Catastrophe in the Cinema Building

“I wear this nice shirt, Mas?”

“Good. Beautiful really, darling.”

“Don't she shorten her skirt?”

“Ngak, coke. Your legs look slim and white really, wear those jeans skirt.”

“Really?”

“Really, My Love. Why would I lie?”

“But I'm less sick, Mas. I was thirty-three years old. Udah less cool with girls in their twenties who like to walk to the mall wearing mini skirts.”

“Lho, why do you compare yourself to those smelly girls?

Theresia smiled spoiledly at her husband. It was obvious that he was happy to hear Jonathan's praise. Her own husband is not lying. His wife who is basically beautiful does look cool and sexy wearing a yellow blouse and mini skirt made of jeans.

The two of them then walked hand in hand to the car parked in the carport house.  Jonathan is shocked when his wife suddenly kisses him on the cheek in the car. “Thanks a lot, Mom. I want to watch a movie. You don't really like Brad Pitt, do you?”

The man replied with a hearty heart, “Ya instead of disliking, Yang. Ordinary aja. You know I prefer George Clooney. The Brad Pitt movie is okay, too. The important thing is you are happy.”

Theresa smiled happily. Try if every day your mood is this good, baby. Watch any movie I won't mind Jonathan said in his heart.

Along the way to Q-Mall, the couple had a casual conversation. Any talk, including about Karin who will replace his tantric position as secretary Jonathan in one and a half months.

Soon the car Jonathan was driving reached the parking lot of the Q-Mall building. He and his wife then went down while joining in with a friendly like a newlywed couple. Jonathan opens the mall entrance and as usual lets Theresia in first. Then the two of them joined hands and walked to the cinema.

After entering their booking code in the automatic machine available at the entrance, automatically exit the two tickets that had been ordered by Jonathan this afternoon through his mobile application. Then the couple stepped into the cinema shop to buy snacks.

Suddenly a young woman greeted Jonathan kindly, “Hai, Jon. How are you?”

Jonathan looked at the unknown woman in surprise. Who is it, this guy? I seem to have seen it before. But where, huh? he thought it was full of question marks.

“Sorry, who is it?”

“Yeah! You forgot, same me? Do I look old?”

“Sorry, I am a bit forgetful.”

“I'm Mina, Jon. Your High School Friend first. Who often sits with me is you, you know. You used to love borrowing my notes if you didn't go to school.”

Jonathan recalled at once.

The short straight-haired lady who was dyed in blonde color nodded happily.

“Finally you remember me, Jon! Haha…. Long time ago, we did not meet. Since graduating High School. Where do you live now? What work?”

“I live near here. Work in a paint company. Oya, meet my wife,” Jonathan replied kindly while turning to Theresia who had been silent next to him.

Mina smiled kindly and extended her hand to Jonathan's wife. Theresia smiled cynically as she greeted her husband's old friend at a glance. He didn't mention his name at all. It was clear from the look on his face that he did not like Mina. Jonathan who realized that was starting to feel a bit awkward. While Mina casually mentioned her name as if she did not feel the awkwardness that occurred.

“Call your mobile number dong, Jon. Let if there is a reunion with SMA friends I can call.”

“Ehm, sori. My phone just disappeared. I haven't bought a new number,” let Jonathan reason. She was afraid of Theresa. Can be chubby later if I exchange phone numbers with Mina, she murmured inwardly.

“Then ask for your wife's number, yes. How much?”

Theresia immediately voiced out, “Sorry, the film is ready to play. Excuse me first, yes. Come, Mas. We can be late later.”

Jonathan nodded and immediately said goodbye to his old friend. Well, he lamented in his heart. I was so happy that Theresia's mood today was so good. How could I suddenly meet an old friend here? Women anyway!

He looked at his wife who was clenching her left arm tightly as if to show her status as Jonathan's legitimate wife. The punishment for me will soon come, the inner man resigned.

“I want to eat popcorn, Mas,” said Theresia when the new movie started fifteen minutes.

“Oh, okay. I bought it first, honey. What drinks? ”

“Mineral water is not cold aja.”

“Ok. Wait, yes,” said Jonathan softly. He swiftly descended down to buy the order of his beloved wife.

Shortly afterwards the man climbed up with a large box of popcorn and a plastic bag containing two bottles of cold mineral water.

“This, dear,” he said while thrusting a popcorn box to Theresia.

“What feeling, Mas?”

“Mixed. Salty and sweet.”

“I want a sweet one, Mas. Please buy it again.”

Jonathan surprised. “Then what is this, Yang? Don't you usually like to eat salty and sweet mixes?”

“Now I'm not anymore.I just want to be sweet. Small size aja.”

“Ya then. I bought a sweet little size, yeah. What else do you want to buy?”

“Nothing. That's enough aja.”

“Good.”

The husband who tried to be steadfast to face his wife then stepped back down again. Looks like my punishment has already begun, he thought resignedly.

Moments later he had returned with a small box of sweet popcorn ordered by his wife. Theresia immediately ate it voraciously without saying thank you. Jonathan, who was used to his wife's attitude when he was not in the mood, did not put it in his heart. He leaned his back on the back of a soft cinema chair while enjoying salty-sweet mixed popcorn and a film whose storyline was no longer understood.
