The Love of the Duda

The Love of the Duda
TCSD 21: Our Introductions

The blue of the sea water was clearly spread before the eyes of the 37-year-old man who was sitting pensively while dissolving himself into his daydream. Although the age of the man is no longer young, but the outfit he wears is still very fashionable. A white shorts, a typical beach shirt with floral motifs in blue, fedora hat, etc, and a pair of sunglasses that perched perfectly on his sharp nose seemed to reinforce the good looks stored in his face.

The beach is still empty of visitors because it is a new tourist destination as if it is the most appropriate place to be alone and pull away. With a soft caress the baby seems to make anyone feel at home for a long time sitting on the edge of the beach like this even though the weather feels a little hot.

Dozens of seagulls are seen adorning the sky this afternoon coupled with clumps of white clouds that form the feathers of sheep as if to be a perfectly formed natural painting of the Supreme grasping of life.

The thundering pounding sound of the waves sounded so clearly deafening. They rolled around breaking up the rocks then threw themselves to the shore, and then left only the foam of sea water. White sand that looks so contrasted with the blue sky, like a frame of life that looks so beautiful.

The gods are still in his mind. If sitting alone like this, pieces of bitter memories that only a while ago he experienced, as if increasingly tempting, seducing even invite him to return to remember the event. He never thought, if his marriage ran aground at an age that is still classified as corn. Yes, after half a year of living a married life, now he officially holds the status of widower.

"If you feel a chest tight feeling, you can shout as loud as you can in this place."

The sudden vibration of a soft sound radiated into the sense of hearing, making the Deity a little jolted and as if to disperse his entire reverie. He looked to the side, and it looked as if this young girl he had just met was already sitting by his side.

"What would I get if I yelled at this place?"

Mara was still staring fixed at the expanse of the open sea that was in front of her eyes with a slightly glaring gaze while she showed a sweet smile on her lips. "Maybe sir won't get anything. But at least by shouting, you can throw all the feelings that feel squeezed into the chest of Master."

The gods chuckled softly. "It's just a fairy tale. Although screaming but it all can not restore the situation as before. Conditions that have already been destroyed and ravaged."

"That's true sir, that no one can bring things back to the way they were. Yet we still have plenty of opportunity and time to scratch the ink of happiness on the next sheet of our lives. Surely, by tightly closing the worn sheet or perhaps the one that has been scratched by a bitterness ink."

The god grew more and more chuckled listening to the babble of this girl beside him. "The words that come out of your mouth, like a sign that you are far more experienced than I am. Though in terms of age, I am much older than you and certainly my experience of a life is much more than you, right? But why are you here more mature than I am?"

Hearing the laughter of the man by her side, made Mara also laugh. Still reluctant to link her gaze towards the man who had been staring fixedly at her face, Mara tried to respond to what the man had said. "One's age cannot guarantee one's maturity, sir. Old is for sure, but adult is a choice. How we face and live life is all determined by our maturity."

The god nodded his head trying to understand the words that came out of the lips of this girl. A much more mature thought even beyond his age.

You are indeed mature in thinking, maybe you get it from the path of life that always takes you to always be a mature woman. But baby, you're still so innocent, and that's what makes you look so adorable.

"Do you want to scream too? I think you also have a burden pressing on your chest."

Gosh darn.. Why does this sound so ambiguous? The burden that squeezed his chest? It was like pointing at the two twin hills that were puffed up on this girl's chest. Didn't the two hills seem to be something so heavy to carry? Oh my goodness Wa... Why can you get so sick like this?

The god ruffled his hair in frustration as his sanity felt increasingly lost as if swallowed by the earth. Until it turns into dirty thoughts that dominate his brain.

Mara smiled knot. He rose from his sitting position and now he stands facing the expanse of the high sea in front of him.

"Yahoooooo!!!! You must be happy for yourself. Strengthen yourself like a rock standing in front of you. It is sturdy despite the waves of sea water repeatedly trying to tear you down! Be a tough lady, Maraaa!!! which can never be defeated by circumstances even though it feels shackled!"

The clear thread from the girl's eye patch escaped just like that. It was as if spilling all the heavy burdens that were tormenting his inner being. The threads flowed more and more as all the memory rolled back his memory of the life path he had passed. The god was stunned listening to this girl's cry. Although it sounded shaking but the girl still shouted loudly.

