The Love of Habib

The Love of Habib
Chapters 10.10

Mother and Father were sitting relaxed in the living room accompanied by coffee and light snacks on the table. The atmosphere of the house is very warm and peaceful. The house is much quieter than a few days after grandfather made an announcement that Aish's savings money should not be contested by anyone even though it is his own father.

I honestly feel ashamed about this decision because for his daughter's life, why is grandfather more responsible than him?

"What are you thinking?" Ask Mother gently.

Suddenly her husband who was actively talking just now suddenly fell silent with a blank look in his eyes.

Realized, Dad rubbed his face awkwardly not intend to reveal it to the wife.

"It's nothing. Where's Aira? He's on holiday today, right?" Ask Dad to switch the conversation.

Aira is a day off and usually while on holiday, his favorite daughter will go down and spend a lot of time with her parents. Aira would not be alone and would rather join a family gathering.

"Aira's gone, mas." Mommy replied smiling while shaking her head helplessly.

Early in the morning Aira woke up and helped in the kitchen. Then after breakfast lightning Aira immediately gave permission to the house of Mama Nabila to ask something. What her daughter wants to ask, Mother has guessed it and does not forbid it.

For this is the first time his daughter falls in love and responds to a man. Usually Aira will be indifferent to the opposite sex itself.

"Where?" Dad had just asked and Aira happened to enter from outside.

Aira said her greeting with a pouting face and sat in the middle of Father and Mother.

"Son, where have you been?" Ask Dad to talk to Aira.

Her daughter may be in a bad mood because she is not as cheerful as she usually is.

Aira hugged the shoulder of Mother. Her heart was very sad after listening to Mama Nabila's reply a moment ago.

"Aira out nyari Aunt Nabila, Dad. Aira wanted to ask about the whereabouts of the Thalib habib who had been for more than a month never seen here." Aira replied more and more limply thinking where her heart was.

Aira wanted to know where habib Khalid had been all this time because he had not seen the trunk of his nose for a long time. Every time he thought about the habib, Aira must have wondered if he had been unlucky because every time he went out of the house he never saw the shadow of the habib. Maybe Aira left the house at the wrong time, right?

Dad immediately understood the reason why his daughter was pouting so early in the morning.

"Continue what Aunt Nabila said about the existence of Habib Thalib?" Ask Dad curious.

I also wondered why Habib Khalid had never been seen and never even visited the house again. Though Dad really likes habib Khalid because in addition to handsome, the habib also has a broad religious knowledge. When they are with Aira, how they feel.

Aira breathed a heavy sigh.

"Habib Talib did not live here. Aunt Nabila said that habib Thalib was here just for a while to take care of a business, maybe only two weeks. After finishing his affairs habib Thalib went straight from here and returned to the boarding house where he taught." Aira was sad.

How sad he was when he got the news that the Habib no longer lived here and had gone to another city. Aira grew sad when she thought of the habib who left without saying a word to her. Though he already likes the habib and has great hopes for the habib.

"Back to the boarding house?" Dad frowned displeased.

He did know that habib Khalid was not a citizen here and only stopped for a moment. But his sudden departure without saying a word to his daughter offended him. Because the habib may have feelings for Aira, otherwise, then why did he suddenly come to visit at that time?

Aira nodded sadly. Habib Khalid literally left without saying a word to him.

"Has Habib Talib confirmed his feelings for Aira?" Ask grandma suddenly.

Grandma and Grandpa came to the living room together. They had listened to the talk of Aira and her parents.

"grandmother." Call Aira shy.

Not only had he never talked about feelings, Habib Khalid had never even noticed them when deliberately passing by. Habib Khalid always kept silent a thousand languages and continued without any intention of stopping his steps.

Aira knew it was embarrassing but she always believed that the habib was so because they were still not mahram.

"Yet..." Aira replied more embarrassed.

Grandfather beside grandma suddenly shook his head helplessly.

"Then why are you acting as if you have a relationship with him? Look at your reckless behavior, lest you make trouble for yourself." Grandpa warned. The expression on his old face was somewhat distorted.

Aira's face immediately flushed red in warning by grandfather. He also did not know why his attitude was like this, claiming as if he had a relationship with the habib.

Not only Aira was embarrassed, but Father and Mother were also no less shy. They thought Aira had gotten into that stage, but who would have thought that Aira had never gotten to that stage?

"Don't you ever say you'd help Aira talk to Talib's family?" Said Dad shyly.

Grandfather shook his head in denial.

"I didn't know him at the time. I thought he was a stranger. But after he said his name, I realized he was 'the boy'." Sighing deeply, grandfather's face suddenly showed a rare expression of relief. He then looked at Father and Mother while talking seriously, "The child is not easily provoked. I hope you don't make him mad."

Grandfather's warning was a bit strange and raised all sorts of guesses in Dad's heart. He wondered who exactly was the Habib of Thalib to make grandfather speak this seriously?

And to his surprise, grandfather knew habib Khalid while his own much younger father did not.

"But Aira likes her, grandpa. Didn't grandfather want to help Aira get close to him?" Aira asked dissatisfied.

Grandpa shook his head seriously.

"It's not that Grandpa won't, but grandpa can't do it." Grandfather refused to explain further.

Seeing Aira like this, grandfather suddenly thought of his beloved grandson who was far away in another city. His grandson is stubborn but never to force his will, especially if the interlocutor is a grandfather. His grandson was actually gentle and kind-hearted, but covered in his indifferent look.

In contrast to Aish who is somewhat indifferent but soft-hearted, Aira has actually made grandfather disappointed.

He was really disappointed with her.

"We can try it." Aira's whispers were sad mixed with anger.
