On a clear morning,

The morning sunlight shines on every corner of the room with its warm glow. The atmosphere inside the house was so calm and peaceful. The large windows open the view of the sparkling beauty of the lake outside.

That morning, Raka who as usual stood at her favorite spot while looking at the lake so soothing, the dew still covered the surface of the lake, and the morning sunlight slowly greeted her face. Accompanied by a warm cup of coffee, Raka looked at the beautiful scenery that lay in front of her.

But his heart was not as happy as the morning atmosphere he enjoyed. Raka's mind was still muddled due to the difficult decision she was about to face.

“huuuuuhsshh..” the sound of Raka's breath being accompanied by her cigarette smoke.

When Raka was deep in thought, suddenly Rani's sweet voice blew away her delusion. Raka averted her gaze and looked at Rani, her lover, who was already standing beside her with a warm smile. Rani's smile seemed to bring peace and cheer that morning.

“What are you thinking, Mas?” asked Rani gently while looking at Raka with attention.

Raka was silent for a moment, feeling somewhat surprised by Rani's presence but also feeling pleased. He decided not to hide his feelings.

“To be honest, Mas is worrying about your decision last night. Although, Mas agreed but there is something that Mas doubted,” replied Raka sincerely.

Rani nods understandingly and then touches Raka's shoulder softly, providing support without having to say a word.

“But look at the beauty of this lake. This morning was beautiful, wasn't it? Many things in this world that can make our hearts light even for a moment,” said Rani while staring at the enchanting view of the lake.

Raka followed Rani's gaze and pondered her words. He realized the problems that constrict the mind can make us forget to enjoy the beauty around us.

“You're right,” says Raka slowly. “Thank you for reminding me, Rani.”

Rani smiles and then invites Raka to sit together on the balcony bench. They sat side by side, still watching the lake reflecting the morning sun.

“Mas,” said Rani in a soft voice, “I want to tell you about something that is very important to both of us.”

Raka looked at Rani with an attentive look. She feels something is wrong, because the sudden change in Rani's face looks uneasy like never before.

“Sure, Ran. Just tell me what is bothering you,” he said while holding Rani's hand affectionately.

Rani takes a deep breath before continuing, “As Mas knows, Rani loves you very much, Mas. We have shared so many memories and dreams together. However, lately, there has been something that makes me feel shaken.”

Raka looked at Rani attentively, giving her a chance to continue.

“Rani and Dian, have not seen each other for long. But, at this time, Dian already considered Rani as her own sister, Mas. Moreover, now he was having quite a big problem for the women. Although it was a mistake he made, but Rani can feel it, Mas. As Rani once told me, Mas.” Rani said that sentence carefully.

Raka's face seemed shocked to hear it, because Rani was still with her stance. But he did not say a word, giving Rani an opportunity to continue her explanation.

“Dian accidentally got pregnant and Dian didn't really want that to happen. The same is the case with Ratih at that time,” explained Rani. “Currently, Dian is very confused and afraid to face her parents. Rani, feels responsible and needs to help and support her.”

Raka was silent for a moment, digesting whatever she had just heard. She tries to understand Rani's feelings, but her heart cannot be ignored either.

“Then what about our relationship, if I marry Dian, Ran?” asked Raka in a serious tone.

Rani looked into Raka's eyes with doubt. “Rani don't know, Mas. It was a very difficult decision for Rani. Rani loves Mas, but Rani also feels unable to leave Dian alone in her difficult situation.”

Raka grabs Rani's two hands affectionately. “Mas understands how you feel, Ran. We are in a complicated position. I love you and want to see you happy. But, Mas need to know what you want, what you feel.”

Raka kissed Rani's forehead gently. “We need to talk more about this issue. Be willing to listen to all your feelings. We can find solutions together. But for sure, whatever your decision, Mas will still love you and respect him.”

Finally, after arguing with his inner self last night and listening to all of Raka's words.

“Thank you well, Mas,” said Rani “But, Rani apologizes, Rani stays on Rani's initial intentions. Rani wants Mas, wants to marry Dian.”

Heard that sentence for the umpteenth time from the person he loved so much. Raka whose feelings are also raging finally with a very forced he let out his sweet smile, reaffirming the request of Rani, his lover. Even if it makes him sad.

Raka, who was not strong enough to hold back her sadness and her lover, finally hugged Rani tightly. And Rani also welcomed the embrace with deep sadness.

The newly awakened Ratna glanced towards the clock located beside her already showing it at 07.30am. Then he got up from his bed and looked at Dian who was still asleep in his sleep. Ratna had wanted to wake Dian, but the intention was finally undo, because seeing the condition of Dian emanated from his face that still looks very very tired, he said, after the last few days he had a very difficult situation in his life.

Ratna as usual immediately wanted to wake Raka up. However, after Ratna entered Raka's room, Ratna was a little confused looking at the empty room. After Ratna searches for Raka in her room and does not find her, she finally decides to see her on the balcony which is indeed Raka's favorite place.

While opening the slightly opened balcony door, Ratna was surprised to see Raka and Rani hugging with sadness seen on their faces.

Ratna felt confused and tried to digest what was going on. He asked his own mind, “Mas Raka and Mbak Rani, what has happened? Why do they both look sad? different from overnight.”

Ratna felt full of seeing those two people who were very valuable in her life. In such a sad condition, he had wanted to get close to the two of them but he hesitated and finally Ratna just stared at where she was.

Then suddenly, Ratna was surprised because someone pulled her hand from behind.