The god rose from his sitting position. He followed what the girl did. "Lord... Thank you for showing me who he really is. Now let me throw out his name to get caught up in this roll of waves. Dragging it into the deepest sea trough and it will never be able to return again!!!"

Like a cotton swab in the wind, the feeling of the adult man seemed to be lighter. All the beautiful days that he had knitted with his ex-wife, he threw away along with the waves that rolled in front of him.

The god and Mara stared at each other. And a smile was equally engraved on each other's lips. Without any encouragement from where, slowly the fingers of God gently rubbed the tears that had wet the cheeks of the girl.

"Mara's? That's your name?"

Mara nodded. "Yes Sir. Nismara Dewani Hayati is my name. Mister?"

The god gave a little smile. "My name is in one part of your long name."

Mara frowned. "God?"

Gods nodded. "Yes, I'm a god!"

Mara again linked her gaze towards the high seas. "Lord Dewaaaaaa.... A passion for our happiness!!!"

Like a chick that always follows what its mother does, the God also stared at this stretch of blue sea before him. "Maraaaa.... Smile always. And welcome your happiness!"

Plukkkkkp..

The god was a little surprised when there was a little splash of sea water that soaked the clothes he was wearing.

Mara chuckles. "The beginning of happiness for each of us, Lord God!"

"Aaaaaahhh has begun to be ignorant, have you?"

Plugs... Pluck...

Once the splash of sea water given by Mara, reciprocated with three splashes by the God.

"Aaaaaahhh Sir.... Stopit! My clothes are all wet!"

"It's not that easy, Miss!"

The god further intensified his action to make Mara's clothes wet by repeatedly splashing sea water on the girl's body. That's what makes Mara start running to avoid attacks from the Gods. Both are running on the beach. Sometimes there is a boisterous laugh from both of them that seems to tell the world that they are so enjoying and happy today.

Mara, who had previously shied away from the pursuit of God, began to stop her footsteps. He turned around and began to reply to what the Gods were doing. When he managed to capture the body of a God, he thoughtlessly wet the body of a God with more splashes of water that he gave to the God.

"Hahaha feel Sir! That's a reply to Master for already making my clothes wet like this!"

"Hey Miss! Didn't you start first?"

A satisfied laugh came out of Mara's lips. But at once the God pulled the girl's arm and she took it into her arms. He stared fixedly at the girl's face as if he did not want the girl to turn her face a little.

Highlight the eyes of the God like an arrow stuck right in Mara's chest that made the girl's body shake. The gaze that always makes the way his heart works seems problematic to leave heartbeats that sound timid. However, from the look of this man's eyes stored a shade that was so soothing to his soul.

The god slightly raised the chin of the girl and....

Cup...

A gentle kiss managed to land God on the lips of the girl who looked so tempting. Both Mara's eyeballs swerved perfectly getting an impromptu attack from the Gods. His lips were clenched, unable to give any response.

The gods are still trying to knock Mara's lips open. But still, Mara can only sculpt and is unable to do anything.

"Sir...."

Still intensely stick her lips on Mara's lips. "Yes?"

Mara tries to free herself from the twists of the God's body. "Look behind your back. There's a Dugong sunbathing on that rock!"

Gods gasp. "Dugongs? On this beach is Dugong?"

Mara nodded. "Truly Sir. Look behind the Master's body!"

So curious about the Dugong said by Mara, the God instantly turned his body. "Where is Dugong you mean? I didn't see him at all."

The god slightly snorted annoyed at having been successfully lied to by this young girl. "You lied to me?"

The god turned his body back. And...

Crick....

Mara was no longer seen before God. The girl had run far away leaving the God."The dugong went into the water again sir. He's been hot for too long sunbathing. Ahaha!!!!"

Mara's shout successfully made an anxious smile rise on the lips of God. Many times he ruffled his hair violently because every time he was in front of the girl, he seemed to have difficulty to resist all the tempestuous desires.

You always look adorable. Is it possible that I have completely forgotten all the wounds I felt since our first meeting? Nismara Dewani Hayati's... Will you be the antidote to the wounds I feel?
