was coming, who was holding him, who was crying, who was tucking in the money.
It feels all numb. He is unable to think.
"Comm ... Kev," call Agus while stroking his arms. "Uda malem, Kev. Flip yuk. Do you want to be here for 7 days 7 malems? I can do the tent if you want,"
Kevin did not respond.
If necessary, maybe he will stand there 7 days and 7 nights, in front of his mother's grave. If you can, build a house there.
Agus and Kasep looked at each other.
"Conscious times huh? He is like a statue" whispered Agus.
"Lu don't sudzon, bedul!" kasep whispers.
"You keep this up, he could get sick Sep,"
"Gue was even afraid that if he realized, he would definitely hate us very much" muttered Kasep.
When Kevin needed help, Agus and Kasep were angry with Kevin. They think the guy ran away from the brawl. They ignore Kevin's phone calls because they think Kevin wants to apologize or speak stale as an excuse to keep him from brawling.
No one thought, this is how it happened.
This morning, it was Ida who called Agus and Kasep, asking about Kevin's condition. Agus and Kasep.
When they finally went to the funeral home, Kevin was there. Sitting in front of his mother's coffin, people surrounded the coffin as they spoke their last words to her body.
Kevin was still frozen. His expression was illegible.
It could be, the guy does not care anymore friends and people around him.
Because at that time, the only one who helped him was Nirmala.
Also today, Kevin just stared at everything with a blank look. Like a body without a soul.
Only when adzan maghrib sayup-sayup finished reverberating, did,
"Kevin," a woman's voice made them turn their head, including Kevin.
Nirmala was there, staring at Kevin with a pus.
When he saw Nirmala, Kevin's face was revealed.
"You.." Kevin's throat was so dry. He actually wanted to ask why Nirmala could be here.
Nirmala raised her shoulders at a glance, "I was going to leave you, but I was curious and went back to the hospital. They told me your mother was dead,"
"Nir.." Kevin's voice stuck in his throat.
It feels heavy talking. Kevin gulped his saliva with great difficulty, and tried to speak.
But instead of a sound, even tears were directly falling from his eyes.
Instantly his body went limp. He fell to his knees on the grass.
It's like being awakened.
Kevin stared at the mound of earth with a gravestone engraved with a cross. Her mother's name is engraved there.
All the emotions that he had been carrying, finally broke.
He began to sob, then cry, and then scream in frustration.
Nirmala hugged him tightly, trying to strengthen him.
Kevin spilled everything in Nirmala's arms. All the stress and regret.
Shouting his might, cursing all his misfortune.
-----***-----
The clanking of plates.
The sound of frying pitted against the sutil.
Then the sound dispenser.
Kevin opened his eyes with great difficulty, the sun knocking on his petals.
What the hell's going on?
I think I dreamt that my mother died in an accident. Kevin thought as he sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed his face with both hands.
"Oh my goodness, my dream was really bad. I think I should buy a diamond ring, deh.." he muttered softly while ruffling his hair.
But there was Nirmala in the dream, all I miss is her yes, thought Kevin again while opening the door of his room.
The man headed to the kitchen, seeing a woman setting the dining table, while looking back at him.
Hugged him from behind.
"What a hell Mom, it's so early in the morning!" muttered Kevin.
Then the guy was stunned.
This perfume...
Also this body texture...
This isn't her mother!
Kevin opened his eyes and retreated, releasing the body.
It feels familiar.
He rubbed his eyes to restore his sight.
Nirmala was in front of him. Standing in his mother's cooking apron, in front of the dining table.
"Why.." muttered Kevin.
And network after network of memories back whack.
Not dreams.
Everything reality.
His mother is no longer in the world.
Kevin was unconscious too.

"Yes, I'm sorry, he's still in shock about the incident" Nirmala explained to the guests.
"We're in total shock. We've reported the police ma'am! Hopefully the investigation will go well. We've raised funds to help smooth it out!" said Mr. RT and the people who came.
"Thank you gentlemen, mothers. Please always encourage Kevin" said Nirmala.
"What's this Nirmala Bu Kevin?"
"I was just a family friend who happened to come first when Ms. Bella was taken to the IGD" Nirmala said.
"Ooh, Bella's friend!"
"It looks like Bu Bella's business, warteg, will be closed, I will bear all the needs of Kevin until he graduates from school" said Nirmala. "I apologize to those who help every day,"
"No, ma'am, it's important Kevin has to take care of it" RT said.
Vaguely Kevin heard the chatter in the living room. He was still lying in his bed.
