The Marriage Life

Episode 2

Alex smiled as he thought about how romantic she and Alice were yesterday at the cafe. Alice actually asked him to the cafe, then the funny thing is, he prepared a cake with 58-year-old candles, which should have been his father's age if his father had not died, then acted as if he were his father.

Something that might be silly to others, but it means a lot to Alex. He was very lucky to get his wife. Then the two eat the cake, Alice drinks her father's favorite drink and Alex drinks his own favorite drink.

"Thank you, baby." said Alex, staring at the wedding photo and Alice, which he put on his desk.

On the other hand, Alex does not realize that his friend Gavin has entered. His secretary and friend, to be exact. He snorted at the smiling Alex while looking at the photo of his marriage to Alice.

"Mr Alexander.." Call Gavin to wake Alex up. "Your wife is coming soon, so please just be patient."

"Shut up!" said Alex. "Say, why are you here?"

"This, this is your schedule today, tomorrow you'll meet with a female CEO to discuss your cooperation project."

"Oh.. So the CEO is a woman? I just found out, I thought men."

"I just found out too. Never mind, so you have to prepare yourself."

"All right."

"By the way, your wife called me. Around 7, I forgot to tell me earlier, now I just remember."

Alex stopped reading his schedule, looking straight at Gavin. "Why did he call you? Why didn't you call me?" tanyanya.

"Not so, he said it was hard to call you, but it wasn't picked up, so he called me."

"Huh? Really true?" he asked in shock, he picked up the phone he had placed in his pocket, and chuckled at the unexpected call from Alice. "It turns out to be true, I forgot to turn on the sound, so there was no sound."

"Geez, a CEO can behave this way" Gavin said dismissively. He's brave because he and Alex don't matter.

Gavin and he have been best friends since Junior High until now, so how could Alex let her friend talk to her? So he asked Gavin not to bother him and still behave as usual.

"Hey, I can fire you, Mr. Gavin." Of course Alex was joking.

Gavin understood the joke, then put his hands together. "Well, I'm sorry Mr. Alexander, I won't repeat it."

The two chuckled after that, before Alex asked. "What did Alice call you?"

"Oh.. He just said maybe he'll be a little late to the office to deliver your lunch later. Because he just realized the groceries were running out and he had to go to the market to buy the groceries first."

"He went alone?"

"Yes. But he said you don't have to worry, he'll be fine."

"All right, thank you. You can go."

"All right."

Gavin took the map, then walked out of Alex's room. Alex looked at the clock, it was 8:00, surely his wife had gone home. He thu, after the market, he had to clean the house all sorts. He's already offered to pay the maid, but she won't.

Alex immediately picks up his phone and sends a message to Alice.

Alex:

Have you reached home, honey?

A few minutes later, Alice replied to her message.

Alice:

Already, sorry I just answered, I was washing clothes, while waiting for me to see the phone and just saw it.

Alex chuckles little, squashy on his own with his wife.

Alex:

It's okay, honey, you better rest first, don't get tired.

Alice:

It's okay, I'm still strong. I have to hurry otherwise you'll starve.

Alex:

I'd rather starve than you get sick.

Alice:

Nothing will happen to my husband.. Be calm.

Alex:

Alright. What time will you come.

Alice:

It may last about 10-15 minutes.

Alex:

All right, I'm waiting for you, don't get tired baby, I love you.

Alice:

I love you too. Working spirit.

Alex:

Alex smiled as he put his phone on his desk. She looked back at Alice in the photo, before she started to go back to work and focus on her laptop.

Gavun enters Alex's room, and Alex, who is focused on typing, looks at the door. "Why again? From then on you just kept going back and forth bringing me this and that, pity your feet," Alex said when Gavin returned the umpteenth time.

"There's information. Today we discuss about the meeting tomorrow, we really have to discuss, long enough because we have to peel it from the beginning. Office at half-time at six. Yep.. At 8, the meeting will be over. That's a possibility."

"Grand.. A long time ago," said Alex made Gavin roll his eyes lazy.

"We have to peel it from the beginning because it's a long time, last weekend wasn't enough to spend time with your wife?" Alex shakes. "Yes, your fate. It's good there's a couple."

"Hehe.. Why are you jealous? There's no pair? Because it's quick to find Mr. Gavin's partner," said Alex as he chuckled. Because indeed, his best friend did not have a girlfriend or even the person he liked.

"Don't be arrogant! I'll tell you, she said the woman we're gonna work with is beautiful, just be careful you, you might fall for her."

"Cannot be. My heart is only Alice."

"You're so proud, yes, if she suits me, I'll make her my wife."

"You're with him?" Alex laughed, as if laughing at Gavin made Gavin frown. "Does he want to be with you?"

"Huh! Just look at it later!"

"All right, I'm waiting."

Gavin grunts, before he leaves leaving behind Alex who chuckles. Just now Gavin wants to open the door, the door is open, it turns out that the one who opened it was Alice.

"Oh.. Alice.. Have you come?" gavin said that Alex who had read the map seriously immediately raised his head and smiled to see his wife there.

"Yes" Alice replied with a smile.

"Darling.." Alex called with a smile.

"See your darling? Never mind, I better go. Happy romance."

Alice laughed, and Gavin left. Alice immediately closed the door and walked over to Alex.

"I'm sorry, the road was jammed" he said, wiping sweat off his forehead and preparing Alex's lunch.

"There's no need to rush so dear, look, you're exhausted to the point of being soaked in sweat" Alex said, worried he might wipe away any sweat left on Alice's forehead. Alice chuckled small.

"If I'm not in a hurry, I'm not until now. Come on, let's eat, you must be hungry, I cook your favorite fried rice, I cook a lot for you to eat until afternoon."

"Yes dear.. Thank you, have you eaten?"

Alice shakes. "I haven't had time."

"Four didn't have to eat baby!" Alex's tone rose, Alice knew that when it came to her health, Alex would turn violent.

"Yes Alex.. I'll eat at home later"

"Not at home, eat with me. This much will not end."

"But-"

Alex had thrust a spoon on top of which there was fried rice in front of Alice's mouth, his eyes staring at the spoon, as a signal for Alice to call her food. Alice sighed and ate it, she could not resist.

"Well! This is better." Alex's face changed. Alice bobbing head.

"Basic."

"Honey. Today I'm coming home at eight o'clock tonight, yes, I have a meeting for me with another CEO, from a company I'm going to work with."

"Gee.. A bensrkah? Good luck!"

"Thank you dear." said Alex with a smile. Even though he had thought Alice would protest about her return schedule. "You don't mind if I go home late, do you?"

Alice smiled and shook her head. "No, I know you're the CEO, you have to do it. That's your duty."

Alex smiled, thankfully he had an understanding wife like Alice. Alex hugged Alice from behind. "Let it be like this, I need energy."

"Eating your food is real energy."

"You have more energy, let me swallow you."

Alice chuckled small. "Yes, whatever," he said before putting his head on Alex's chest.
