The Mafia Love Journey

The Mafia Love Journey
A Miracle

***POV***

Life and death belong to God, no one can control death. This applies to Gerlard even though he is a notorious sadistic criminal. When his life was over the horns, who would have thought that it would make me want to die with him. Though he's evil with most people, he's still a two-sided angel to me. I don't need anyone, except for a Gerlard I'm calling friendly, Jiji.

"Lord, I'm not a holy man, I know there are thousands of prayers out there wanting Jiji dead, but slip my prayers among the thousands for his salvation. Although I had to exchange lives, I was sincere, Lord." I prayed as the medics tried to restore Gerlard's weakened heart rate.

"Miss, you better get out of the room if you keep crying. Calm yourself first, I'm afraid your crying is hindering the doctor's work because it's lost focus." Pinta's a medical staff member who came with me earlier.

"But sus, I want to be here no matter what." My pet is full of moans.

"You love Mr. Gerlard, don't you, if so let's go out for a while, pray and call the rest of the family." The nurse pulled my limp body out of the room.

I flinched after sitting in the waiting chair, I realized I was alone at this moment. Jason just left to take care of the job. The fact is not really alone, because many of Gerlard's bodyguards and confidants are all over the room.

"Miss call me?" Asked a bodyguard in response, from my gesture of waving.

"Please spread the word to all the families, if Gerlard's condition is critical, suddenly his heart rhythm weakens, convulsions and vomiting. And get Jason here fast. Thanks." I can contact them myself, just call me somewhere.

After ten minutes of asking for help from the bodyguard, I saw Jason running towards me with a disheveled look. After neutralizing his wheezing breath Jason hurriedly entered the room without greeting me first. Of course I just saw without being able to prevent.

"Huh, shit*n I expelled that nurse bedeb*h." Pissed Jason after putting his ass next to my seat.

"Jas, i....." Unable to feel the tongue talking, I rushed to hug Jason, hoping to get calm.

"Hey, relax. Gerlard could've gotten through it." Jason stroked the tip of my head, though I tried hard I knew his hands were trembling slightly as he spoke.

"I'm afraid Jas, that fear is getting more and more seconds gnawing at my feelings." I honestly can't keep everything alone.

"Don't slur, God grants the prejudice of each of his servants. So can you be prejudiced right now." Jason's advice was somehow suddenly religious in my eyes.

"Hm, let's put our hope in the power of prayer." Saying definitely.

I took off Jason's arms after feeling pretty calm. No further conversation from either of us. Our eyes are busy at the entrance to Gerlard's room. Hope the door opens soon and good news is received.

Bruck

"Patient's family please come along for a moment." A nurse opened the door in haste and called Gerlard's guardian.

"What's the matter?" Jason approached the nurse, before whispering to me to sit here.

"We're asking for approval for follow-up surgery, because the patient's diagnosed cranium is sliding out of place." Obviously the nurse.

"Why was the operation again, wasn't the operation successful?" Jason's question didn't take it.

"True, isn't it risky to operate on a person who from his first operation has not been awake?" I couldn't bear to keep quiet, finally approached and let out an opinion.

"Time to explain is not much, we need immediate approval, because the heart rhythm of the patient starts to rise and fall. Doctors have taken many risks for the recovery of patients. We bet on the operation this time." Some nurses seemed impatient with the questions we asked.

"Where let me sign it." Jason gave up, and asked for the papers to be signed.

Approval in hand, Gerlard's body was immediately rushed to the operating table. Jason and I braced each other when we saw the bodies of our loved ones in the mirror passing us in alarming conditions.

The lights are still in red indicating that the operation is still ongoing. Jason and I have contacted other families but there has been no sign of them.

"Jas, what's the story, why is Gerlard in surgery again?" Tanya Danda who just arrived coincided with the arrival of Felix and Jolie.

"I don't know, all I know was Gerlard had a seizure and vomiting and his heart rhythm weakened, then suddenly there was a doctor's decision to do the surgery again." Obviously Jason, while I can't say and directly embraced by Jolie.

Silence, after Jason's explanation we're like there's no material to just chat. Everyone is busy praying in their hearts. And somehow every second that goes by feels so long right now.

In a sense of dread I was still amazed by the arrival of Mommy and Daddy, along with uncle Dalton and aunt Carmila. Weren't they in a different country, so why come so soon. I forgot the distance from America and Chicago to Denmark can be reached for seven hours on a non-stop trip. Moreover, they use private flight services, it certainly can be faster than I thought.

"Jas, you okay?" Ask Daddy to see Jason tangled up.

"Dad, i...." Jason's cries spilled over along with Mommy's embrace for him.

"Honey calm down, we're all here. It's not just you who bear the fear of being alone, there's Mommy son." Mommy is busy talking while stroking Jason's body which is much higher than mommy.