He can't get down from there.
I can only cry, only wail.
Until Nirmala went into the room to check her condition, Kevin tried to sit down.
"Hey," Nirmala smiled gently as she sat on the edge of Kevin's bed and stroked the guy's cheek. "You know, before you died, what did your mother buy at the stall?"
"What?"
"Here," Nirmala gave a box of gum to smokers who had dented. "You told him to stop smoking,"
"Hem," Kevin received the box with a faint smile. "Okay, I'll stop,"
"Also this," the famous first edition game magazine whose cover had been scuffed, looked like the paper had started to turn yellow. It looks like it was bought from a flea store.
"Hard, Mother.." sizzled Kevin as he flipped through the magazine. Some of the tip material has been eaten by termites, "Ngapain the heck he is.." and Kevin was back sobbing.
The woman gently stroked Kevin's curls. "I gave a statement to the police based on what I knew, including the medical records I obtained from the hospital. If it happens, I think you know the details better..."
Kevin just nodded at a glance.
"You can talk to him?" ask Nirmala.
"Four, a few minutes before his life support rang,"
"May I know what he's saying?"
"Hm," muttered Kevin as he unwrapped the gum and put a grain in his mouth, "Live well and be happy,"
Nirmala nodded, though,
"That's every parent's dream words to their child at the end of life. You're lucky Kev, he's lucky that you can talk to each other, too,"
Kevin just kept quiet while staring at the box of gum in his hand. A strong mint taste like a spice-mixed toothpaste, smashing his tongue.
Then the guy nodded weakly,
"Nirmala," he hissed.
"Yes?"
"Can you stay here with me?" pinta Kevin's.
"That's my intention, but I can only take 2 days off, now and tomorrow. So you get up quickly and get excited again" said Nirmala as she left Kevin's room.
"I mean forever, you know,"
"At this time you can still joke, Kev," and Nirmala closed Kevin's room door.
Kevin wasn't kidding.
----***-----
"Necessary company?" nirmala asked as Kevin walked out of the room in a well-dressed manner.
"No need, I want to come immediately mumpung memory I'm still fresh," the young man planned to go to the police station to give a statement.
"Your friends are in the front, on the terrace" said Nirmala.
Kevin cringing. Definitely what is meant is Kasep and Agus.
"I don't have any friends" snorted Kevin grimly, grabbing his phone and helmet.
Nirmala stopped her steps by pulling Kevin's arm. "A little while" said the woman.
"What's wrong?"
And Nirmala hugged Kevin tightly. "You're great" the woman sizzled.
"Huh?" hiss Kevin.
"Yes, you're great at being able to take care of all by yourself, and are strong," said Nirmala as she raised her head while looking at Kevin.
"Without your help, I don't know" muttered Kevin. But he returned Nirmala's embrace. "Thank you," said the man, kissing Nirmala's forehead.
"Here you go, I'll clean up your mother's room" Nirmala let go of her hug and pinched Kevin's cheek.
"Okay, I'm tipping home" Kevin sighed as he walked outside.
Inwardly, the guy is impregnating. Is this how every husband feels after getting married and living at home with his wife? Even though getting married has not been, how does it feel to build a harmonious household?!
And that's when he met Kasep and Agus.
*
*
Kevin walked past Kasep and Agus, pretending not to look.
Kasep sighed.
"Keeev, plis dooong! I ask you to forgive me," Agus tugged at Kevin's shirt sleeve.
"Who are you?" ask Kevin to be upset. He headed for his beloved black CBR in the garage and put the key to the socket, then while heating his big motor, he wore his full face helmet.
His eyes were still staring cynically at Agus and Kasep.
"Ceileee, have met again from the beginning! Agus Supriyadi, Sincostangen High School in Jaktim 12th grade," Agus extended his hand towards Kevin.
Kasep came forward and looked at Kevin with regret, "Kev, I'm really sorry. We all didn't expect it to happen like this. Now you want us, I just resigned if it can make you relieved," said Kasep.
"That?" hiss Kevin. The man took off his helmet, got off the bike, and walked into the house.
Then out again with her katana of pride slung over her shoulders. "Kneel down" Kevin sighed as he straightened his chin.
"Anjrit Kev! Eling dong's! I don't mean it!" Agus cried in shock as he retreated to the back of Kasep because the jiper first saw the glint of the katana holster.
Kasep also took a deep breath to see the attitude of his best friend. He also regrets his actions. Kevin has always been there when Kasep was in need, but even in the saddest moment of Kevin's life, Kasep wasn't around.
