Chapter 38. Doctor Solar vs Sky

Two hours drive finally arrived at the house owned by Doctor Surya. The house looks beautiful and clean. The housekeeper always takes care and cleans every day.

Doctor Surya cradled a rainbow and put her to sleep on the sofa. After that help Sky bring a bag and suitcase containing clothing and toys Rainbow.

"I'll say goodbye first. Three hours to go for surgery. I'm afraid it's too late."

"Thank you, Doc. May all the goodness of the Doctor be rewarded with goodness again" said Sky.

"Don't you think so, Lang. Just call me a name to be more familiar."

Doctor Surya then approached the Rainbow and kissed the boy's forehead. As Doctor Surya was about to step away, Rainbow woke up. He sat down and saw Surya coming out of the main door.

"Daddy ...," cried Rainbow. Waking up and immediately running towards Surya and hugging the man's leg.

"Where's Daddy going?" ask the rainbow in a soft voice.

Surya knelt down to equalize his height with the Rainbow. Hugged the boy. The rainbow also hugged him by draping both hands to the neck of Doctor Surya.

"Daddy must return to the hospital. Something needs surgery."

"Is Daddy here any longer?" ask Rainbow.

The sky looked at all the interactions of Rainbow and Surya with a feeling of sadness. His heart felt sad to see all that. Dusk then approached the sky and clasped his hand. Hit the arm of the Sky slowly.

"Patience, Lang. Give Rainbow time to receive you. He knew Doctor Surya from the womb. So it must be closer to him," said Dusk strengthen the heart of Heaven. The man smiled towards the twilight.

Surya carrying a rainbow. "Lusa Daddy promised to come. Tomorrow there's still something Daddy has to take care of. Because in a week Daddy's gone to study."

"There is a Sky Papi. You can play with your Papa," Surya said.

The rainbow turned its gaze to the sky. The man smiled at his daughter. However, Rainbow did not reply to him.

"That's the Sky. Not Papi. Can Om play snake ladder?" ask Rainbow.

"Of course you can. Whatever the game, Papi Langit can do."

"Can Om play the snake ladder?" rainbow asked, looking towards the sky.

"Of course you can. Any game you want Papi can do. Do you want to play now?" tanya Langit enthusiastic.

The rainbow looked at Surya. The man nodded his head in agreement. He then whispered the Rainbow, "You should call Papi. He's your Papi. Papi Langit is smarter than Daddy. If you can beat Papi in a game of snake ladders, Daddy will buy him the latest Barbie doll."

"Daddy promise?"

"Yes, that's why you have to defeat Papi Langit in the game of snake ladders."

After quite a while, finally the Rainbow could be convinced. Doctor Surya left the Rainbow with a heavy heart. Actually, he's off tomorrow. However, he was forced to lie to the Rainbow if much work at the request of Dusk.

Still Surya remembered the time in the car at Dusk begging for his understanding. "Sorry, Mas. I hope you don't get me wrong. I'm doing this instead of being ungrateful. I just want understanding from you. Try to give Sky time during this week to be able to seize the heart of the Rainbow. Again I apologize, not that I do not like Mas to come and approach the Rainbow. Only the old days were in his heart. I'm sure that at any time, Mas still occupies the most beautiful place in the heart of the Rainbow."

Surya finally agreed to the Dusk request. Though the initial plan he wanted to take a week off to be able to play with Rainbow before going abroad.