Jason's cry was heartbreaking to anyone who heard. No wonder some of us cried, while others showed teary eyes.

"Dear please!" Mommy screamed, and reflexively pulled on Daddy's arm standing right next to her. Yeah Jason passed out in Mommy's arms.

"This kid, hmm...." Daddy carried Jason's body and asked Felix to find a nurse.

There is no word from us. Let alone to recite the words of uncle Dalton, to say a prayer we do only in the heart. Although his figure got the nickname of the child of the devil, did not throw away the kindness that I had felt given him as well as others. So losing her is the worst thing in the world I can't imagine.

The operation this time went faster than the first operation. The lamp switches color, signifying the operation is complete. Before the doctor came out, Danda called Daddy to tell me. And Daddy and Jason, who had realized from the stupor, came right as the doctor opened the surgery door.

"Dok, how's the operation this time." Without having time to stabilize his breath, Daddy immediately questioned the doctor.

"Fortunately the patient has a seizure, so we know where the error lies so that the patient has not been awake. So that we took the initiative to re-operate and succeed well, we leave the results to God." Obviously the surgeon.

"What part does the doc operate on?" Ask Daddy who doesn't know.

"There is a patient's cranium that shifts so out of place that it inhibits the work of the brain to respond to everything, it could be that this also affects the body responding to drugs that have been given." The doctor said lightly.

"Thank you doc, if my son doesn't make it, don't expect you to be safe either." Gertak Daddy with his strong nature.

"Okay, I'm sorry." The doctor said goodbye with a slightly gloomy face.

I was so surprised by Daddy's character. Shouldn't he be grateful, the doctor has tried as much as possible to treat patients, this even received death threats from Daddy. Fortunately, the doctor did not grudge and hurt Gerlard during the operation.

It took half a day for Gerlard to be transferred to the ward. Again, the silent events of everyone happened in this room. No one's talking. Even I can clearly hear the breath of each person here. Waiting for the patient is like waiting for a judgment turn in the afterlife.

"Daddy Gerlard's fingers are moving." I who happened to be next to Gerlard's body realized and immediately said a little loudly due to pleasure when I saw Gerlard's conscious hope.

"really?" Ask Daddy then approached Gerlard's body, now everyone is in a circle swarming Gerlard's bed.

We all looked at Gerlard, and were surprised by Gerlard's open but difficult eyes. I clasped Gerlard's hand, trying to give him a boost of strength so he could open his eyes.

Slowly but surely, Gerlard began to open his eyes. Take a few minutes until vision begins to focus. All of those events subconsciously made me hold my breath waiting for the moment.

"Sweet you're aware." Mommy immediately hugged Gerlard's body, actually I wanted to hug him first but not feel good with the woman who gave birth to Gerlard.

"Thank God, I didn't count the doctor." Daddy gave thanks even with frills.

"You made me almost die standing in your condition as long as you know." Jason the youngest brother who turned out to be a crybaby.

"Who are you?" Gerlard's question made everyone dumbfounded.

"Ge it's your Daddy, don't make it up like he doesn't know." Daddy asked everyone to take some distance so he could talk more freely with Gerlard.

"I'm Ge, Ge who?" Ask in the tone of a child.

"Darling don't scare Mommy." Mommy stroked Gerlard's face gently.

"But I'm sorry I don't remember." Gerlard's reply infuriated Daddy and asked Felix to call the surgeon.

The doctor came with two nurses. Ah I forgot it's eight o'clock tonight Danish time. Fortunately, the doctor has not changed the watch clock with other doctors.

"You tried to check on my son." Daddy's orders to see the doctor just arrived.

The doctor did some tests and came to a conclusion." There's nothing wrong with Mr Gerlard, what's your concern?"

"Still asking, you know he's amnesiac." Shouted Daddy forgot that there was a patient here.

The doctor didn't answer Daddy, then turned to look at Gerlard long enough." Don't prank your closest people, sir.

"Hehehe, your faces are so tense when I'm okay. Sorry to worry." Gerlard said without guilt, making Daddy almost floated a raw bogem.

"You dare to do that when we almost lost our breath seeing your condition." Uncle Dalton.

"Uncle don't joke, I was just in an accident a few hours ago. Like I've never seen me wretch." Relax Gerlard without knowing the truth.

"You're in a two-month coma over Ge." Jason's chirps are taking shelter in his mommy's armpit.

"Ah, that's right. I may be in a coma. Look I'm fine." Still don't believe in reality.

"But what they say is true Ji, you even had head surgery twice." I can speak well now.

"Yeah, that's right. I'm really in a coma?" Ask Gerlard to make sure.

There is no affirmation, just nodding us simultaneously. And the doctor who assented. And funny events due to the behavior of Gerlard who did not believe himself in a coma to turn on the atmosphere of the room that had died. In my heart I thank God for being so generous in bringing down his wonders.
