The Matchmaker Competition
CHAPTER 69

POV Tina

I walked down the hallway of a room. A few men in official clothes asked me to sit down to call the person I was going to meet.

I sat in front of a small table accompanied by an empty wooden chair in front of me. Reckless indeed, the figure I was about to meet was a little dangerous, very even, he not only hurt me but could not keep the trust.

"Miss Tina," one of the guards called me.

"Yes, sir."

"Sister Glen doesn't want to see you." The answer.

"Yes, thank you sir. I'm saying goodbye." I left the detention room.

I walked out of the garage. Again I failed to get a statement about the cause of papa's company was destroyed. My hands clenched hard, was I wrong to fight for my rights, my mother and my sister.

A week ago I met Mr. Tama. A man who was once a good lawyer in my papa's company. He said that the one who knows the company's destroyer is Glen. His past enemy Glen, has a personal grudge against my ex-husband.

But who is he?

I knew Glen was in the night world. He was often drunk, drug and casanova. Face to face, Glen is handsome. You know the same Ari Wibowo, Glen was known as Ari Wibowo when he was young in High School, all women judged him, even though his rival was Arjuna.

Arjuna and Glen, like princes, descended from the sky. Become a role model for women. And one of them was me who was stuck in Glen's love at the time. The charm at that time that captivated me without knowing what it was like. Even a gentleman Feri I ignored because of Glen's allure. That's my stupidity, because it's easy to get hooked just because of his good looks.

Right now I'm just standing in front of the garage, waiting for Mr. Jamal who will take the bike in the parking lot. Fortunately, Jamal has always been there for me. But to me he is nothing more than a friend. I don't know if what Jamal feels is more than that. I never tried to figure it out, let it go, it's her right.

"I'm sorry, I made you wait" he said kindly.

"It's okay, brother. I'm sorry for making Jamal's sister relax." I feel bad. Jamal's sister was forced to leave her job just to accompany me to the yard.

"Why? she won't see you again?"

I just nodded in front of him. I was confused as to why Glen didn't want to see me.

"Maybe she's ashamed of you, Tina. He used to molest you, make you a widow, take your parents' company. I think that's what made him reluctant to see you. Anyway why are you still seeing him?"

"He's still my husband, brother. I haven't been tagged with him and I who left home because I can't stand the treatment he and his family."

"Then did you come to ask for a divorce from him.if so, good dong? There will be men who will accept you for who you are."

"I just want to know who's the man who sabotaged my papa company. Some time ago I met my papa's former corporate lawyer. He said what got Glen in jail was his enemy. That guy had a grudge against Glen. But who is it? why is my papa company the target. I know that Glen is famous in the black world, so I think it's only natural that many hate him."

"Already, Tina. We forget the past, if you still want to track about your papa company, we ask for help mas Juna only, but he had just returned to his parents' house. So we wait for him to come home."

"You know the story of Mas Juna, he fell in love with his neighbor's sister. He said he felt his heart pounding with his neighbor's sister. Though I know he had to marry the son of Mr. Shabab. Mr. Shahab is a good man, he is hard but he does it so that his workers are not soft.

Maybe it is the character of the Arabs. I've heard that Arabs are strict and rude. That's what I saw from Mr. Shahab."

Then what's the deal with me? She told him about Arjuna as if saluting the man. Whatever it is won't affect my business. I need to find out who's behind all this.

We got in front of my house. I got off the bike and went straight into the house. Amar, my sister came straight out of my mom's room. Her face was pale, I thought she must have bothered mama again. But it turns out I was wrong. Amar pulled me into my mother's room.

"Yes, my God!" I went straight to the bed where Mom lay. As I recall, he was still fine. My eyes focused on the one stuck to my mama's forehead.

"Mar, why's mom?" manya panic.

"I don't know, sister. fitting home from play I saw mama passed out in the kitchen. Then I'm the same other kids lifted mom into bed. Body's hot. So tole said if people have fever he used a sticky compress, so mom used a sticky compress has a tole."

"Amar is funny too, na. That's a toddler's sticky compress." The brisper of Jamal.

"Ih, Brother Jamal, the sick man is being laughed at."

"i'm not laughing at your mama, but what Amar made. Cool still small he's sprightly, even though the baby compresses."

POV author

Tina sat next to her mother. Holding the forehead of the hot mother had not yet come down. A long sigh sounded slowly, his body was sent to the bed. His gaze looked up, remembering when he was still a complete family. Untold happiness at that time, Tina was only the most beloved child by her parents. All his will was always fulfilled by his father. Moreover, Tina was also close to Meyra, her cousin's sister. His age with Meyra was three years adrift, they even often exchanged clothes.

Now his father is gone, as is Meyra who turns out to be his wife Feri, the man who once chased him.

The world is narrow, Tina does not suspect that her boss is her sister-in-law. Tina is also shocked to learn that Meyra died of old pregnancy.

His hand opened the bag, where the jailer left a letter from Glen. Slowly he opened the envelope.

The contents turned out to be a letter from the religious court, yes Glen had been overhauling her, that meant her status was clearly she was not Glen's wife anymore. She's a widow now.

Tina wiped away her tears, her status that hung for several years was finally finished. He bowed while reading the letter.

"Na," her mother's voice sounded heavy.

"Ma, Tina is a widow now. Glen divorced Tina. Alhamdulillah, ma. Thank God, if I had taken care of it sooner, maybe my fate would not have hung for years." His wife hugged his mother's body.

"Thank God, Tina. You remember, son. You still have to maintain an attitude, do not be easy to accept other men in your life." Mother's advice.