What kind of friend is he?! If Kevin is very upset, not even willing to admit it as a friend, it feels very natural.
Finally, Kasep went ahead to face Kevin.
Never mind, what happened happened happened, the important thing is Kevin wants to forgive him. So thought Kasep.
Then he knelt down, giving up his life.
"O-oo! Sep Oi's! Lebai! Standing Sep!" Agus looked at Kasep.
"Gue's sorry," sizzled Kasep.
DUAGG!!
Kevin punched Kasep in the face with all his might. He also hit Kasep with a shout of frustration that peaked and launched bogeman also kick blindly all over the body Kasep.
Kasep does not reply, only accepts everything.
Agus panics and tries to pull Kevin's body away from Kasep, but Kevin nudges Agus' chin until the guy nosebleeds and bounces off the garage floor.
"Dogs lo all! Bang-kos! I need help when I'm dying! At least I want to help you if you can't help with the fund! You all where's bang-sat?!" kevin shouted while panting. His fist was full of blood.
Then he knelt down next to the lying Kasep while gasping for breath.
And Kevin is back.
Kasep and Agus know, they're just impingements. What is called destiny, everything happens without human prevention.
If there were them at the time of the incident, it would still not change what was outlined.
"Bro," Kasep painstakingly got up, "From now on we're together bro," Kasep leaned his forehead against Kevin's back because his head was unusually dizzy from Kevin's crushing blow.
"This time I went everywhere. I fully support your decision. You want to stop brawling, come on! I also stopped! You want to be one, come on! I'll study let us go to the same university together! You don't come to my wedding, I'll be maklumin, it's up to you..."
"Huh? What's wedding?" agus did not understand.
Kasep only remained silent while spitting blood in between his gums to the side.
"Hm," muttered Kevin while remaining face down while sobbing.
"I'm sorry, bro? Plis," sis Kasep.
"Hm, no need to stick around, uncomfortable," muttered Kevin on the sidelines of his sob. Kasep away while sneering.
What matters is that Kevin forgave her.
"So we're bestie again huh? Suer?" Agus crawled closer.
"As far as you're concerned" and Kevin sniffled again. "Gue wants to sell Katana to the motorbike for tuition fees,"
"Slightly, I bargained for another,"
Agus patted Kevin on the back, he was satisfied.
Kevin shook his hand, "No need to hold, amused,"
"Njrit, feel leather made of aswad, exclusive," mocked Agus.
"What's the aswad?" muttered Kevin.
"The stone from heaven that can absorb sin, will hold it a seizure of the same one million people,"
"Gue knows holy water" sizzled Kevin. "Bego you on, ah! Make me aje keme,"
Nirmala appeared while carrying the cooled tea box.
"Drink first, rest. This is Kevin's company at the police station. Here's the P3K box" Nirmala said.
"Thank you aunty" sizzled Kasep.
"Who is this aunt?" ask Agus. "The feeling of Bella's mother has no brother, what from her father's side Kevin?"
"My girlfriend," sizzled Kevin.
Everything just freezes, though,
"Kevin saved me," Nirmala was actually just joking because Kasep and Agus' reaction was very funny. Then the woman chuckled amusedly as she entered back into the house.
"Ah, Madekipe! Aunty lo sexy so, pantes aje lo often forget the world! Crazy bahenol abis.." murmured Agus to tilt his head to look at the figure of Nirmala.
Kevin took off his shoes and threw them at Agus to get his eyes off Nirmala.
"So my guess that you simpenan aunty, really dong yak! Very bad guy lo Kev," Kasep grinned.
Kevin wiped his tears and just kept quiet.
In his heart he could only pray that Nirmala would not disappear again and would truly become his girlfriend.
"Break a drink, I'm gonna walk," Kevin snatched P3K and dripped an antiseptic onto a cotton swab.
"Gus, grab some tea... WADIDAW!! Slowly kunyuk!!" exclaim Kasep complained as Kevin attached cotton filled with antiseptic liquid to the forehead Kasep.
"This is a pain, have never been stuck in bawuran anyway lo! Don't be pretentious if you haven't learned the science of invulnerability!" Omel Kevin's.
"Kev, since when are you anti-held?" ask Kasep.
Kevin just kept quiet and shuddered.
"It's a snack" said Nirmala, putting a plate full of chocolate-filled toast in front of them.
"Still tanteeeee," cried all at once.
"Bini lo baek really," whispered Kasep.
"Kev, what are you doing with aunty?"
"Bacot you on!" grunts Kevin.
