The Love of the Duda

The Love of the Duda
TCSD 54: Gorge

"T-Lord God...."

Flabbergasted gods. His lips gap wide with a heartbeat that returned to work irregularly.

"M-Mara......????"

The god took wide footsteps to be able to scrape away the insignificant distance with the girl who lately had managed to tease her inner being. When her footsteps stopped right in front of the body of the young girl who still looks so beautiful even though she is currently only wearing a cleaning service uniform, the widower's gasps pulled Mara's body and carried her into his arms.

"Sir...."

"Bec... I really miss you. Why did you suddenly disappear without any news? Did you know that I'm crazy without you?"

"T-Master..."

"Bec... Don't say anything else. I really can't stand all this." The god parsed his embrace a little. He looked at the beautiful girl in front of him. "Bec... Let's get married. I'll make you happy all my life."

A sweet smile was etched clearly on Mara's lips, really there was nothing she felt right now other than a feeling so bloated inside her chest. Without hesitation, the girl nodded slowly.

"Yes Sir. Let's get married!"

The god looked back at the netra Mara. He approached his face to be able to erode the distance of his lips with the lips of the girl who looked so tempting. And without further ado, the God began to clench the lips of the girl who was like opium to him. A lip that feels so sweet as cotton candy. Desirefully, the adult man said***** Mara's lips, sipping all the pleasures that are in there, without wanting to be missed at all.

The man still grabbed the girl's lips. Hugging him possessively as if he did not want to lose any more. Till....

"God! Marah! Why are you guys just quiet like this?"

Krishna, who followed the gods into his room, could only look in wonder when he saw the boss and a beautiful girl standing far apart and clinging to each other. The two were silent, fixated, not talking to each other at all. It was as if they were both collecting pieces of memory about who was in front of each of them.

The above narrative turns out to be just a wishful thinking. Because in reality, God and Mara are just equally fixated, unable to say anything. Just asking 'are you okay?' they cannot say.

Krishna clucked softly. Without further ado, the personal assistant pulled on the arms of the Gods then swept it up to sit on the sofa. After successfully sitting the God, he walked closer to Mara, then he also paused the girl to sit on the sofa, next to the God.

"Once, let's talk! I'm sure you miss each other!" the Lord's word to the boss and the beautiful girl was not to be denied.

Crick... Krikka... Krikkhk...

Silence, no sound at all. Maybe only the sound of crickets being rough in this room.

Krishna's getting clucked. But a grin, instantly appeared on his lips. "All right, I'll get out of here. So you can use this time to let go of each other."

Chris got up from his sitting position. The man then sauntered away leaving two people who were longing for each other but did not know how to express it all.

"Mr De....."

"Is Pramono suddenly suddenly poor, to let you work as a cleaning service like this?"

Mara flabbergasted. The girl had absolutely no idea what this man in front of her was talking about. "T-Master..."

"Or, when you're heading to this town, you're the victim of a robbery so that the five billion dollars you've brought just disappeared?"

"Ah... Or did you come back here because you wanted to get close to me then when you got what you wanted, you left suddenly again?"

Again, the gods flocked Mara with some questions that even Mara had not answered. Everything inside his head seemed as if he wanted to spill right now.

The man smiled sinisterly towards Mara who was still putting on a face full of her sense. "What a perfect game Ra. After you managed to get me hooked on your presence, you just left without ever thinking about my feelings. You succeeded Ra. You made my heart soar and now you just drop it. And now my heart is crumbling again when I find out if you go with another man."

The man cried, spilling all the flavors mixed into one. But from the words thrown from his lips, implied a sense of disappointment. I don't know what he's disappointed about, but he seems disappointed because he's stuck in his own thinking.

"Master... I'm really sorry. But it really didn't happen that way. That time...."

"That's Ra. I've given you the chance to be Pramono's life partner. I know, I'm just a widower who's even more deserving of being your uncle." The god ruffled his hair a little rough. "I'm sorry Ra. I'm sorry I met you and I'm sorry I fell in love with you."

There was an invisible knife stuck right in the heart of the girl who was even the first time she knew what it was to fall in love. Without feeling a single drop of clear crystal just fell from the girl's eye patch.

"Are you sorry to meet me?"

The god nodded slowly. "Yes, I'm sorry. Aren't you just using me? After you get branded stuff from me, you then just leave me?"

The clear threads flowed back from the eye of Mara. The girl got up from her sitting position. "Well, if you regret meeting me. I'll make sure today is the last time you see me. I'll resign from this place."

Mara began to step out of the room of the Gods. But before he pulled the door lever, the girl momentarily stopped her footsteps. "Originally you know, the things you bought for me while I was in New York, there was nothing I could enjoy. All I could enjoy was the gold-colored long dress that I was going to use to meet you at that time."

Flabbergasted gods. "What do you mean?"

Mara just smiled bitterly while enduring the pain that felt so piercing her heart. "I'll never explain anything. Because it's useless to explain something to someone who has already felt a regret about a meeting that we can not even avoid at all."

Mara inhaled a deep breath of air, trying to fill her chest cavity with oxygen that seemed so difficult for her to get in this place. "Maybe you're hurt because you think I've used you. But you should also know, that I am much more hurt because you did not give me a chance at all to explain what really happened."

The gods are getting flabbergasted. "Mara-Mara...."

"What has already been said can never be retracted, right? Right now I understand if you've regretted our meeting. And now I will make sure, you will never see me again. Excuse me Lord God."

Mara pulls the door lever. The girl came out of the God's room. For a moment, he fell silent in front of the door of this room of Gods. His tears flowed back as if spilling an immense pain raining down his chest.

God, if I knew this pain was falling in love, then I wouldn't let my heart be adrift by a creature named man. This is the first time I have felt love. But why does it feel like this?

While inside the room, the man looked increasingly chaotic. He seemed to be slightly aware that there was a misunderstanding between him and the foreign girl. But in vain, the words that came out of his lips had made a deep abyss that became the separation between him and the girl he loved. I don't know what he's going to do to get through that chasm until he can get Mara's body back in his arms.
